Dr. Lisa graduated from Waukee High School in 1981 and went on to attend the University of Iowa, where she graduated from Dental School in 1991. In 1996, Dr. Lisa opened up her practice; Waukee Family Dentistry. Lisa and her husband, John Romano, have three daughters, they all reside in the Waukee area also.
Dr. Tina graduated from Waukee High School in 1991 and went on to attend the University of Iowa, where she graduated from Dental School in 2001. In 2001, Tina joined her sister at Waukee Family Dentistry. Tina and her husband have three children together.
Donna is a Registered Expanded Functions Dental Assisant. She is currently the Office Manager at Waukee Family Dentistry and has been with Dr. Kurtz since 1997. Donna has worked in dentistry for 40 years in both chairside and front office dentistry. She is a graduate of DMACCs dental assisting program. Donna enjoys boating & spending time with her 2 children, & 4 grandchildren.

I called before I went here to be sure they took my insurance. The receptionist took my info. She said their system was down and would call me back before my appointment to let me know. I recieved no phone call. I went to my appointment checked I'm and nothing was said about them not being a provider for my insurance. They took me back. Did x rays. Then dr comes in and says we are not a provider of your insurance. I was livid. And no I'm not paying that bill. Respect people!!

One of the better dental waiting rooms around. A very thorough intake, exam, and cleaning. Polite staff and a great overall experience.

When I said I wasn't interested in having x-rays taken because I just had them taken 6 months ago, instead of respecting my decision, the dentist mockingly said I would get more radiation going outside for 15 minutes. I also was told I needed to be drilled for 3 different cavities. I went to another dentist for a second option and they said there were no cavities and I didn't need any work done. I wouldn't recommend this office.

Looking for a dentist in Waukee/Dallas County? Look no further! Waukee Family Denistry is a top notch practice. Their friendly staff is efficient, caring, and dedicated to their patients. The Kurtz sisters are real, down to earth, and relatable. We like their practice so much that when we moved 10 hours away, we refused to establish care and schedule our visits for when we will be in Iowa! Our family of four highly recommends Waukee Family Dentistry!

Waukee Family Dentistry is fabulous. I have gone to them since the early 2000's. They are wonderful at accommodating my schedule and even have appointments at 7:00 am. Today I had a filling replaced that had decay under it. I was out of the office within 35 minutes of arriving, with a new filling, all without any pain! The staff is friendly and professional. Your comfort is their main concern. Doctors Lisa and Tina are the best dentists that I have ever used. I have moved to just south of Ankeny but still drive to Waukee for these great dentists!

Nice front desk person. Facility is outdated, in dire need of a makeover. Dentist was unprofessional and showed no sense of urgency in addressing my concerns while attempting to make me feel like I owed her something for squeezing me in. After discussing with members of the community in Waukee the general feedback was my visit and the atmosphere was consistent with the experience of others. Hygienist was nice. Dentist has a terrible disposition about her and the way she carries herself. Generally off putting in her nature and done so in a way that she probably doesnt even realize she makes people feel this way.
