Dr. April W. Stringfellow is a native of Memphis, TN, but raised in Mendenhall, MS. Upon graduation from Magee High School (C/O 96), Dr Stringfellow continued her studies at Alcorn State University where she majored in Biology. After receiving her Bachelors of Science, Dr Stringfellow matriculated to Marquette University School of Dentistry and received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (2005). During additional hospithttps://engine.prosites.com/webeditor/PageMeetTheTeam/EditPage.aspx#al-based training in a General Practice Residency at University of MS Medical Center (2006), Dr Stringfellow gained more knowledge to be able to provide comprehensive dental care to the broadest spectrum of the population. Following completion of residency, the journey into private practice began and Watson Family Dentistry opened its doors (2007). Since inception, Watson Family Dentistry has met the needs of the Metro Jackson Community and the surrounding areas. Dr. Stringfellows Mission Statement is to provide comprehensive dental services in an environment that is safe, reassuringly pleasant and comfortable.
Dr. Stringfellow routinely welcomes and mentors Dental Assisting Students and Aspiring Dentists and serves as Adjunct Clinical Faculty for Delta Technical College, Hinds Community College and University of MS Medical Center School of Dentistry. She also works Locum Tenens for the Military, supporting our Veterans, active-duty Service members, Reserves and National Guard.
In 2015 Dr Stringfellow was awarded the honor of Mississippis Healthcare Hero, for her contributions to increasing the well-being of the community. She also shares the honor since 2019 of being a finalist in the Best of Jackson Healthcare reader poll for Best Dentist. She is a member of the Mississippi Dental Society and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

As a dental professional, I stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for my patients. As a doctor, I recognize that my patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in me and my team. That is just one reason why I value each and every patient relationship.

The wife and I were looking forward to having Dr. Watson as our new dentist but after having our teeth cleaned there, we think we'll go back to our old dentist. Eureka was the person that did the procedure and I have to admit that she did do a good job. But the pain we felt from the cleaning was the worst we had ever felt in all our years of having them cleaned. It felt like we had been in a boxing match. Five hours later my mouth was still bleeding from when she flossed them and cut into my gums. Our mouths didn't feel normal again until the next afternoon. Eureka needs to learn to not be so heavy handed when she's cleaning teeth. I didn't see any other complaints about her so maybe she was having an off day at our expense.

I have to get a root canal and I'm very scared that it's going to hurt I just hope she make me comfortable!!

I am a long time patient of Dr Watson and she has never let me down. Dr Watson and her team of professionals are superb. They will treat what ever dental issue I have and talk to me about long term care and maintenance of my teeth and gums. She is also very gentle during my procedures. Keep up the great work Dr Watson. This is my son second time visiting Dr. Watson. The first time was so pleasant and welcoming!!! Well today was a total nightmare. I wasn't allowed to go back with my son whose a minor not explanation as to why. Dr. Watson didn't explain the procedure to my son, she didn't explain to him she was giving him a shot(3) to numb him she never even asked him if he was comfortable while working on his tooth. After the procedure was done they just told my son they were done a sent him out. Nobody never came out to tell me as a parent what procedure was done and what are the restrictions. The Dr should've came out before and after to explain everything she was doing and what she could not do . instead she told the receptionist Although the work looks nice he received unfortunately it will not last long at all!! I came here to get a broken tooth fixed without having the hassle of having to keep returning. I'm a firm believer of supporting black business but when it comes to being professional it simply wasn't there today.

I previously had Dr. Watson for approximately five years! She is the best! She always tried to find ways to save teeth before suggesting extraction. Don't know that anyone else is that caring. In addition, she is extremely patient and she listens to her clients.

I had a great experience here! The staff was very friendly, nice, and down to earth! They answered all concerns and even gave me two different optional solutions. It was very easy to set an appointment as well!!

I have been going to doctor Watson for about 5 months now.Dr.Watson and staff especially Mrs.Winnie are very professional.(I felt right at home).I have severe anxiety(so I was terrified) but Dr.Watson has such a calming voice and talked me through it to relax me more.Ive had 4 teeth pulled (one each visit,) and she was wonderful each time.Thank you so much Dr.Watson for being such understanding nice person.It meant everything to me.

I love this dental office. I have been a patient for several years. They are always friendly and prompt. My appointment is always first thing in the morning, because I can stop on my way to work. I know I'll get in and out.

My visits there has been a pleasant experience. My son & I were there yesterday to get cleanings so we didn't have to see Dr. Watson. Dr. Watson still came & hugged my son & I as if we were family. I could tell from the beginning that she was well rounded & down to earth. She's very attentive to who's in the building & is very nice to her client & visitors.

By far the worst dental experience I have ever had. I do not recommend and I will not ever return. The dentist was not very welcoming neither time I patronized the business. I was quoted a price, with my insurance and deductible I was quoted 58 dollars. 50 was deductible. I ended up paying 83 dollars because the dentist broke the tooth while taking it out and she had to do hand surgery as they said. I have had an extraction done before and the dentist broke the tooth, this could happen so why would you charge extra. Then she destroyed my mouth. I have braces she damaged a brace and hit my teeth with metal objects. It was so uncomfortable and painful. I am so upset. Just pathetic!! Then the receptionist didn't even know what patronize a business meant. I really try to support black owned businesses, but they make it hard. I am so disappointed! But I will be sending her my orthodontist bill so she can pay for the damage she caused to them with her so called hand surgery.
