A great experience overall. I was greeted by name by the front office staff. The assistant was very professional and courteous. Dr. Chapman was responsive in treating any discomfort I felt. When I left the insurance billing was explained to me and I was welcome to contact them with any questions. I received a follow-up phone call the next day to see how I was doing.
One of the best dental/endodontic procedures I've ever experienced. I felt totally relaxed and as comfortable as a person undergoing dental work can be. Dr. Chapman and the entire staff were great. 10 out of 10 Rah-Rah points. Would highly recommend his service for anyone needing to have an endodontic procedure. Waterfront Endodontics rocks!
Kudos to Dr and staff for fully explaining what was going to happen and for the follow-up. Very professional. The' what was going to happen' portion was accomplished so I would understand and the follow-up was an unexpected surprise. Taking time to call and make sure that everything was okay was very nice. Appreciate all that was done.

Waterfront Endodontics is located at 501 Portway Avenue - #202, Hood River, Oregon. Our office is at the new port development upstairs from Solstice cafe. We are just down the street from Waterfront Park and across the street from the Luhr Jensen Beach parking lot. Easy access from I-84 by taking the Hood River City Center exit (63) and heading North towards the river. Dr. Chapman received his bachelor of science from the University of Nevada. He attended Oregon Health Science University for his Doctor of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he decided to serve his country and was stationed as a Naval officer in Honolulu, Hawaii where he performed rotations in Endodontics and Oral Surgery. Once his tour was completed, he continued in private practice in downtown Honolulu. After 10 years as a general dentist, Dr. Chapman decided to return to residency to study microscopic endodontics at the University of Southern California. He completed his residency as a published chief resident studying under and alongside some of the most influential Endodontists in the country.
Dr. Chapman is originally from Hood River and is happy to have his wife and two children home. An avid outdoorsman, Travis loves the lifestyle that Hood River has to offer. Skiing, windsurfing, stand up paddling, mountain biking and outrigger canoeing are just some of activities he enjoys.

The other half of Travis has been working alongside of him as office manager since he began in private practice in 2007. She enjoys getting to know patients and ensuring they receive the best experience possible.
Mercedeshas always strived to be the best at her career and is a warm smile to greet you from the moment you call our office. From insurance coordination and financial agreements to chairside assisting, Mercedes will make you feel comfortable and help to answer any questions you may have. A graduate from Concorde dental assisting program in 2010.
Gretchen is not only exceptionally professional, she is very comforting to patients young and old. Her chairside skills have been fine tuned to make your time in the chair as seamlessly smooth as possible. Her extensive knowledge in endodontics is very helpful for patients that may have questions about their specific procedure. Always a smile, and happy to talk.

Beautiful setting! Tooth was infected w/ swelling on my gums so I was referred to Dr Chapman for a root canal. After X-rays he showed me the problem. Dr Chapman is very nice and a skilled practitioner. Was going to have a lapse in coverage so they squeezed me in before it expired. Great staff...overall a great experience. Thanks!

My dead tooth emergency requiring root canal was worse than covid. But doctor Travis recommended the right painkiller and helped me get the procedure booked in a couple of days. The office with the waterfront view to kiteboarding beach was impressive and high-Tech AF. Definitely felt like a place to have a procedure as complicated as root canal done. And the she staff was super friendly as we enjoyed a few laughs together. Very grateful for making the whole experience so flow. Don't recommend needing a root canal but if you need one, this is the place to do it!

We came in for a free consultation after my 10 year old son had an pretty traumatic injury to his front tooth. At this point, he had received a filling at the dentist and was feeling a lot better, and very reluctant to go and even consider getting a dreaded root canal. Dr. Chapman was amazing! He is fantastic with kids!! He put my son (Josh) right at ease, making him laugh and explaining what a root canal really is. Through his testing we were able to determine pretty quickly that my son had a dead front tooth. We decided to give it another week to re-test, more than anything just to give our son a week to wrap his head around the fact that he's going to be getting a root canal. Dr. Chapman explained that if we stay ahead of it, and get to it before it gets infected, it should be pretty painless. After receiving the same results the next week, we scheduled his root canal for the following week. Needless to say, we were all pretty nervous. He went in the morning, and after joking around with Dr. Chapman for a while, Josh picked a funny movie to watch. Once he put those headphones, he had a huge smile on his face, and Dr. Chapman went to work. When it was over, my son said he was barely even sore. He resumed activities as usual and we have had zero issues ever since. We are so glad that we went in for that consultation when we did! Dr. Chapman took the time to really explain why a root canal would be needed, and set expectations for the procedure. Same goes with his staff - Kristi and Mercedes did all the work ahead of time to get a quote so we knew exactly how much we would be paying. I cannot say enough good things! When it comes to something like a root canal, you don't want to mess around. It's great to know that Dr. Chapman and his team are here to take great care of us!

Buyer beware. Ask for a quote! The fees are a third higher then if a root canal is at the general dentist even if your referral was because your general dentist just doesn't like doing them. Had my husband found one of the many capable dentists we would have saved at least $350 on one view of the tooth that isn't needed or required on uncomplicated root canals when it is done at your general dentist. From what I can tell the skill and services are excellent and appropriate when the conditions warrant a specialist. Just saying if you don't make sure you get the facts up front, you may get it in the end.

They did mail me the statements for 5 months in a row, but I was assuming this would be paid in time by Met Life. Now it's a year past the time to submit to the correct insurance company, and insurance is no longer an option.

They have helped me twice now, the first was to fix a tooth that was never truly fixed the first time, the second they sent me back to my dentist because the tooth would be better pulled than a root canal because of the way it was decayed out. Their location is beautiful and their care is fantastic.

Dr. Chapman is the BEST! My Mom was in town on holiday and needed to be seen asap for a possible root canal. He squeezed her in to his busy schedule and took care of her. Thanks again!
