In addition to dental school, Dr. Kim pursued Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through Lutheran Medical Center Dental Medicine. Prior tojoiningour office, he has been practicing dentistry in Redding for a year then Turlock for 4 years in a private practice setting. At the forefront of clinical dentistry and tooth developmental biology, he has received multiple clinical science and research awards and certificates; he presented his research findings both nationally and internationally since 2009 and continues to participate in numerous continuing education courses.
Dr. Kims passion and calling is dentistry. He continually strives to put the patients first and deliver the best possible care with highest standards according to the latest evidence-based treatment modalities. He also is serving for Modesto Nineveh HOPE Medical / Dental Missions Community Services along with his wife Jasmine Kim. Outside of dentistry, they are busy young parents of Joanna and Lillian Kim.

I broke a tooth on my denture and everywhere I tried could not help me. I called WFD and they got me in couple days I dropped my denture off at 8:30 am and it was fixed by 2:30 pm same day. It looks perfect and I can smile again. I highly recommend them for all your dental work. I had no insurance cash only and still did not break me, very low cost. So again, I highly recommend them for all your dental needs. I will be seeing them again to fix a couple other issues.

Oh my goodness! Let me tell you...as someone who'd rather birth 20 babies than ever go to the dentist because of a very solid fear of what I thought was every dentist that exists...I can admit when I am wrong...it only took 35 years to find "the one" and that's Dr. Kim!! Never have I ever been so entertained but also nearly fallen asleep while having my teeth drilled into. He is something special. The most amazing dentist I've ever encountered. My normal resting heart rate is 78-80bpm but when I sat up after receiving 4 fillings my heart rate was at 68bpm!!! He is gentle, considerate, aware, checks in with you often and will seriously make you laugh and spit water out your mouth. I cannot say enough good things about this dental office. I guess it was meant to be that I'd move to a tiny town and find the dentist of my dreams!! Thank you Dr. Kim and everyone at Waterford Family Dental!! You are all amazing people!!

The environment is very nice and clean, the personnel seemed very friendly and welcoming. I had a broken tooth extracted, it took about an hour and it wasn't pretty but the staff and the Dr. Managed my pain well and as he worked he would say step by step as the procedure went along and it eased my nerves a bit.

Dr Kim is truly great! He was wonderful with my 7 year old son and I... My son didnt get scared at all while getting his cavities filled. We loved Dr Yamamoto (previous dentist) and wish him a great retirement.....and now we love Dr Kim!

Hands down, best dental office I have ever been to! Great with kids, calming enviornment and Dr. Kim explains what he is doing while doing the work. The entire staff is amazing and super helpful! Thankful my family and I made the switch to Waterford family dentist!
