Dr. Wayne LaRiviere openedWaterboro Dentistin 1982. He has dedicated his career to serving his community with an emphasis on helping each patient achieve optimal oral health. His compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, and a lifelong goal of reaching clinical perfection has led to a full and satisfying career.
Dr. Valerie LaRiviere, a Waterboro native, grew up riding the dental chairs up and down in the LaRiviere family dental practice and has early memories of popping bubble wrap while waiting for her dad in the dental lab. In high school, she was a speedy right wing for Massabesic Field Hockey (go Mustangs!) and later graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Valerie fell in love with the art of dentistry while observing Dr. Wayne LaRiviere work with patients, and returned to the practice after completing dental school at Roseman University of Health Sciences in Jordan, Utah. As a dentist, Valerie loves helping return teeth to a state of beauty and function, and is continually sharpening her skills through continued education in ceramic and gold restorations, dentures, endodontics, and treatment planning. Valerie is a member of the American Dental Association and the Spear Education Community, and has been awarded the clinical dedication award and the quintessence award for academic achievement. In her free time, Valerie enjoys winter surfing and mountain biking with her huband Stu, whipping up killer ramen, and snuggling with her very large cat, Widget.

I love Dr. LaRiveres wonderful staff. They are professional and nice to every patient that is there. I like that I Am greeted with a friendly smile and the staff treats me like family!!! I Am afraid of needles but Dr. LaRivierre is able to always keep me calm and reassures and asks me how I Am and is very thorough!

I have never have had as positive experience at a dentist office than i have regularly have with Dr LaRiviere. If you struggle with any kind of anxiety related to dental work I HIGHLY recommend you check him out!

1st visit. Wanda and Dr. Val were oh so patient and informative. I even learned the names of the different sides of the tooth. Lingual, buckle, mesial, dystal. (May want to check the spelling) Looking forward to more visits!

Dr LaRiviere was so sweet with my daughter. She was very nervous having to repair a tooth and Dr LaRiviere spoke so kindly to her. He explained the process and was very patient. This proud grandpa is very kind and personable. Highly recommend this practice!

I am a HUGE dentist phobic. I have been hurt by dentists and Dr. LaRiviere has never hurt me. I have been a patient of his for years and I highly recommend him to anyone who has issues with other dentists. He is gentle and kind. If you live away from Waterboro, it is worth the trip to see him for his expertise and gentle treatment.

I have always received exceptional care from my hygienist. Since coming to this practice I haven't needed any work done, just cleanings and x-rays over the past ~4 years. I am actually looking forward to getting a cavity because this office came highly recommended from a professor of dental medicine so I am certain the dentist will provide an excellent restoration.

The staff at Dr L's office is always so inviting and friendly. My hygenist, I believe her name was Kristen, was very thourough and full of cheer even though I was her last patient of the day. Thank you for always remembering my name and for you consistant expertise in the field of dentistry.

I had what was supposed to be a standard filling but turned out to be a much more complex procedure... almost 2 hours. Dr. L and his assistant, Wanda, were great. They always made sure that I was as comfortable as possible and even made me laugh a few times. In the end Dr. L did an amazing job on my tooth. You can't even tell there is a filling. I highly recommend them.

Dr L was great he took the time to explain the process of my care and the time frame as well. Very personable person and he makes you feel very comfortable coming to the dentist. Would recommend this practice to anyone!

We have been going to Dr lariviera's office and getting wonderful service and personal care for many years. They are very caring looking after each one of their patience. An elderly family member dear to our hearts, was part of their patients. They were so concerned they contacted us! We were so grateful their care goes beyond just there office. Our dental Care is wonderful! I was having some problems with a tooth and I was able to call and not only get somebody in the office but it was Dr l himself. His concern goes very deep and caring we become like family to him. It is a dentist office to be a part of! I think we've been going there over 20 plus years heavy on the plus side.
