Dr. Amy grew up in Colorado Springs near the Garden of the Gods. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, and graduated with her DDS from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Denver (where she met Dr. Danny!). After dental school, Dr. Amy finished a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Seattle, Washington. She then spent several years as a general dentist in both the public health and private practice sectors before deciding to specialize as a pediatric dentist.
Dr. Amy matched to her top choice pediatric dental residency program at the Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where she spent the next 2 years training. In her last year at the program, she had the honor of serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Amy is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Outside of caring for her patient family, Dr. Amy loves spending time with Dr. Danny, their daughter, Emma, and pup, Keagan. You can find her exploring local food spots, enjoying time outdoors, going to live sporting events, and traveling.

Had a few cleanings done and cavities filled at Water Valley, Dr. Danny and the whole staff are extremely friendly and made my overall experience as pleasurable as it could be! Great, Professional, Caring crew! Highly recommend!

Dr. Amy is the best dentist we have been to! My daughter is very scared of doctor and dentist visits, and she is extremely cautious and anxious about the experience. During our first visit Dr. Amy recognized this right away. She let our daughter ask many questions, express her fears, touch all the instruments, and explained every step along the way. She even sent us a personal text message the next day to check in on how she was feeling! She's patient, kind, and so professional. She doesn't overdue treatments and takes a preventative approach to maintaining small issues, etc. Today was our third visit, and it was the first time I've seen our little one smile and be at ease going into an exam room of any kind. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Amy and our experience at Water Valley Dental. Highly recommend!!

Awesome place! Very knowledgeable and careful. Dr Danny took extra time to explain everything to me in detail, and he made sure nothing was rushed. It has been a very pleasant experience.

Dr. Danny and his mother are both very nice people. However, it's sad when a dentist says you are welcome to get a second opinion and you are always welcome back, but when you get a second opinion and go back, the dentist says, "Well, I'll have to think about it and I'll let you know within the week if you can come back". So basically they are saying if you get a second opinion because you don't trust their opinion, you really aren't welcome back.

Dr. Danny and his team are so wonderful. If you are in need of a little more complicated dental care, as I was, I couldn't recommend Dr. Danny enough. He is meticulous about his work. He made sure I was well informed throughout my procedures and kept a very calm and comfortable environment along the way. I am so thankful I found Water Valley Dental for my procedure. Such a great experience! My husband started going here and we made the switch for our kiddos and myself shortly after. Staff is friendly and knowledgable, and work together really well. It's especially important for our kiddos to have great dental experiences and both kiddos have nothing but nice things to say. Dr. Amy Banks explained everything to our youngest and really listened to his concerns, helping him feel comfortable and safe while getting great dental care. For me, I have only been seen so far for tooth pain but I was scheduled quickly and all options for addressing the issue were clearly explained so I was able to make a decision that worked best for me. Dental care can be a sore point for many but everyone here seems really keen on being aware and thoughtful to ensure patients feel valued and truly cared for.

Such wonderful people from the front desk to behind the scenes. They were very welcoming and friendly and absolutely wonderful with children. They did a far more through job than the other dentist I had taken my son to. They are by far the best dentistry.

I'm usually very anxious when going to the dentist but going to Water Valley Dental, everyone was so kind and friendly. The dental hygienist was fantastic on navigating me through the visit and on what to expect. The dentist came in, reviewed over things and made a plan of action. I checked out, scheduled my next appts and they told me what to expect for pricing and procedures. All the staff from when I walked in to when I left, we're so comforting! Highly recommend this place!

Everyone at Water Valley Dental is so nice, informative, and gives genuine customer service. They truly care about everyone they serve. I would recommend them a million times!! Dr. Danny is amazing and makes you feel so comfortable in what can feel like a vulnerable situation. I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful hygienist today (which happens to be the Dr.'s mom) and she was the absolute sweetest. What an amazing small business that clearly takes pride in serving this community! 10 stars!!!!
