Dr. Lori Liu founded Watchung Avenue Dental in order to provide high quality family dentistry to theSomerset community, where she also lives, with her family. She is a graduate of University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Dental School. In addition to earning her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at UMDNJ, Dr. Lori Liu was also awarded the eminent Dr. Frank E. Frates Outstanding Clinician Award and was inducted into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society. Dr. Liu completed her residency at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. She has extensive training in cosmetic and emergency dentistry. Dr. Liu is a certified Invisalign provider, and studied implant dentistry at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine maxicourse. Dr. Liu is a licensed dentist in both New Jersey and New York states. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Chinese American Dental Association, and Chinese American Independent Practice Association, and Second District Dental Society.
Dr. Liu loves to spend time with her husband, daughter,and pets. She enjoys often going to the local restaurantsand stores. Above all, Dr. Liu enjoys treating her patients as she would her own friends and family. She is a firm believer of providing quality dental care. Her patients appreciate her gentle, patient, and caring approach to treatments.

Best dentist ever! So helpful and gentle. Walks you through what she's doing next. Takes her time explaining any concerns and answering questions. Pays attention to your history. Office/waiting room is nice and clean. Just great!

Best dentist I've had. Very gentle, lets you know what's happening next within the procedure, and very thorough. Is it just me, but I've never been introduced to "numbing jelly" until I started going to her! I've had at least 8 dentists in my life and never came across this wonderful stuff. Dr. Liu will never leave a question unanswered, she will do her best to resolve and issue and connect you to the right people to address any concern.

My daughter had two attempted first check-ups prior to our visit here. Dr. Liu and her staff were very comforting and thorough with the check-up. Her office/equipment was cleaned and sanitized.

My husband and I go here. She is a great dentist and we appreciate that she's open Saturdays. We even take our son, who hangs in the waiting room, enjoying the leather couches and cable, while we take turns getting our teeth cleaned. Highly recommend!
