Being a dentist is an important profession. It allows me to help people every day to achieve optimal oral health and relieve them from pain and worry. Everyone deserves to have a great smile and confidence, and my team and I can help them to achieve these goals.
For all my enjoyment of the clinical work and continual learning, what it really comes down to is my passion for working with many people on a daily basis. We meet so many incredible people every day and have the privilege to be a part of their lives and help them to maintain their health.
I have so many interactions on a weekly basis that stay with me, as people can be amazing if you just listen to them. We hear so many stories of the past and the present and what amazing achievements people have and strive to obtain.
In todays world, we all seem to be rushing to the next place, but if we could just take a moment to listen to each other, we can learn so much. We listen to hear what our patients wants and needs are, and we strive to reach these goals for them. Ultimately, we just want to make our patients smile!
I was inspired to join the dental field by my mother, who worked in a dental office as a dental assistant for most of my life. I enjoyed going to work with her and helping in the office with whatever small tasks they assigned to me. The atmosphere in the dental office was a warming and friendly feeling. Getting to know the patients and their families and watching them grow gave me a sense of a bigger community and family.
I attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County and graduated with a BS in biochemistry and molecular biology. I attended the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. While in dental school, I was a member of Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society. Members of this society must show proficiency and excellence in fabrication of crowns, bridges, and dentures.
Now, more than 20 years later, I participate in continuing education to stay current and to gain knowledge of new products and services available in the dental field. It is also important to review the tasks that are important for a dental practice such as infection control and keeping up with new medications and interactions between them. Learning is power, and we strive to continue to learn and improve our practice for the benefit of the practice and for our patients.
The boys are involved in many different sports, which take up a large part of my time away from the office. We also love camping and enjoy being out by the pool or on the boat in the summer. I also love to work on crafts, but spending quality time with my family and friends is the most important part of my life.
My boys are both involved in Boy Scouts and my husband and I both have volunteered in the Scouting organization for more than 15 years. Both of my boys are Eagle Scouts and involved in Order of the Arrow as well. Giving back is important for all of us, and Scouts is how we make our community grow and thrive for future generations.
We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.
Ours is a family-friendly, people-centered practice that offers advanced dentistry in a safe, supportive, and caring atmosphere. We have been privileged to serve the Middle River area since 2005, and built lasting relationships with our patient family while helping each person achieve and maintain optimal oral health and a radiant smile!
Each of us believes in providing you with the dentistry you need and the services you want. Rather than a one-treatment-for-all approach, we take time to listen and learn what you expect from dental care, along with any concerns you might have. This ensures we are able to help you reach your oral health goals in the manner you desire.
