Terrible billing customer service. I asked to have a charge explained to me and was told to call my insurance company which I had done. Ended up paying a big bill with no answers. Doctor was great.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Washington Pediatric Dentistry. First red flag? Good luck trying to get a real human to talk on the phone. They communicate with robo-texting. It took me two months to get an appointment because of so much back and forth with robo-communication. I took off of work today to attend to the appointment for my child, only to find out that they're an "out of network" provider for Montgomery County Public School employees (even in spite of me opting in to the more expensive dental plan). Explain to me how my former premium Aetna insurance with Fairfax County Public Schools was acceptable, but my current premium Aetna insurance with MCPS is not. On top of that, they are a dentist office serving MCPS students and families, located IN Montgomery County, so why aren't they able to serve MCPS employees as an in network provider? It doesn't make sense. To add further insult to injury, they insisted they needed to take my child's x-rays (to make more money off of my "out of network" visit) even though all I needed them to do was fill out 6 questions on the DC Health form indicating that my child did not have any cavities, including any cavities on her permanent teeth (which she doesn't even have permanent teeth yet, thus making two of the six questions easy to answer "no"). So I waited two months and wasted a day off from work because these incompetent people wanted to make $500 off of me for answering 4 questions on a school health form. I got out of there with my child as fast as I could and I told them I would be leaving this review, to which Dr. Jordan said, "Okay". DR. JORDAN, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF AND YOUR STAFF! And PS nice promoting Halloween and candy in a dentist office!! Maybe reconsider playing Nightmare Before Christmas in your waiting room, since it's a pretty dark film and it's not even rated G.

I loved this office in the beginning, so much to the point where I would refer all of our pediatric patients from our office to this office but I don't know what's changed as of this year but they have really been dropping the ball. Had an appt in April that they had to cancel because their hours changed, ok cool. Rescheduled for June just for them to tell me a week prior to my kids appt that they had to cancel because the doctor wasn't gonna be in, mind you I had to call them because I was trying to confirm the time and that's when they mentioned it. Rescheduled my kids for August. Show up to the building and they called me at the time of my kids appt to tell me they cancelled my appt because I never confirmed and said that's their policy if they don't get a confirmation that they cancel the appt. When I first took my kids to this office NEVER was that mentioned and even so if that is the policy, the correct way to do that is leave it in the message, email, voicemail that if we don't get a confirmation that we will cancel as well as leaving another message to the patient stating their appt was canceled due to no confirmation. I work in a dental office as well so I understand cancelling without confirmation but we ALWAYS communicate that to our patients so this was extremely frustrating and the end of our relationship with Washington Pediatrics.

The staff is always professional and helpful. We check in with ease and they take good care of my son by explaining everything to him and being so gentle.

The reason I ended up changing to a new dentist was the office disorganization. They asked me to come early for an appointment (after I disclosed we'd just gotten back into town from travel the day prior) for my two kids. Though their policy states that vaccine cards are required after recent travel, instead they just decided to cancel our appointment when I arrived (essentially changing their own policy on the spot). When I asked why, they got an attitude about it and told me to read their forms. When I pulled up the form and read the exact policy back to them, they said, "well sometimes we just decide we'd rather reschedule." Given that I'd been fully transparent about travel verbally and via their form prior to the appointment, I would've appreciated if they'd had a bit more respect for my time and just asked me to reschedule prior to me taking the afternoon off to take my kids in. They didn't, however, seem to be at all phased by the child who was coughing, unmasked, and obviously sick in the waiting room.

They did an excellent job with both my kids. My daughter asks when she can go back. Very friendly and accommodating to young children and thorough in cleaning and explanations to parents.

Great pediatric dentistry. The doctors and assistants are all focused on making the child feel supported and comfortable. They explain everything to the child before they are doing anything in their mouth. The front desk staff is very friendly, responsive, and proactive in reaching out to parents.

My son has been seeing Dr. Jordan many years. I knew from his first encounter that Elijah was in great hands. Elijah looks forward to going to the dentist and the level of patience and care that she and her team give to your family is immeasurable. As a mother to a young king with special needs, she has made my anxiety of him going to the dentist obsolete. Thankful for Washington Pediatric Dentistry.

The Pediatric clinic was not able to see my 19 year old autistic son - as his teeth had developed , but the front desk were gracious enough to call me and offered to refer me to a Dentist that had the tools and expertise to care for my special needs son. The referral process was professionally done and everything has gone on pretty well. Thank you.

Excellent and professional staff from the front desk, to the dental assistant, to the dentist herself. The environment was immaculate, safety precautions were followed, and updates were provided throughout the appt. Working in health administration myself, these are the things I look for when going to an appt. Lastly, this was the first time my daughter has ever tolerated getting an x-ray of her teeth after going to 2 other dentist offices prior to this one. The fact that my daughter said, "I want to come here everyday," at the end of her appt was enough to keep us coming to Washington Pediatric Dentistry. Kudos to you and your team, Dr. Jordan!

This office caters to children! They are kid focused from the moment you step into the door. Not only do they make sure the kids are comfortable but they encourage them, teach them and build confidence in them. I LOVE this office. My children are excited to go to the dentist and they leave feeling so good about themselves. The clientele is diverse so they understand cultural nuances and the overall energy in the office is great. I've not experienced any challenges to date. I think it provides kids with the confidence and reinforcement of good dental care AND ensures parents are well informed of what to expect, what to do next and how to support those habits. This place is great!

Dr. Jordan is awesome! This is our second visit. She explains all procedures and makes my child feel comfortable. Everyone is very pleasant and friendly. They even ask the child what they would like to watch during their visit! They also provide sunglasses for the child to wear while there teeth are cleaned. Very clean and safe environment! Thank you and we will be back!

Friendly, knowledgeable and caring. The dentist took the time to explain the importance of proper dental hygiene from a dental perspective, in a way that my child could explain. The staff were very friendly and professional and as a parent, I felt at ease!

We took our kid to this place a few times and he hated it. The last time we went there the dentist had us hold our kid's arms and legs and very forcibly opened his mouth. While he was crying, she starting talking to me about the dangers of cavities and how he could lose them and damage his permanent teeth (he was 4 at the time, had no cavities, and his teeth are perfectly fine). After this nightmare we stayed in the waiting area for a minute to help him calm down. He was doing so, but got triggered again when he saw the dentist come out again. The ladies in the reception laughed at him for crying. Not empathetic at all. Will never, EVER, go back to that place.

Everyone was very nice. We came for a few cleanings. One day, the hygienist said my 6-year-old son had 4 cavities and needed to come in 4 separate times for fillings, getting nitrous oxide each time. I had a funny feeling about it, so I took him to a highly regarded dentist in DC for a second opinion. The DC dentist said no cavities. I took my son to a third dentist when he moved to Frederick County, and he's still cavity free.
