When Dr. Mehdi Yousefi opened this practice in 1994, it was called the Yousefi Washington Clinic, and the philosophy was simple: provide quality dental care and exceptional customer service to each and every patient. Years later, his daughter and her husband have taken over the practice and rebranded it as Washington Metro Dental. Keeping things in the family has made Dr. Mehdi a proud father with abundant peace of mind. It is a comfort to him knowing that his existing patients will continue to receive the excellent care they are accustomed to, and that new patients will experience the Yousefi difference firsthand.
I am Dr. Alexis Corbitt Washington, one of your general dentists here at the office. Helping patients achieve their best smile makes each day exciting!I graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelors degree in Biological Sciences and a masters degree in Nutrition: Food Sciences. I went on to pursue my dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (rival schools, I know!). I continued my training at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, completing a general practice residency.
Following a six-year career providing dental care to homeless veterans at the DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, I am bringing my love for dentistry and comprehensive care to Washington Metro Dental.I am, and will always be the consummate educational enthusiast! As such, I am a member of the DC Dental Society, the Greater Washington Academy of Dental Studies, and chairwoman for the Robert T. Freeman Dental Society. Keeping current with, and utilizing, the latest dental technology helps me to create a comfortable and relaxed dental environment to care for patients.
I was born and raised in St. Croix, in the U.S. Virgin Islands (60 miles southeast of Puerto Rico). I grew up in Americas Paradise, snorkeling and scuba diving in a place rich with culture! Currently, I enjoy finding new beaches around the world to explore and scuba dive. While at home in D.C., my cockapoo, Sheba, and I enjoy parks and dog-friendly wineries.

This is by far the best dentist's office in the metropolitan area!! The entire staff really cares about every patient; I feel like family whenever I come into the office!!

I have been coming here for over 20 years, great experience up until the founder retired. Dr. Washington is Fantastic, skills and personality as are the hygienists and assistants. The woman at the front desk that has been there for a long time is great too. My beef is more with the current operation and how they now charge the patient the credit card fee that is normally paid by the practice. New tall girl tried to explain that in saying is not them but the machine. Please, machines only do what they are programed to do. While is not illegal to pass this fee to the payee, it is the cost of doing business that most establishments understand and take care. There is a sign with the founder picture saying they continue the same "exceptional" customer service-- not so much. Disappointed.

This team has amazing bedside manner. I always feel comfortable when coming here - which says a lot because I hate going to the dentist! I've been going here 6 years and feel so happy with the care I receive.

Head and shoulders above the rest. I went in to Washington Metro Dental to see Dr. Corbitt after two failed dental attempts in the last year. While I may have to pay for this visit out of pocket --insurance has a funny way of locking you into a provider-- but, if so, it was well worth it. I received care that was catered to my needs and offered a better understanding of what taking care of older fillings will be like. I'm hopeful that I won't have the same anxiety post new fillings. I urge you all to give the office a chance if you're looking for a dentist that is willing offer a consultation that suits your needs at a rate that is more affordable than these trendy new offices popping up. Also, they, too, have state of the art equipment. Highly recommend.

Due to the manager was extremely rude when asking about pricing her demeanor was awful. On the other hand the Dentist herself was 5 . I been going to Dr. Yousefi office for years. I may not be going back because of the manager.

Everyone at the practice is very friendly & professional. Centrally located by foggy bottom metro, the offices are clean & adhere to covid prevention standards to keep everyone as safe & comfortable as possible. They call insurance on your behalf & explain fees that may not be covered. I found Leanne, the hygienist, especially thorough & helpful. Dr. Washington is equally professional- explains everything clearly & is both very approachable & professional. Highly recommend the practice!

I get very anxious at dentist offices so I was very nervous about trying a new one. I didn't have to worry with this office. Everyone was very nice and attendant to my concerns. I would definitely recommend!
