Dr. Wanyun (Wendy) Xue was born in Shanghai, China and came to the U.S. (New York) at age 9. She grew up on the east coast and has been involved with children from her young teenage years: being a camp counselor, tutor and volunteering at the hospital. Dr. Wendy completed her bachelor's degree from Cornell University in 2002 and went forward to obtain D.D.S from Columbia University in 2007, and finally finished her training in the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry in 2009 at UMDNJ.
Dr. Wendy takes a rather conservative approach to dentistry and believes that prevention should be the main goal in the field of pediatrics. She believes in not only educating the parents in caries prevention, but also in building a positive and trusting relationship with the children. 'Establishing a dental home early in a child 's life is the most important factor in preventing disease and creating a comfortable environment for patients'. 'Dental fear is something that can develop at an extremely young age and continue into adulthood, and I believe that building relationships while treating disease will prevent that.'
Dr. Wendy is also experienced in treating children with special needs. Dr Wendy is licensed to practed in New Jersey and New York, and is also licensed to provide oral conscious sedation as a treatment option.
Dr. Daniel Yoo is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. He earned his dental degree at University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed his specialty training at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Dr. Yoo also completed a General Practice at the University of Michigan Hospital while working with special needs and medically compromised patients and taught at the School of Dentistry.
Dr. Yoo has three young children. As a dedicated father and husband, he enjoys spending his free time with his family. When he is not focusing on preventative dentistry and fighting cavities, he is a certified Spinning instructor and also enjoys hiking, playing basketball, watching movies, and attending sporting events.
Dr. Blass has been in private practice since 1981 during which time he served on the faculty of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Blass completed his undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University in 1975 where he earned his B.A. cum laude. In 1979 he received his D.M.D. degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University Dental School and subsequently did a general practice residency at Englewood Hospital.

We love Washington Family Dentistry. They are extremely attentive and child friendly. It's truly a family attentive environment and they pay special attention ease any anxiety kids may feel. Friendly staff! Excellent service. If you find out you have a cavity after your checkup and time permits, the doctor will fill it right then and there. Will always make the trip up here!

My daughter, younger brother, and I have been attending here for years. The children see Dr. Yoo, and I see Dr. BLASS. ALL STAFFS ARE GREAT. THE COMMUNICATIONS, SERVICES AND EVERYTHING IS GREAT. THE ENVIRONMENT IS SAFE, FAMILY FRIENDLY PLACE AT ALL TIMES. YOU WILL LOVE IT. FOO IS ALWAYS HELPFUL AS WELL. COME ALL AND BRING YOUR FAMILIES, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. Always have a great, smooth experience here. The staff and the dentist ( Dr. Glass and Dr Yoo ) are friendly, respectful, caring and courteous of your time. Dr. Yoo is great with kids. The office is run very smoothly and efficiently. Definitely recommend.

From the front desk Fu is very helpful and courteous. Dr. Blass and his assistant were very gentle and helpful in making sure I was comfortable which helped calm my nerves. Will be going back for more visits! Great recommendation from my family.

SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES! I was in search of a new dentist back in Jan. 2020 and called my insurance company for local in-network dentists. WFD was the closest and had good reviews so I chose them. I always make it a habit to call and verify they are in-network and the man said they were so I set the appointment. Fast forward a year and I get a bill in the mail (my first correspondence from them ever) and it was for $308. All I did was go for a cleaning! I promptly called the office and spoke to a gentleman named Foo who proceeded to rudely exclaim they have not been in-network with my insurance for yrs and I would need to pay immediately. I told him that due to hours being cut with covid, I would make payments and he said that is unacceptable and I would get sent to collections. I was conned into going there and then they have me at their mercy so I have to pay. Other than the Shady business practices, the dentist himself was fine and would've gladly kept going here if not for this duplicitous way of conducting business

I am a disaster relief worker in the area helping with the recent flooding from hurricane Ida. I have a chipped tooth that is causing me a ton of pain. The doctor walked in the room, showed zero care of empathy, and said "what tooth hurts", took a quick glance at the x-ray, then said "we'll see about your insurance" then left the room never to return. I carry dental insurance with the nations largest provider and they refused to treat me unless I paid $1200 on the spot, advising me "you can get reimbursed through your insurance" and saying "that's the policy" when I told them I don't carry that kind of money when I travel for diaster duty, they offered to only take $900 as of that was doing me a favor. I'm glad I'm not bound to help people by the how much money they carry. Was real fun watching the doc leave about the same time I was walking out in his high dollar car.

Very friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in. They welcome you like you are family. Dr. Blass is so thorough and gentle during my dental exam and cleaning, and has very good bedside manner. I've had no cavities the last 3 visits!

I would highly suggest anybody to go here great customer service great doctors and they're always willing to help. Today was my very first appointment with them I looked them up on Google and they booked me the next day. They'd taken all the proper precautions for the covid-19. Thank you guys from Washington Family Dentistry... !!!!

Dr Blass has gentle hands you barely feel anything. I felt at ease the entire time. He spends time with you & goes over all your options, and the office staff are all amazing! Great office.
