Been going to Dr. Tovar for at least 20 years. He is excellent at breaking down complex dental terms and procedures using visual aids and analogies. Easy-going gentle demeanor, so great place for kids as well. Very "light" hands and versed in when anesthesia is needed, so no pain during any procedures I've ever had. Friendly office staff. Plus, he gives you a free Avengers sticker with your goodie bag 10 out of 10 would def recommend.

Not a good experience he told me I need to replace my crown because it was about to break and it could get infected. So he did but not only did it fell off the next day. Tried to call to go see him but no one answered the phone. I went in person and they told me that I needed an appointment. He finally did and it wasn't right. I felt pain every time I chew on something. Now I have to go see him for the 3rd time. I believe I never had to replace my crown to begin with but he told me and believed him and now I have this problem. My previos crown never gave a problem in 18 years. He ruined my tooth.

He uses visuals which really aid in communicating the message and is very thorough at explaining what you have, what causes it, how to prevent it, and future steps. I'd definitely recommend this dentist to friends and family
