Dr. LaCap is the founder of our dental offices, and she and her husband, Dr. Tong, are the proud parents of five children. They feel blessed to have such an abundance of gifts in their lives, and they are dedicated to sharing with others. We truly believe in paying it forward.
As a child, Dr. LaCaps parents struggled to afford the dental care needed for her and her siblings. She has experienced the difficulty of sitting in class with tooth pain and never wants to see this happen to other children. While Dr. LaCaps childhood was happy and she knows her parents worked hard and did their best, she also knows from personal experience that sometimes people need a helping hand. She knows because a dentist gave her family the help they needed. The dentist offered Dr. LaCap and her brothers the dental care they needed to remove dental infections and relieve toothache pain.
This kind and gentle dentist gave Dr. LaCap her first experience with how a dentists generosity can impact lives. As an adult, Dr. LaCap is passionate about giving this same gift to other children and families in need of a helping hand. Whether shes volunteering as a troop leader, class mom, and confirmation teacher or providing free dentistry in our practice and on mission trips around the world, she loves having the opportunity to help kids smile. Brandon has been working in the dental field for several years now and really enjoys helping our dentists create amazing, life-changing smiles for patients! He earned his education at Seton Hall University and has also attended trainings in dental management and leadership at the Scheduling Institute in Georgia.
As Dr. LaCap and Dr. Tongs oldest son, Brandon enjoys working as a Jack of All Trades throughout the practice in fact, hes filled in for nearly every position over time! Whenever hes outside of the office, his personal hobbies include making art, snowboarding, and going on hikes.
Fjolla was born in Kosovo and studied dentistry in Albania. Today, what she enjoys most about her work is being able to touch a patients life in a positive way and ease their anxieties! She also likes that there is never an end to new knowledge, technologies, and techniques in the oral healthcare world. She is proud to be the very first doctor in her family.
In her home country, there was plenty of natural beauty to be found everywhere, which made Fjolla develop a lifelong love of hiking. Her other hobbies include traveling and enjoying delicious foods wherever she goes.
Ashenden is one of our very talented New Patient Coordinators at Washington Dental Associates. With an extensive career in management and customer service, he is the perfect fit to ensure our patients receive an impeccable five-star experience. He will always be there to greet you with a warm smile and will happily answer any questions you may have!
You wont forget your positive experience here with the help of one of our dental assistants, Steven! Hes had the pleasure of working for the patients that hes come to know over the past couple of years. Before becoming a dental assistant, Steve was an assistant manager across several Dominos Pizza restaurants, with a short gig at Starbucks! With vast customer experience, Steve enjoys that he is able to ease the concerns of patients who face dental anxiety-- whether that be by answering their questions or engaging in conversation. When out of scrubs, you can find Steven hiking on the palisades or playing video games like Magic the Gathering while quarantining. He has an awesome turtle named Kaiju! He is a handful, literally and metaphorically.
Born, and raised in NYC, Eric is a natural when it comes to interacting with people. As a new patient coordinator, Eric is a prime time example of what it means to leave a good first impression. His values in this office are to help people and have new patients leave with a healthier smile. Eric's wacky, and crazy personality, will make you forget that you're even in a dental office as soon as you come in for the first time. His goal at the end of the day is to turn patients into friends, and have them anticipate their next visit to Washington Dental Associates!
Caroline is one of our talented dental assistants. We appreciate that she goes over and beyond being an assistant for not one, but both office locations of ours! Caroline knows how to make a patient feel safe and at ease in the chair. Whenever our team members or patients are in need of assistance, Caroline is always right there to lend a helping hand. In her free time, she likes to spend it with her friends and family.
With having a rewarding career in the hair industry for over 20 years, its always been her passion to make people feel good about themselves. A few years ago after watching her dad become ill with cancer, it shifted her focus in life and wanted to begin helping people in the medical field. She was given the opportunity at Washington dental and thoroughly enjoys coming to work every day knowing she can make a difference in someones life. In her free time, she enjoys her husband and kids who are her life. Also outside of work, she enjoys helping her husband run their own travel baseball team, the New Jersey Bandits. She is also very involved with youth sports in town. Her and her family are big Yankees fans and love going to all professional sporting events.
Enisa became a hygienist because she has always enjoyed helping people and giving others a boost of confidence, and a smile is one of the first things you notice. Being a dental hygienist not only helps patients with their oral and general health, but also boosts their confidence with a beautiful, shiny, clean smile. At Smile More and Washington Dental Associate, both teams are extremely eager to not only welcome patients but new coworkers as well. Everyone was very welcoming, helpful, and supportive. When I'm not working, she enjoys hanging out with her wonderful family! She has a family full of foodies, always having big family lunch and dinners together!

First time at this office I felt right at home had a very warm welcome and received a great cleaning from gabby and a thorough exam from Dr. Terry. I've been going to other dentists for years and this is the first time hearing I can benefit from Invisalign. Highly recommend!

I have had bad experiences with dentists in the past. Finding a dentist is hard and finding the RIGHT DENTIST is even more of a challenge. This practice was able to get me in quickly. Washington Dental Associates is AMAZING!!! I am so please with how professional and welcoming everyone is at this practice. They make you feel right at home. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and are very personable. They make sure they educate you on what is going on. Dr. Gibney listened to my concerns and was very patient with me. Thank you SO MUCH!

Had to change my review because after going here for sometime, I am extremely disappointed and was scammed. I wanted to get Invisalign and signed up for it because there was a deal for it. At the time, it was a little expensive for me and they only gave you a bigger discount if you paid as much as you could upfront. They told me that if I needed to think it over, I wouldn't get the discount because it would be over soon. (It never ended and there are always "deals" for Invisalign to this day) Because I wanted to take advantage, I was coaxed into setting up a payment plan and every time I came in, they said that everything looked fine and I should end it there although I wasn't happy with how "straight" my teeth looked. I asked to keep going and nothing was changing. Next thing I knew, I asked to come in to redo my aligners and they told me to come into the office without even telling me my Invisalign HAD EXPIRED. They were ready to just charge me another $7000 with NO warning or calls from the office at all that my plan was expired. I could've saved a trip. I also never received warning prior that it was expiring and not even at the initial consult was I told that I had a time limit to when I could stop receiving my aligners for the $7000 I paid that did absolutely nothing to straighten my teeth. I told them I needed to speak with Dr. Lacap about this and the times I've asked, I've always been told that I would get a call back and I never did for months. All I received were constant reminders to get a cleaning. Nobody ever addressed the Invisalign to me, they just ignored it. Do not go here to get major dental changes done, it's a complete waste of money and time. People also are encouraged to leave positive reviews in exchange for benefits at the office so I'm not surprised there are a lot of good reviews. Stay far away, the only thing this place wants, is your money.

Less than one star. Worst expensive ever. I've been in pain since yesterday in my lower right side. Felt super judged by whoever the female dentist was. I have bad teeth due to genetics and she made me feel super uncomfortable. She said I needed an extraction, which okay, I expected. But I said I would need to do it next week as I wasn't financially prepared. So she said she would give me a painkiller til then. Go to the front to schedule where I'm told that in order to get the script I have to pay for half the extraction appointment today. They are not willing to work with people and don't care about leaving their patients in pain. They only care about the money. Stay far away.

Thank you Dr. Munoz and his pleasant assistant. I had severe tooth pain and walked into this office. The financial person was also helpful. The one downside is that if you need a medical note for your employer the letter indicates to much. It should be simple and to the point and when I asked for a modification. I was informed that the letter is the letter.

After an awesome dental cleaning experience with Amy, I went back to have a procedure done with Dr. Reff - oral surgeon. He was EXCEPTIONALLY PHENOMENAL!!! He went out of his way to make me comfortable and graciously wore the n95 I offered him for our safety. By far, he is the BEST Oral surgeon I have ever met. He is definitely a GREAT ASSET to this practice. I highly recommend him!

I love Washington Dental in Bergenfield. The office is very friendly and inviting. Previous dentists would make me feel bad about myself and lecture me on what I ate during my visits. But the staff at Washington Dental knows exactly how to say things in a nice and helpful way. I'm very comfortable in the office and enjoy my visits. Also Nicole at reception, as well as the other ladies, are very sweet and always find room in the schedule to slot me in!

I must say I am thoroughly impressed with the work done at Washington Dental Associates. So far I have got x-rays, cleanings, deep cleanings and extractions completed. I must compliment the excellent work and professionalism of Dr. Elaine Hyeun and Dr. Munoz and the rest of the staff. I highly and strongly recommend you tell your family and friends about this place. Worth going to. Great staff and are very hospitable towards all yours needs!

I had a great experience with Dr, Terry today who has been so helpful to me she explained things in details so I can understand clearly about my options and a big thank you to my hygienist Enisa who was wonderful I barely felt anything while she was cleaning my teeth she was absolutely amazing and a big thank you to the entire staff who are all friendly and helpful!
