Dr. Remington grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah where he was a teaching assistant in biochemistry and human anatomy. He received a B.S. degree in Medical Biology.
He became a member of the Army 19th Special Forces (Airborne) group as a teenager and eventually retired from the Army National Guard in the same unit as Lieutenant Colonel. He transferred from the Army to the Navy Dental Corps for a period of ten years starting with dental school. He graduated from Dental School at the University of Nebraska. After dental graduation he completed a General Practice Residency with the Navy Dental Corps and then served two years as the dental officer aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Coral Sea (CV-43). He finished his Navy career as a dental officer at the Bremerton, WA Navy Ship Yard. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
For a period of 18 years he participated in annual International military humanitarian missions to third world communities in countries such as Thailand, Korea, Guam, Saipan, Vanuatu, Panama, and Cambodia.
After leaving the Navy, he attended the prestigious University of Washington Orthodontic Program where he received a specialty certificate in orthodontics. His original research was published in the AJODO Ortho Journal and he was also awarded a Master of Science degree (M.S.D.) at the University of Washington.
Dr. Remington maintained an orthodontic practice for many years in Sandy, Utah prior to moving his practice to Tooele, Utah. Dr. Remington and his wife Shirlene, have eight children and fourteen grandchildren. His favorite retreats are spending time with family, traveling, gardening, skiing, tennis, horses, dogs and he loves dentistry. Dr. Remington was a scout master for twenty years and is an Eagle Scout.

First off, the front office ladies and hygienist are AWESOME! But this is the only thing good about this place. The Orthodontist Remington, is absolutely hands down the worst!! Extremely unprofessional!!!! Argues with his own staff in front of the entire building along with the patients!!!!He is a joke of an orthodontist, and has no business claiming to be one!! Please by all means, he is not worth the effort. Closes the office with zero warning to patients. Zero results unless you demand answers. worst money I have ever thrown away!!! Like others, should not get a single star!!!!

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARTS IF I COULD! DO NOT EVEN HAVE THE THOUGHT OF GOING HERE!!!! Horrible place. I am on the spectrum and have bad anxiety. They didn't care and put me through a lot of pain. Half the time they wouldn't even tell me what they were going to do or they do something they never mentioned or said they wouldn't! There was a point when I was screaming in pain and begging to be left alone and he just said "you aren't in pain calm down" YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M FEELING! I WAS IN A LOT OF PAIN!!!!!! Thanks to this place I have panic attacks going to a kid's dentist.

Dr. Remington is one of the most upstanding dentists out there. I went to him in distress after being treated with zero respect from my previous local dentist in an emergency situation concerning my 10 year old daughter. Not only did his staff get me an appointment quickly but most importantly he listened to my needs and was able to extract my daughter's tooth that day. I will be returning to him for all our families future dental and orthodontic needs. And might I say also that my daughter whom has high anxiety about dentist and has complete meltdowns every visit is actually excited to return there. Thank you Dr. Remington and staff. You are a true hero!

How frustrating. I really want to see a laser dentist but can't even get any answers from the receptionist. She says " I don't know" " I think we can take a kid" or "I can't give a price" I didn't know I needed a ballpark answer for a cleaning. Seems like a messy business that'll run into billing issues

Horrible experience, Dr. Remington needs to retire. I had an appointment at 9:30 AM I showed up at 9:15 AM wasn't brought to the back until 10:00 AM. I hate how drs feel as though their patients time isn't valuable. Once I was brought back I sat in the chair and the hygienist got my numb well then I wait again. When Dr. Remington finally comes in now the suction on the machine doesn't work. So I'm asked to move to another chair/room. Now the weird thing happens the Doctor is now yelling at the hygienists arguing about materials. Back and forth mind you this is going on for several minutes. I couldn't take this anymore so I got up and left. I have never been to a dental office that is SO unprofessional, SO rude. I feel so bad for the hygienists and the receptionists. Stay away from this office.

They were able to get me in right away for what I was told was a "Free" consultation then billed my insurance $264 without my knowledge.. I would consider this theft by deception.
