Dr. Irays Santamaria is one of the premier dentists in Boston. Shes received Boston Magazines Best of Boston award and was also recognized as a Boston Magazine 2017 Top Dentist in her field of Prosthodontics. Dr. Santamaria earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) and her certificate in the specialty of Prosthodontics, with honors, from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she was also a faculty member. In pursuing her passion for dentistry, Dr. Santamaria has received the Dr. Hitoshi Ito Excellence Award from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine as well as awards from the American College of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Santamarias practice is focused on cosmetic dentistry. She attends courses in esthetic and restorative dentistry with a focus on veneers, crowns, and implants.She has received certification in Invisalign orthodontics. Dr. Santamaria is also certified in Conscious Oral Sedation. This allows her patients to receive complete dentistry in a deep, relaxed state in just one or two visits. Dr. Santamarias patients enjoy a comfortable, pleasant experience with a reduced level of anxiety. Together with her excellent staff, Dr. Santamaria enjoys making beautiful, healthy smiles for her wonderful patients.
Dr. Santamaria is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Association of Endodontics, the Massachusetts Dental Society, Metropolitan Dental District, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Walid J. Dehni is a specialist in the Esthetic restoration and replacement of teeth, he has expertise in restoring optimum appearance and function to his patients smiles. In private practice for over 20 years, Dr. Dehni has advanced training in esthetic procedures, dental implants, Teeth in a Day, oral plastic and reconstructive surgery, TMD problems, traumatic injuries to the mouth, congenital anomalies, sleep apnea treatment and oral cancer reconstruction. He is considered a master of complete oral rehabilitation. Dr. Dehni is a certified provider of The CEREC 3D, a system for the fabrication of all-ceramic dental restorations in just one office visit. He is also certified in Botox and injectable fillers.
Dr. Dehni is also one of few doctors trained and certified in both Oral Conscious Sedation and IV sedation, techniques that allow his patients to receive all of their dental care in just one or two visits while in a state of deep relaxation. Both he and his excellent team are committed to providing his patients a safe and comfortable sedation dentistry experience in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
Dr. Dehni obtained his Bachelor of Arts in 1988 from Boston University, where he was a Merit Scholar, and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1994 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He holds a specialty degree in prosthodontics and implant dentistry from the University of Texas and VA Medical Center Houston. Dr Dehni is the president of the Sedation Dentistry Network and has taught at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Karacosta is an assistant clinical professor and has been a member of the faculty at Tufts University in the Department of Diagnosis and Health Promotion since 2000. She received her first dental degree, her DDS, from the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Athens, Greece. Then Dr. Karacosta was accepted at Tufts University, where she completed an aesthetic dentistry fellowship program. Upon graduation, she started teaching in the undergraduate clinic as a practice coordinator.
In 2007, Dr. Karacosta received her second dental degree, her Doctorate of Dental Medicine, from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. The same year, she completed an implant dentistry fellowship in the Implant Center at Tufts University. Dr. Karacosta has also practiced in a dental private practice in Athens, Greece.

Everyone couldn't have been nicer and totally understood how to handle a person with a dental phobia and a gag reflex. My only complaint was that I was there for 2 1/2 hours and arrived home too exhausted to do anything. I need to edit this review. After this appt I saw the oral surgeon there who I cannot recommend. I only had a consultation with him, but he was arrogant and not very pleasant. He gave me an estimate that turned out to be almost twice what another oral surgeon gave me. They insist you pay before the work, so estimate is not the correct word. I had to sign a multitude of waivers but was not given the opportunity to read any of them. Pages were all turned back. Needless to say, on second thought I got a second opinion, canceled my appt there and will see another oral surgeon. It's too bad, I liked the first dentist but I'll have to look for a new dentist. As just a further follow up, I had my tooth pulled by an oral surgeon in chestnut hill. The price was $100 less than the estimate which was less than half of what they told me. I was given only IV sedation and not an accompanying oral sedative, so while I was a little loopy I was not in the dire straits they told me I would be in after sedation. I was fully capable of paying my bill which they told me I would not be. I am very surprised they got best of Boston!

I've gone to Warshauer and Santamaria for years. I always have a great experience, they use state-of-the-art dental technology for thorough but gentle cleanings, x-rays and high-res photos of tooth surfaces, and fillings. The location is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained.

A positive experience start to finish: from the efficient front desk covid check-in to the on- time, well executed work of the hygienist and check up with Dr . Santamaria. The billing administrator took the extra time to resolve an insurance issue too.

As always a professional experience in all aspects of care. A pleasing environment: From front desk to thorough, informative, and sensitive hygienist to follow up with Dr Santamaria. who never fails to greets me with her expertise and welcoming personality. I have felt feel confident with this practice over many years.
