Our highly trained and qualified orthodontist, Dr. Warren, believes that everyone deserves to smile proudly and have access to gentle, friendly orthodontic care. At Warren Orthodontics, we focus our treatment around each individual patient. Our family-friendly practice is driven to provide every patient with an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Not only are we devoted to helping you achieve a healthy and aligned smile, but at Warren Orthodontics, we are also devoted to delivering exceptional quality care to you and your loved ones.

Our office is located 7 minutes east of I-15. When you walk into our office, you can expect to be greeted by our friendly staff and welcomed to an environment that is centered around quality orthodontic care. A native of Springville, Dr. Warren is excited to bring excellent orthodontic care to the patients of Utah!

The team at Warren Orthodontics is up to date on the latest advancements in orthodontics so that we can provide options beyond just traditional metal braces. Whether you choose removable aligners such as Invisalign or traditional braces, your treatment will be custom-tailored just for you. Using our special iTero scanner, we can even show you what your smile will look like when your treatment with braces is complete!

  • Gold braces. Why not go for the gold? Our gold braces are just as durable and offer the same level of treatment as our stainless steel silver braces. They can be glammed up further with colored bands for a look that is all your own.
  • Ceramic (clear) braces. For a nearly invisible look, ceramic braces are a popular choice. Ceramic braces are made of clear monocrystalline/ceramic materials, and because they are a bit more fragile compared to metal braces and require extra care, we tend to recommend them for our adult patients. When the orthodontic correction needed is a bit more than clear aligners can handle alone, ceramic braces are often the perfect low-profile solution for our patients.
  • Clear, removable aligners. Invisalign and Invisalign Teen are wildly popular, comfortable, and very effective choices for straightening and aligning teeth without the look of metal braces. We use advanced computer imaging to create a series of custom aligners that will adjust your smile gently in a series of small steps. Clear aligners are virtually invisible, and you can remove them to brush, floss, eat, and drink. Dr. Warren is a top provider in our area for this treatment option.
  • For tips and tricks about tending to minor issues and keeping up with regular maintenance, youve come to the right spot! This page includes some of the things you can do to keep things on track so that you can shorten your time in braces and stay as comfortable as possible while keeping your mouth healthy and clean.

Dr. Warren and the team will show you how to take care of your appliances when you receive them, but the general approach is pretty simple: consistently wear your headgear, rubber bands, retainer, and other appliances, and be sure to avoid any food that seems like it might stick to or damage your braces or appliances. We have included a handy list below to help guide you.

You can eat almost anything when you have bracesas long as you do not eat the foods that can cause you to lose a bracket or break a wire. Heres a guide that can help you avoid emergencies caused by food. Its a great idea to print this list out and put it up on the fridge.

*Did someone say ice cream? Warren Orthodontics has free ice cream. We actually have a whole ice cream parlor! We also have cold drinks, snacks, prizes, and movies! Dont let anyone tell you that life with braces isnt a total blast!

For the first few days after getting braces or when switching aligners, there can be some soreness and tenderness until your mouth adjusts. Saltwater rinses really do help with mouth discomfort. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water and swish and gargle with it for a couple of minutes. Be careful not to swallow the saltwater solution. An over-the-counter pain relief medication, such as Tylenol or Advil, can also help. We will provide a special type of wax that can be applied to the surface of your braces if you experience irritation in your mouth from a wire or bracket.

If you notice loose teeth during your treatment, dont panic. This is normal and is a good sign that everything is moving as it should. Any loose teeth will tighten back up once your treatment is complete.

If a wire or band should become loose or break, please call our office so that we can work with you to fix the problem. You can also use wax on loose brackets to prevent them from irritating the inside of your mouth, or you can remove the loose bracket and bring it to our office for reattachment. Removing loose brackets is fairly simpleeach bracket has a small door that holds it to the wire. Open this door, and the bracket will easily come off. If you have pain or irritation due to a broken wire, you can place some of the special wax or a cotton ball soaked in water over the part of the braces or appliance that is causing the irritation. Make sure to bring any pieces of your appliance that may have broken or fallen off along with you when you come in to see us so that we can make repairs.

Mouth guards are a must on the playing field, whether you have braces or not. This simple device will help protect against damage to both your mouth and your appliances. If you have a sports accident, check your mouth and appliance for signs of damage, and then contact Dr. Warren as soon as possible if you think something doesnt seem right. If you have any irritation from a poking wire or damaged appliance, use some wax on the damaged part or wire until you are able to come to see us. For more serious accidents to the head and mouth area, seek care at the nearest emergency room right away.

Having braces means there are more places for food particles to get stuck. So, you need to keep up that brushing and flossing routine. Its also very important to keep seeing your dentist for regular cleanings. Consider getting an electric toothbrush, and brush and floss after every meal, too. By practicing excellent oral hygiene habits during your orthodontic treatment, your treatment will be more efficient, which means that you can enjoy your new, straight smile that much sooner.

At Warren Orthodontics, no matter what type of orthodontic treatment you need, from Invisalign or traditional braces to more complex orthodontic treatments such as surgical orthodontics and dentofacial orthodontics, we aim to keep care affordable for families.

Everyone is different, and we will know when your best time for braces is when we meet you and look at your teeth. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends you see an orthodontist by age 7 to find out if and when you might need braces. Sometimes, even if you still dont have all of your adult teeth, your orthodontist may decide to get an early start with braces for you, or they may decide to watch your growth for a while before getting started. If you get started early with braces, youre pretty lucky! You might even get to be the first one in your class with braces. By the time you are 11 or 12, a lot of your friends will already have braces. The reason kids have braces is that its a bit easier to correct issues with the teeth while people are still growing instead of waiting until theyre all grown up.

Yes, yes, YES! Braces or orthodontic appliances will not keep you from participating in your favorite activities, including sports and playing an instrument. Remember that if you play a contact sport, you should wear a mouth guard to protect your teeth, whether you have braces or not.

No. The reason for this is that your permanent teeth are bigger than your baby teeth, and the space available in your mouth for these new, larger teeth is limited. So, if your teeth are growing in crooked, they will usually become more crowded and crooked as they continue to grow in. We can straighten your teeth with braces, and when your braces come off, your smile is going to look great.

Your mouth can feel a little tender when you first get your braces or after you have them adjusted at our office, but this doesnt last very long. After a while, most kids forget they even have braces! If you have any soreness, go ahead and ask your parents for Advil or Tylenol or ask them to help you swish with some warm salt water. Believe it or not, gargling with salt water actually does help.

Brushing and flossing with braces is almost exactly like brushing and flossing without braces. The only important difference is that when you have braces, it is even more important to make sure you keep your mouth super clean. Our team will show you the best way to take care of your teeth and gums once your braces are on, and we will give you toothbrushes, flossing aids, toothpaste, and mouth rinses, too. We recommend brushing at least 3 to 4 times a dayonce after each meal and again before going to bed. A daily floss to get into those places between your braces where your toothbrush cant reach will make your mouth extra happy, so we recommend that as well.

The Warren Orthodontics team is available to answer any questions you may have regarding your or your childs orthodontic treatment, so please feel free to contact us at your convenience. In the meantime, we love to keep our extended orthodontics family in the know, so heres a set of FAQ just for adults!

Absolutely! Braces or appliances will not keep your child from joining in their favorite activities, including sports or playing an instrument. If your child plays a contact sport, we highly recommend they wear a mouth guard during play, whether they have braces or not.

Phase one treatment is a fancy name for early orthodontic treatment for children that typically begins between the ages of 7 and 10 and can last from 12 to 21 months. It is called phase one simply because this treatment is often followed by a second phase of orthodontic treatment that begins when the child is a bit older (phase 2 treatment). These 2 phases combined are referred to as two-phase orthodontic treatment. Phase one starts when we find orthodontic problems during a childs first orthodontic screening around age 7. We start this treatment early to correct and prevent more severe orthodontic problems for the child in the future. After phase one and a period of rest where there is no treatment, an additional orthodontic treatment (phase 2) may be recommended for your child. Our team will keep you completely informed as we monitor your childs orthodontic condition during screenings so that you know what to expect and when.

We do! Adults may choose from traditional braces, highly effective Invisalign clear aligners, and even virtually invisible ceramic braces. No matter which solution you choose, your care will be completely personalized to you. Our advanced orthodontic treatment planning techniques, combined with years of experience, ensure that you will enjoy an orthodontic experience that exceeds your expectations and provides results that will keep you smiling proudly for years to come. We have also designed our space for maximum comfort and delight for patients of all ages. After your exam, why not take a seat in our massage chair for some much-deserved you time?

Orthodontic treatment does not tend to cause much, if any, discomfort. If you do feel some minor soreness while adjusting to new braces, it will only last a day or 2, and over-the-counter medications such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen will offer relief.

Maintaining excellent oral hygiene while in orthodontic treatment helps keep your treatment on track. It is important that you keep up your outstanding brushing habits3 times per day is recommended. Please keep up with your flossing too, even though it may seem a little awkward at first to floss around those braces. (Dont worry; well show you how!) Once your treatment begins at our practice, you will be provided with toothbrushes, flossing aids, toothpaste, and mouth rinses to help you achieve that beautiful, healthy smile.

The Invisalign system is a comfortable and nearly invisible alternative to traditional braces that is proven to correct multiple orthodontic issues. One of the many reasons Invisalign is so popular is that patients are in control of the success of their treatmentInvisalign aligners can be taken out to eat, drink, and maintain oral careand the more patients wear their aligners, the faster they get their results.

Once it has been determined that Invisalign is the best option for you and your treatment plan has been created, we will go over the costs, including insurance and options for payment. Its important to the Warren Orthodontics team to keep orthodontic treatment affordable for all families, so we will customize a financial plan that works for your family. Insurance claims will be submitted on your behalf by our office, and although insurance benefits differ significantly from policy to policy, if a patient has orthodontic coverage, Invisalign should be covered to the same extent as conventional braces.

A palatal expansion at Warren Orthodontics is a device that allows us to treat your child's improper bite or narrow dental arch. This device is specially designed to create more space in a child's mouth by gradually widening the upper jaw. While this may sound scary, it is a very easy and common procedure that will positively impact your child's bite and overall oral health.

To better explain what palatal expansion is, it is important to understand that the palate is just another name for the roof of the mouth. This structure separates the cavities of the nose and the mouth and is also a part of the upper jaw which is also called the maxilla and consists of both the palate and the entire upper arch of teeth.

The palatal expander is a common orthodontic appliance that is cemented in the roof of the mouth and gently applies pressure to stimulate bone growth at the midline suture, guiding the growth of the jaw. Dr. Warren will give you and your child clear and detailed instructions on how to safely adjust the palatal expander during treatment, and we will make sure that you have all the ongoing guidance you need.

In general, the process is gentle and does not cause discomfort, although there can be some minimal soreness at times. It is normal to develop a small gap between the 2 front teeth as the palate expands during treatment, but this gap almost always closes on its own. If it does not, braces may be used to correct the spacing of the teeth once the palatal expander treatment is complete. The process of palatal expansion typically lasts about 2 to 3 weeks, but we often keep the appliance in place for several more weeks to make sure the new expansion does not relapse.

Seriously BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I'm so impressed with costumer service and the effort they put into making their office welcoming and happy! They truly know what they are doing, I went to another orthodontist a week ago and they did not listen to me and did a sloppy glue job, but they were able to fix it all! They also have a party going on all the time!

Everyone is very friendly. Nice clean atmosphere. Straight forward communication about payment plan. Fun prizes and incentives for the kids. You will feel a part of the process, they will work with you on payment options and multi-sibling discounts. There are always fun contests and events going on throughout the year. And did I mention yummy creamery Ice-cream on each visit? :) Review from my son Sam: Warren Orthodontics is an amazing place, I'm so happy to be a patient there.
