After completing his undergraduate degree in biology from West Virginia University, Dr. Semder transitioned to the WVU School of Dentistry in order to achieve his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He is also certified in both Invisalign and dental implant placement and has attended training in bone grafting and sinus elevation. He is currently a proud member of the American Dental Association and the West Virginia Dental Association.
For Dr. Semder, the best part of his job by far is having the skillset and general ability to help others. Whether youre relieving someones lingering dental pain or just helping them regain a strong sense of self-esteem by giving them back a whole, healthy smile, the experience is always rewarding!
Dr. Semder and has been married to his wife Beth for well over a decade now, and they have two children together named Addyson and Noah. The vast majority of his time outside of the dental office is spent with his family. As so many parents know, his childrens various activities and sports keep them very busy, but seeing them participate and have fun is always awesome! As for personal hobbies, he likes playing golf, tennis, and some basketball, as well as watching almost all sports hes an avid WVU football fan in particular. When the football season is over and basketball begins, their household switches to rooting for the Kentucky Wildcats instead.
Dr. Warnick chose to join the dental profession because she loves the overall idea of helping others maintain healthy bodies throughout life. The mouth is the gateway to a persons body, and excellent wellbeing starts there! All these years later, shes never regretted her decision for even a moment.
After growing up near Elkins, Dr. Warnick completed both her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology and her Doctor in Dental Surgery at West Virginia University. In fact, she met her husband (Dr. Steven Spike Warnick) there! She also completed a General Practice Residency that focused on trauma and oral surgery. Today, she regularly pursues many hours of continuing dental education on a yearly basis in order to stay up to date with new developments in the field and provide her patients with the best care available. She is extensively trained in Invisalign, BOTOX, and Dermal Fillers. She is currently a member of the following dental organizations:

Had moved away and moved back. Did not worry about who I would go to for a dentist. Always professional staff and providers. Then to top it off they are pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. No where else I would go.

I have never been a big fan of going to the dentist. Most people are in the same boat. This place may change your mind. I liked my old dentist, who was close to my former workplace, but with my retirement I thought it would be nice to have someplace closer to home. Asking around, talking with former coworkers, and reading the reviews convinced me to try Warnick and Semder. My first appointment I was impressed with the "farmhouse charm" of the Winfield office. The receptionist was friendly. She pointed me to a waiting room that more closely resembles a comfortable living room. The hygienist was right on time both visits and took me to a treatment room with a big window which had a very relaxing vibe. The equipment was top notch and made the cleaning very comfortable. After each appointment the dentist came in and examined my teeth, visited with me, and shared their opinions. I have met two different dentists and they were both knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions. I never felt hurried or like they were just checking the box. If you are wondering if these guys should be your next dentist, give them a try. You will be glad you did.

I broke a tooth on a Sunday, and they got me in first thing Monday morning even though they were busy. Melissa is so sweet and treats you like an old friend. The office staff are so nice. I can't recommend them enough.

This dental practice is top-notch and I highly recommend them. They have always given our family excellent care. Their wait time is very low. Their office staff and dental hygienists are friendly, efficient and professional. The dentists are excellent at explanations of needed care and give great guidance on choices for procedures. They have provided relief of an abscessed tooth for myself and repair for a sharp braces wire for my grandson in just the last week with one day's notice . I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I had a cavity starting to show on the surface of one of my front upper teeth. The dentist fixed and filled it. I looks great and took care of some the sensitivity with that tooth.

I'm afraid if I tell the honest truth about my experience at Warnick and Semder, the place may be overwhelmed with new patients and I won't be able to get another appointment. But integrity demands I tell it like it was. First, the office itself should be a model for offices everywhere. Bright and beautiful, warm and inviting. And the Receptionist was all that, too! No waiting, and April, the technician was warm and friendly, while being very professional. Having not been to a dentist for 5 years, I expected lots of pain and blood. But with her gentleness and the most up to date equipment, the cleaning was not quite, but almost a pleasure! And Dr. Warnick engendered confidence in his knowledge, skills and abilities as he completed the examination and discussed his findings and recommendations. As an octogenarian, I've been in a lot of dentist's offices and seen lots of staffs, but not one I would put in the "Exceptional in Every Way" category. This is the one! Look no further.

From someone who is absolutely terrified of the dentist - do yourself a favor and make an appointment. Very relaxed and warming environment. Gave different options and a honest opinion which I appreciate greatly! Everyone I encountered from the front office to the dentist himself was pleasant and friendly! Don't get me wrong the dentist is fabulous the receptionist not so much they can't get appts together my husband and I both had appts and they changed them with no knowledge and then they set an appt up for a bridge but they aren't taking my insurance anymore so that's not going to happen. I love the dentist he's kind and truly helps with dental anxiety I hate to switch but I have to, and those receptionist need to find a new job not working with public not all are bad but the majority just ne careful having any major work done they can change what their doing when they want. Good luck is all I can say
