After completing his undergraduate degree in biology from West Virginia University, Dr. Semder transitioned to the WVU School of Dentistry in order to achieve his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He is also certified in both Invisalign and dental implant placement and has attended training in bone grafting and sinus elevation. He is currently a proud member of the American Dental Association and the West Virginia Dental Association.
For Dr. Semder, the best part of his job by far is having the skillset and general ability to help others. Whether youre relieving someones lingering dental pain or just helping them regain a strong sense of self-esteem by giving them back a whole, healthy smile, the experience is always rewarding!
Dr. Semder and has been married to his wife Beth for well over a decade now, and they have two children together named Addyson and Noah. The vast majority of his time outside of the dental office is spent with his family. As so many parents know, his childrens various activities and sports keep them very busy, but seeing them participate and have fun is always awesome! As for personal hobbies, he likes playing golf, tennis, and some basketball, as well as watching almost all sports hes an avid WVU football fan in particular. When the football season is over and basketball begins, their household switches to rooting for the Kentucky Wildcats instead.
Dr. Warnick chose to join the dental profession because she loves the overall idea of helping others maintain healthy bodies throughout life. The mouth is the gateway to a persons body, and excellent wellbeing starts there! All these years later, shes never regretted her decision for even a moment.
After growing up near Elkins, Dr. Warnick completed both her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology and her Doctor in Dental Surgery at West Virginia University. In fact, she met her husband (Dr. Steven Spike Warnick) there! She also completed a General Practice Residency that focused on trauma and oral surgery. Today, she regularly pursues many hours of continuing dental education on a yearly basis in order to stay up to date with new developments in the field and provide her patients with the best care available. She is extensively trained in Invisalign, BOTOX, and Dermal Fillers. She is currently a member of the following dental organizations:

Extremely professional and courteous group of folks operating this dentistry office. I was taken in very quickly as a new patient, and Dr. Warnick was so very kind and respectful. He not only fixed my immediate issue, but he took the time to explain potential problems I might need to have corrected down the road. His staff seem generally happy and just as professional, which I believe is a reflection of his leadership. I took a chance calling his office, and I feel so very blessed that I did. He is most likely the best dentist I have seen in my 45 years. I will be loyal to him not only because of his competence, but his level of professionalism is virtually unmatched! If you need a good dentist, good luck finding one. If you need an outstanding dental professional, this is your place!

Update: I went to my new dentist and the cleaning with x rays , exam and everything is $94! How can Warnick and semder charge $391 for exactly the same service that I just paid $94 for(same type of cleaning and all)? I feel absolutely robbed. And they won't stop mailing $35 no-show bills every month. I'm never going back and I'm not giving any more of my money after you robbed me. W&S Please stop calling me and leaving voicemails. I'm through with you and never coming back. Most expensive and worst dentist I've ever experienced. Incomplete cleaning($350), and painful pinching of my lip during drilling. Went here first to get my teeth cleaned but at home my floss continued to get caught on tartar. Went back to get cavities filled and one side is done smoothly but the other side is rough not smooth at all. Worst part was the dental assistant constantly pinched my lip with her tool while he was drilling. I had to contort my face and lips in a way to get her off my lip she was pinching so the dentist asked if he was hurting me NO BUT SHE IS and she didn't stop after I told her. So they auto called and I confirmed that I'm not making my next cleaning appointment which I thought would have confirmed that I'm not going. They mail me a $35 no-show bill. They want me to pay it before they will give me my x-rays to get my teeth cleaned somewhere else. Well I would rather pay full price for the x-rays at my new dentist than pay their $35 fee. Do not go here. I can't be the only one getting bad work done and it was my first visit. That's what I get for going to the nearest, most convenient dentist instead of the most reputable.

We are here now with a dead battery! My boyfriend left his lights on. The staff, including my dentist, came out to help or they stopped and asked if we needed help on their way out to eat lunch! Extremely professional and have helped me with several issues in the past. I refuse to go elsewhere! Highly recommended! 5 STARS+ easily!!

Highly respectful, professional, knowledgeable and so kind ~ this is how I'd describe all my appointments with Dr. Steve Warnick. I love my dental hygienist, Gina, at the St. Albans office as well. They've helped me with my long term plan for my tmj, and I've really had nothing but an efficient and thorough appointment each time.

Needing a dentist, don't hesitate. My first time there last Wednesday had a problem with 2 of my teeth. Apparently I broke one of my fillings and had a cavity under it & Dr. Mike Evans repaired it. I must say he numbed it and I didn't even feel the injection or repair. 40 Years of going to a dentist and for my first time if someone says "Dentist" I'm not to Cringe! Thanks Dr. Evans, I've found my new Dentist. Also, I would like to Say thank you to staff for making me feel at easy and helping me get scheduled for that appointment and set up for my cleaning next month. Highly recommend #BestDentistEver

Warnick & Semder Dentistry is very professional and straight forward. I have been going to them for 9 years and have never been treated disrespectful or disgraced. The hygienist is always courteous and thorough. You can't ask for a better dentistry team to take care of your teeth. After all, if you have good teeth, you have good health.

The actual dentists are skilled at what they do. Unfortunately that's all I have to say positive about this establishment. Unless you are insured, you will be treated poorly. I went in, uninsured, to have a broken molar repaired since I'd gone here when I was previously insured. The absolutely SNOBBY office girl very condescendingly told me how much it would cost ($400), I was not even OFFERED dental amalgam which my new, more respectable dentist advised me is not only cheaper but recommended for grinding teeth such as molars. 3 days after the repairs that almost left me totally broke, I had to return to have the exact same tooth pulled completely FOR AN ADDITIONAL $200. After I got new dental insurance through my new employer, I called to make sure they would accept my plan, and the lady was so incredibly rude to me I gave up and decided to take my business elsewhere. This place is an absolute disgrace . The staff (particularly the heavy set, younger blonde girl) are truly, truly awful (unless as I mentioned you're insured.)

This was our first time here and my daughters first time ever at a Denist office (she's a baby) but no lie I had to call over 12 different Denist offices in the Kanawha/Putnam county area for months trying to find her an office accepting new patients and/or w her insurance and finally after calling what felt like a million places Y'all answered and immediately took her and we were in w an appointment within 2 weeks(today) andLET ME TELL YOU!!!!! My husband and I were both so impressed with how smooth & quick everything went & how friendly and nice all the staff were !!!!! My family and I def recommend To any new time parents w baby children! Thank y'all so much!!!

First time I had been there in awhile. Staff was extremely friendly and Doctor Evan's was wonderful. He was thorough and honest with me about the options I had for my tooth. I'm uninsured and truly appreciated their kindness and ability to work with me. Usually Doctor's don't want to work with people who are uninsured. Thank you for all you did for me today and in the future. Thank you for all the precautions you're taking due to COVID-19.
