So much has changed at Ward Road Dental since Dr. Gillette took over in July of 2017. But first, what hasnt changed: the staff remains in place, all payment policies are unchanged, and the personalized, conscientious care continues.
Dr. Gillette brings an enhanced surgical skill set to Ward Road Dental. In addition to restoring implants, he places them. When teeth require extraction, Dr. Gillette can remove them with care. That includes many wisdom teeth. To maintain patient comfort during these procedures, Dr. Gillette offers IV sedation to his patients.
Dr. Gillette is very focused on the patient experience and comfort at Ward Road Dental. The entire office received a facelift and feels much more like a home setting than a clinic. A number of the dental chairs have a massage feature. We have heated water lines (no cold water rinses). Our drills are now electric: quieter and faster than before.
Ward Road Dental places an emphasis on keeping up with developing technology. Weve had digital x-rays for some time but have upgraded the sensors and software to Dexus for crisper, clearer images. We have also added Dexus Carivu to our digital suite which uses near infrared light to detect cavities with zero radiation. While not replacing the need for xrays, expectant mothers, children, and those averse to xrays can receive better screening than before.
We expanded our minimally invasive treatment options as well. We offer Icon to remove white spots on teeth without any drilling or removal of healthy tooth structure. Icon can also stop cavities from growing, often preventing the need for fillings.
Dr. Christopher Gillette has a true love of dentistry. He views it as the perfect blend of science, technical skill, and establishing relationships with patients. The balance of science and art appeals to his nature.
This board certified general dentist brought that love and a wealth of expertise to Ward Road Dental in 2017 when he purchased the practice from Dr. David Eaton. Prior to that, Dr. Gillette served six years in the U.S. Air Force as a dentist.
He offers preventive and minimally invasive care to families, as well as dental implants and sedation dentistry. His philosophy is to intervene only in the presence of disease, and to keep small problems from becoming larger, more expensive ones.
Dr. Gillette earned his bachelors degree in music from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri in 2007, graduating Summa Cum Laude with Honors. He earned his dental degree in 2011 from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Gillette joined the Air Force that same year in order to serve his country and the men and women who serve it as well. While in the military, he pursued more specialized dental training. He completed a two-year advanced education in general dentistry and received a masters degree in oral biology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 2015. He attained board certification with the American Board of General Dentistry a year later, something fewer than 1 percent of dentists achieve.
Dr. Gillette says he learned a great deal during his time in the military, but the Air Forces core values in particular made a marked impression on him: integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. Dr. Gillette took those values to heart and uses them in his approach to dentistry.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Crystal joined our dental staff in 2006. She received her degree in dental hygiene from the Community College of Denver and is continuing her education at Northern Arizona University. Additionally, Crystal has completed educational courses in laser dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association. She is responsible for patient care and education, preventive gum therapy, cavity screening, and professional dental cleanings. Crystal enjoys providing a positive dental care experience to all of our patients and connecting with them on a personal level.
Trena has over 30 years of experience in dentistry and has been with our practice since 1997. Trena is responsible for patient comfort, maintaining dental equipment, and assisting Dr. Gillette with patient care. She loves the relationships shes built over the years with our patients and watching the families of our patients grow.
Nathan handles patient communications, treatment plan explanations, and patient financing. He will work out every detail of your treatment so you know exactly what to expect. Nathan also maintains relationships with specialists in the area to coordinate patient referrals when necessary. Nathan enjoys traveling, especially to Ireland to visit his extended family.

Our hygienist, Crystal, has been with the practice for over 10 years and our office manager Nathan has been with us for 5. Our office has been in existence in Arvada since 1987, and we take pride in being a member of this community.
