Welcome to our office! Dr. Ward is passionate about orthodontics, and enjoys using his skills and training to help families in Fort Collins. He grew up in this town, and cares deeply for our community. He treats each patient like family, and utilizes only the most advanced technologies and orthodontic methods to create custom treatments. As a father, he wants only the best for his children, and he extends this level of care to each and every patient who comes to see him.
Before becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Ward graduated from Fort Collins High School as valedictorian of his class. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Ward attained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry, where he graduated first in his class and received highest distinctions in academics and patient care. He then completed three years of orthodontic training at The Ohio State University, where he received his Orthodontic Certificate and Master of Science degree.
During his formal education, Dr. Ward was honored with numerous distinctions and awards, including induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national Dental Honor Society. He also conducted research to help children with cleft lip and palate, which he presented at the International Association of Dental Research Annual Meeting.
Dr. Ward strives for perfection in every orthodontic treatment he provides. He has a true passion for his profession, and is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to make the orthodontic experience more efficient and comfortable for his patients. As a part of his continuing education, Dr. Ward takes numerous courses and seminars each year, and is an active member in the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, and Colorado Dental Association.
Dr. Ward was born and raised in Fort Collins, and he is happy to be serving his hometown community. At home, he has a beautiful wife, Stephanie, and three little girls, with whom he loves spending his spare time. He also enjoys spending time in the beautiful Colorado outdoors, hiking, camping, backpacking, running, mountain biking, snowboarding and rock climbing. He loves playing soccer, reading and watching movies with his family.
Dr. Ward feels lucky to live and work in such a close-knit community, and is always looking for opportunities to help others. He especially enjoys working with teenagers, and has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America and his church youth group forover seven years.
Orthodontics is a truly unique profession, and I consider myself lucky to be a part of it. I enjoy getting to know my patients personally throughout each visit, chatting about the wonderful changes in their lives. At the end of treatment, my patients often experience a dramatic increase in self-esteem in seeing their beautiful new smile! To improve someones health, appearance and confidence is incredibly rewarding for me.
Orthodontic services evolve every year, and I love finding the exact treatment that is right for a patients unique needs and goals. I want to exceed the expectations of all our patients, from children to adults. My staff and I strive to provide the most comfortable treatments that produce perfect smiles that last a lifetime. We love to see our patients smile and try to make each visit positive and rewarding.

My son is a patient with Ward Orthodontics for braces. He has had a great experience with them. Everyone at the office is very kind and friendly and Dr. Ward is very knowledgeable. He put together a custom service plan to meet my son's dental needs. Their pricing is very competitive as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Ward!

All the post-pandemic online meetings have led me to an obsession with my crooked front teeth. While I feel that no one wants to see me -- a 44 YO woman -- in braces, Dr. Ward suggested the awesome option of hidden lingual braces to fix my front crowding. He and Stacey in his office have been so compassionate with me in my search to improve my look! Dr. Ward and Stacey have sparkling personalities and make dental work fun! The front desk ladies are also delightful. Thank you for the awesome service!

My son has been under the care of Dr. Ward and his staff for just over a year now and has full braces. He and his personnel have always been great with everything they do. A few weeks ago my son was playing catch with a baseball with friends on a Friday night and was hit directly on the two front teeth. Despite the late hour, Dr. Ward had us meet him at his office. He spent a solid hour with my son ensuring everything was addressed thoroughly. The bottom line is that the braces saved the two front teeth. Dr. Ward was very professional and attentive and I cannot thank him enough for taking care of this emergency situation very late on a Friday night. I recommend anyone needing orthodontic care to give Dr. Ward a chance to show how great he and his staff are to all of their patients.

Today was the day my braces were removed!! Dr. Ward is amazing always explained everything he was doing. The staff is great and super friendly every time I went in for an appointment. Definitely would recommend! Ward staff you guys are amazing!

This is my second time having braces, but the first time using Ward Orthodontics. My experience with Ward Orthodontics was excellent, much better than my previous experience with braces! The staff are all attentive, skilled, explain what they're doing, will answer any questions you have, are gentle when working in your mouth, and are accommodating. When I had concerns, they would listen and do whatever they could to make my experience the best it could be. They fit me in last minute when I needed an adjustment because of an uncomfortable wire and always did what they could to make sure I was as comfortable as possible during the whole experience. I highly recommend Ward Ortho for anyone looking to get braces!
