Dr. Ward, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, received his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University. He then attended Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry graduating at the top of his class. Upon graduation, he was invited to attend graduate school at the world leading Department of Orthodontics at Case Western Reserve University.

He has published numerous articles in the leading orthodontic literature as well as lecturing both nationally and internationally. His passion for orthodontics led him to membership in the renowned Charles H. Tweed International Foundation, where he currently serves as the Assistant Course Director. Dr. Ward spends eight weeks teaching residents the art and science of orthodontics. In addition to his practice, Dr. Ward also serves as a clinical instructor in the Case Western Reserve Universitys orthodontic department and Seton Hill University.

Dr. Ward was one of the first Board Certified orthodontists on the west side of Cleveland and in 2005 he voluntarily sought recertification. As a nominee for Director of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Ward continues to practice at the highest level, delivering a quality of care that is unsurpassed.

In addition to the Charles Tweed Foundation, Dr. Ward is a member of numerous orthodontic and dental societies requiring yearly peer review of treated cases. For over twenty years Dr. Ward presented treated orthodontic cases at yearly meetings and received the highest marks awarded. Several of his patients have graced the cover of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. These covers are proudly displayed on the wall in our office.

Dr. Wards main area of focus is on diagnosis. Developing the correct treatment plan, based on each individuals needs, is a benchmark of his practice. No two people are alike, therefore each orthodontic treatment is unique to that individual. Long term esthetics, stability, and function are mainstays in his practice and have been since he began his practice.

Dr. Kevin Andrew Ward joined the practice in January of 2015. Our mission of providing the highest quality treatment in a caring, family oriented manner with attention to the individuals unique needs is his highest priority.

After graduating from St. Edward High School in 2004, Dr. Kevin earned his undergraduate degree from Miami University in 2008. Following college, he was accepted by the internationally recognized Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2012. Graduating in the top of his class allowed him to pursue his Certificate of Orthodontics and Master of Science degree at the University of Oklahoma, one our nations foremost clinical orthodontic programs. Dr. Kevin's thesis was awarded the 2014 Outstanding Master's Thesis Award for the entire University of Oklahoma Health Science Campus. This is the first time an orthodontic resident has earned this honor since the program began in 1981. After beginning practice in January of 2015, Dr. Kevin Ward was awarded the 2016 Outstanding New Dentist Award from Case Western Reserve University. This award is given to an alumnus whose accomplishments enhance the perception of the dental profession, has demonstrated outstanding service to his/her community, and is engaged with the activities of the School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Kevin and his family live in Avon where we opened our second office to further serve the needs of our patients and their families. Dr. Kevin has a passion for service and has participated in numerous dental mission trips to the Dominican Republic to serve the poor communities with their basic dental needs.

The profession of orthodontics within Ward Orthodontics prides itself in specialized treatment. We at Ward Orthodontics believe that each of our patients is unique and each patient that enters our office presents with a unique case for treatment. When one sees someone in braces, one might think Braces are braces are braces! This is NOT true. Each treatment provided by Dr. Ward is completely individualized for each of our patients. Just like no two people on this planet are alike, no two treatment plans are alike. This is how Dr. Wards practice differs from most orthodontists. Each procedure that this office performs is unique to you, from the initial diagnosis, to the final result; no treatment is ever pre-manufactured. Each step of the treatment process is hand crafted by him and designed to fit only you-the patient. A diagnosis is performed and this is done to study the patients particular facial, skeletal and dental characteristics. The diagnosis is a critical step in the process as a smile is meant to last a lifetime. This is what we at Ward Orthodontics believe and this is how we treat our patients.
