David Walton was raised in the Silicon Valley in Northern California. He grew up working for his fathers stained glass studio primarily beveling glass. Much of his recreational time was spent backpacking and camping in Yosemite and the Santa Cruz mountains as well as skiing in Lake Tahoe. He attended San Jose State University for his undergraduate work and completed a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hong Kong. During his time there he became fluent in Cantonese.
Dave and his wife, Melissa, met while they were both in High School. They wrote to each other while he was away in Hong Kong and were married shortly after his return. Melissa started her own tutoring business, which helped put him through school. They have five children: Ashlyn, Sadie, Nate, Anna and Audrey. Dave loves spending time with his family, and particularly enjoys sharing his interests in the outdoors, reptiles, science and astronomy with them. He also enjoys playing the guitar, drawing, woodworking and trail running.
He completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2005, graduating with High Honors and was inducted into the OKU National Dental Honor Society. He accepted a scholarship from the U.S. Army and went into active-duty service upon graduating. He was accepted into the three-year U.S. Army Advanced Education in Periodontics Residency program located at Fort Gordon and at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. During this time he was trained in advanced surgical techniques for all aspects of periodontics as well as the most advanced techniques in placing dental implants. While in residency, he earned a Masters of Science degree in Oral Biology from the Medical College of Georgia. He graduated from both in 2008. Shortly after graduating, he achieved board certification by completing a series of written and oral examinations to attain diplomate status with the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Walton spent six years on active-duty as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He was assigned to Fort Gordon, Georgia while in residency and then Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri as the Chief of Periodontics. The military served as a forum to deliver the highest possible periodontal and implant care to our fine troops. After completing his time in the Army, Dr. Walton and his family moved to Fort Collins in 2011. They love being part of the community and are happy to have made it their home.

Dr. Walton is the best! He is an extremely competent professional. I've had five implants put in with absolutely no problems at all...practically painless! I also appreciated his thoughtfulness and consideration as a person...an interested, respectful and kind individual. I highly recommend him for any dental needs!

I want explain my experience from the beginning... November 2021 I had my first bone graft surgery paid about 3 000$, after 3 months paid 325$ for 3 d image, doctor said not enough bone for implant.. I had another surgery in April 2022 paid even more than for first surgery....after 3 months i was need another 3 D image and ask to do me favor not charged 325$, they refused...even they know i already paid almost 6 000, plus I will need to pay another 3 000 for implant.... What i CAN SAY???? Just wasting money and no result...

I recently had a gum procedure and extraction done at Dr. Walton's office and couldn't be happier. I had put this off for a long time for fear of what it would entail. Dr. Walton explained everything and and he and his staff were very kind and caring. Both the extraction and the gum surgery went smoothly with very quick recovery times. I would highly recommend Dr. Walton to everyone. Don't put it off like I did. You'll be in good hands at his office.

The entire process was pleasant, from the beginning to the end. He promised a painless procedure (except for the injections) and definitely came through. I highly recommend this entire group.

Best place ever! Love Dr. Walton, love the staff. Very kind, and make something that could be awful, well enjoyable. Thank goodness they are here in Ft. Collins, but, if I had to drive hours to see them I would.

First of all let me apologize to Dr Walton and his staff for taking so long to write this review. Dr Walton and his staff are all very friendly and professional. I was nervous and scared when I made my first visit to his office, but that all disappeared after meeting Dr Walton and his staff. Through the whole process Dr Walton explained each procedure that needed to be done to get me to where I'am today. After the implant procedure was completed, I can smile with confidence and can eat foods that were off limits. Biting into an apple has never been so great. I'am very happy and satisfied with the work that Dr Walton and his staff did for me and I would highly recommend Dr Walton and his staff.

Dr. Walton and staff were impeccably professional, courteous, competent, warm and supportive. I came in with a failed implant and corresponding complications; Dr. Walton quickly and kindly resolved the complex problems and smoothly replaced the implant. His staff people are considerate and patient. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Appreciated the free consultation! Very pleasant experience from the staff and Dr. Walton. They always showed concern for my questions and spent the time to know me and my priorities. As I had questions, the staff, including Dr. Walton took the time necessary to make sure I was comfortable with the answers. I would highly recommend Dr. Walton. And so does my primary care dentist who was extremely complimentary of Dr. Walton's work. Great experience!
