Dr. Saxon has lived his whole life in Buckingham, except for the 8 years that he was in Richmond for school, concluding with his graduation from MCV School of Dentistry in 1982. He enjoys life in the country and its easy access to other parts of Virginia. He began his education at Buckingham Elementary School in the first grade. He graduated from BuckinghamCounty High School in 1974.

He graduated from the University of Richmond in 1978 with a BS in Biology. While at UR, he worked in the sports information office. He was at almost all home football, basketball and baseball games, helping record the stats or keeping the scorebook. He was also a Track and Field official and got to witness a world record in the high jump at UR in 1977. It should therefore not be a surprise that he is an avid Spider. He was present for URs first post season basketball victories (including over Auburn with Charles Barkley) and the 2008 National Football Championship.

In his spare time he enjoys gardening, outdoor activities, watching the Atlanta Braves and volunteering with Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center, Maysville Presbyterian Church, and Buckingham County Youth League (the highlight of this was probably winning the Virginia Majors Tournament in 2015 and the first game Virginia played in the World Series). He enjoys helping patients improve their health and quality of life. Dr. Saxons experience allows patients access to treatments that arent common, but beneficial. He looks forward to practicing dentistry and interacting with patients. He feels that humor and a positive outlook are needed (and sometimes a squirt of water) when doing dentistry.

Nancy is a 1997 graduate of West Virginia University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She has worked with Dr. Saxon since 1999 and has enjoyed working in rural central Virginia where she grew up. Nancy loves working with the patients here and has enjoyed getting to know the families over the years. Dental hygiene is her passion and she loves working with her patients to improve their oral health.

Shalonda is originally from Chicago, IL. She graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Psychology and Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Counselor Education and Dental Hygiene. Dentistry has always peaked her interest, which made the transition from Guidance Counselor to Dental Hygienist easy. She currently lives in Midlothian, Va with her husband and three children.

Angie works as a Dental Assistant and has been with our practice since 2010. She has lived in Buckingham a majority of her life. Angie is happily married and has two children. She enjoys sports, family time and following her kids with their activities.

Brooke has worked as a dental assistant for 4 years. She's been working with our practice since Spring 2019. Brooke has lived in Dillwyn all of her life. She enjoys spending time with her son and being outside.

Porscha was born and raised in Buckingham County. She has been with Dr. Saxon since October 2015. She is a proud mother of two young girls, Destiny and Eden. She is happily married to Michael. Porscha loves spending quality time with her family; going to the movies, playing in the park, and supporting her husband in the ministry. She is also cross trained as an assistant and enjoys helping at the chairside whenever she is needed.

Kristihas been with our practice since the Spring of 2019. She has a background in Insurance and Office Administration. Kristi grew up in the Roanoke, VA area. She met her husband in 2007 in Lynchburg where they resided until 2014 before relocating to Buckingham, VA. Kristi enjoys spending quality time with her husband, 6 grown sons and their 11 grandchildren. Her favorite past time is spending time on cruises to any tropical island.
