Dr. Ashley Walsh grew up in a small town in southern Rhode Island, where her immediate family still resides. After attending Florida State University for the beginning part of her undergraduate career, Dr. Walsh returned to her southern Rhode Island roots to complete her Bachelors of Science in Biology at the University of Rhode Island. Upon graduation she moved to Charlotte, NC where she worked as a business team member for a dental office for three years before starting dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Dentistry where she graduated with a DDS in 2015. After two years working in private practice in Charlotte, Dr. Walsh was recruited to a community health center in Wisconsin where she served as Associate Dental Director. In 2018 the opportunity to purchase a practice in Shawano presented itself and the Walsh Dental Group was formed. Dr. Walsh could not be happier serving the Shawano community and has thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our large group of patients. It has been a true pleasure for Dr. Walsh to expand services available and provide exceptional comprehensive care to the residents of Shawano. In her free time Dr. Walsh enjoys reading, exercising on her Peloton, and spending time with her dog, Baxter.
Dr. Scarlett Young grew up in Shawano, Wisconsin, where she graduated from Shawano High School in 2012. She then attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a Biology minor. Dr. Young received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Marquette University School of Dentistry, in May 2021. During her time at Marquette, she was very active in many organized groups such as the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), Psi Omega Fraternity, Student Professionalism and Ethics Association in Dentistry (SPEA),American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD),and the Dental Tolerance Program.
In her free time, Dr. Young enjoys spending time with her friends and family, golfing, cheering on Wisconsin sports teams, kayaking on the Wolf River, and traveling. Dr. Young is thrilled to return to the area to provide exceptional patient care.
