Dr. Jaffrey is a board certified pediatric dentist and diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Jaffrey received her training at the University of Damascus and the Oregon Health Sciences University. She also earned her Master of Science degree in Teaching Health Education from Portland State University.
In addition to her private dental practice, Dr. Jaffrey loves to give back to the San Francisco Bay Area community by volunteeringher work in helping underprivileged children was recognized by the California Dental Association in their publication, CDA Update .
Dr. Jaffrey is a member of the American and California Dental Associations, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Contra Costa Dental Society and was the Past President of Contra Costa Dental Society . She is also on Staff at John Muir Hospital and Childrens Hospital, Oakland, where she treats young and/or compromised patients. Additionally, she works with experienced pediatric anesthesiologists to sedate fearful patients who need complicated dental procedures in the office.
A longtime Walnut Creek resident, Dr. Jaffrey continues to explore all the Bay Area has to offer; some of her favorite places to frequent are the Lafayette Reservoir, local Farmers Markets, and, of course, downtown Walnut Creek. She also enjoys playing tennis, golfing, and traveling. Most of all, Dr. Jaffrey loves spending time with her family in this amazing community.
Dr. Ariel is a South Bay Area native. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology as well as Economics. She received her dental education at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and later, she went on to complete her residency training in Pediatric Dentistry and her Master of Science degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Tsao is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
During dental school, Dr. Ariel grew weary of chasing cavity after cavity in adults and decided to make it her goal to prevent childhood cavities. She prefers to spend time raising oral health awareness among patients and health care professionals by emphasizing preventive care methods. Additionally, she dedicated her Master's thesis to studying better toothpastes in hopes of preventing cavities in pediatric cancer patients and firmly believes that cavities should be the least of any child's worries.
Dr. Ariel is ecstatic to be your child's dentist and provide individualized dental care. When she isn't practicing dentistry, she can be found researching the never-ending stream of newly released children's movies.
Dr. Brett Martin was born and raised in Sacramento, California. He graduated with a B.S. in biological sciences, with an emphasis in molecular and cellular biology from UC Davis. He then completed his dental studies at UCLA, where he received his D.D.S. degree. During his time at UCLA, he was one of the founding members of the national Student Professional and Ethics Association (SPEA), which is responsible for promoting high ethical standards in the field of dentistry.
While volunteering at Give Kids a Smile and an underserved pediatric dental clinic, Dr. Martin found his passion for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Martin completed his pediatric specialty training at UCSF, where he also received a M.S. degree in oral and craniofacial biology. Besides being an avid sports fan, Dr. Martin could not be more excited to work in the Bay Area. Outside the dental office, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking, and golfing.
Dr. Martin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Zahra (as her patients know her) is a Bay Area native, who grew up in Moraga and graduated from Campolindo HS. She earned a B.S. in Physiology from SFSU and her DDS degree from UCSF School of Dentistry in 1999.
While at UCSF, Dr. Zahra was active in serving as class secretary, treasurer of the ASDC, and organizing and participating in several outreach programs and clinics for underserved children. She found her passion in caring for children and was awarded the ASDC Student Certificate of Merit in 1999.
Dr. Zahra pursued her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at USC. She obtained extensive experience in treating patients with special needs, complex medical, and behavioral issues. She received advanced education in conscious sedation and treatment of patients with complex dental procedures needing general anesthesia.
Dr. Zahra is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Contra Costa Dental Society, and California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Our associate doctors are independent contractors, our staff members are either Registered Dental Assistants or Registered Dental Hygienists with a special interest in children, including those with special needs.

The nicest, cleanest, most ethical office in the area! My husband is an orthodontist and our children see Dr. Jaffrey, but you are in good hands with any of the providers. I refer all of my friends & family here as well.

Our daughter is two years old and has been going here since she got her first teeth. The staff is extremely kind, comforting and safe. My daughter gets so excited when she gets to go here and I couldn't be happier with the treatment we receive. 10/10 would recommend them and we looking forward to being patients for many more years!

This office is the best. Took my kids here their first visit here today. They LOVED it. The staff were so friendly, gentle and kind. The kids literally felt like they were at a bday party with all the prizes, balloon etc. The dentist was great- very gentle with the kids and provided great explanations. Excellent experience. They will be excited for their next visit

My son had a cavity start hurting him very badly last night. They fit us in early in the morning and provided the best care. Every member of the staff was incredible, especially Maddy and Dr. Ariel. We will be back for all our pediatric dental needs.

Best experience ever! I took my almost 3 year old son here for his very first visit to the dentist and I was so incredibly pleased with our experience. My son has a speech delay so in new environments/situations he can sometimes feel overwhelmed since he can't verbally tell us "I feel scared" etc, so I was definitely a little nervous on how it would go. However, everyone at Walnut Creek Pediatric Dentistry was so kind and patient with my son. As expected he was a little nervous at first but the dental hygienist and dentist both made him feel comfortable and he warmed up to them in no time. Thank you Walnut Creek Pediatric Dentistry for a wonderful first time experience! Highly recommend them!

If I could give 10 stars I would. This place is beyond amazing and my 8 and 5 year old have never felt so comfortable at this office. My 8 year old has had many dental issues and Heather ALWAYS goes above and beyond to make him feel safe and at ease. My 5 year old begs to go to the dentist because she has so much fun every time. They are all calm, caring and truly passionate about their work. I highly recommend them and will never take my kiddos anywhere else.

We recently moved and today was our first visit with Walnut Creek Pediatric Dentistry. My son can't wait to go back in 3 months! Most fun he's ever had and they were so nice from beginning to end. From the office staff to the Dr. you can not go wrong. We have been going here since day 1. We are no longer in network and I will not change. We have had teeth pulled and other growing issues and thru all that my daughter LOVES coming here. That is another reason I will never leave. Finding a pediatric dentist that connects to your child doesn't seem like it would be easy to find. Thank you all for your wonderful work!
