My patients are a wonderfully diverse, interesting group of people. I love learning about each persons background and getting to know everyonepersonally. Seeing my patientsregularly, and sharing stories at each visit, we often become close. I am glad to have a profession where I make positive changes in the lives of people I care about.
Being an orthodontist means making a commitment to staying current with the most advanced techniques and technology. I participate in many forms of continuing education throughout the year, including the Eastside Treatment Planning Seminar and The 12th Man Orthodontic Study Club. Originally from Auburn, WA, Ive called Bellevue my home since 2000. My life is shared with my wifeAlicia, whos a pediatric dentist. I also have two boys, Jack and Max, and a pugnamed Mochi. When not caring for my patients, quality time with family and friends is my priority. I also enjoy learning about modern art and mid-century modern architecture. I can often be found painting, woodworking, and working on my vintage car, too.
I graduated from Grand Rapids Technical Center for Dental in 1996 with a Clinical assisting degree. I have been a Clinical assistant for over seven years, with a short break to raise my two children. I get to watch a smile transform from beginning to end.This is why I love working in this field. My family and I moved out west in 2002 and have called Seattle home since 2010. Go Hawks!
As a orthodontic assistant I enjoy seeing our patients beautiful smiles change throughout treatment. As a former patient of Dr. Wong,my experience with braces at the office is what made me want to work in the dental field! I graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2021 and have been grateful to be working with Dr. Wong and the amazing team members. When I am not at the office I enjoy hiking, painting, traveling, gaming, and visiting art/history museums!
I love meeting people at every age and stage of their lives. Building relationships with each patient, learning about their life, family, school, and work, is a pleasure. I enjoy educating people about orthodontics and how we can positively change their lives. I review proposed treatments with patients and parents, answertheir questions, and makesure they have the information needed to make a decision thats right for them. I also plan our marketing calendar and interact with our referring offices.
I enjoy working one-to-one with patients and familiesgetting to know them on a personal level and becoming friends. Its fun to see a persons excitement at starting orthodontics and then watch them grow and become more confident as they see their new smile appear. The day the braces come off Im right there, celebrating with them! As the financial coordinator, I review payment and financing options, and figureout the best way for a family to pay for orthodontics.
I live in Redmond with my husbandMartinand four kids: Kaitlin, Emma, Claire, and Ben. Our entire family loves music. We are members of the Northwest Choir, Bellevue Youth Symphony, Baudboys, Vocalpoint! Seattle, Eastside Symphony, and many others!
I have been with Dr Wong since June 2000 when he opened his Orthodontic practice. I retired from the Financial Coordinator position in November 2013 but continue as office bookkeeper doing the books for Dr Wong's practice. I work mostly from home.
My husband, Curt, and I have a small sailboat and spend as much time as possible sailing. We are very fortunate that all three of our daughters and their families live close by so we see them and our six grandchildren on a regular basis.
