Dr. Walker is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology. He grew up inDallasand attended Baylor College of Dentistry. While at Baylor, he was a member of the Odontological Honors Society and was selected to receive the Oral Biology Award and Merritt-Parks Award in Periodontics.
After earning his D.D.S. degree, Dr. Walker continued his education in Periodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry. At the end of his three-year residency, Dr. Walker received his certificate in Periodontology and Masters of Science degree.
During his periodontal residency, he served as chief resident and conducted research analyzing the bone response to a new implant surface. His research waspublished in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants.Dr. Walker continues to be an active member in the Dallas County Dental Society, which elected him New Dentist of the Year 2013. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, American Board of Periodontology, Southwest Society of Periodontists, and President of The Irving Dental Study Club for 2015-2016.
Courtney is our Patient Care Coordinator, and she is the friendly voice youll hear when you call our office. She has been in both the medical and dental fields for over ten years and genuinely enjoys meeting and assisting our patients in any way she can. Courtney is an avid runner and loves everything outdoors. She and her husband enjoy camping, fishing, and playing video games. Courtney also enjoys relaxing with a good book, and she and her husband also love hanging out with their fur baby, Biscuit!
Marcia is our treatment coordinator and handles all aspects of patient treatment. Marcia enjoys interacting with patients and walking them through the stagesof their recommended treatment and follow up care. She also assists patients with financing and navigating insurance benefits. In her spare time, Marcia enjoys travel, home improvement and home decorating projects, and spending time with her daughter, son, daughter-in law
Kristen graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry and has been practicing dental hygiene since 2006. She is passionate about helping patients achieve optimal oral health while making them feel comfortable and at ease in the dental chair. Kristen enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and their two children.
Joe is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas. He worked as a surgical technician in orthopedic surgery at both Baylor Dallas and Plano Medical Center before joining the practice. He actually began his career in dentistry/oral surgery and also worked for a period of time in the corporate world. He is happy to be back in periodontics/oral surgery and enjoys assisting Dr. Walker and helping patients achieve and maintain good oral health! Joe and his lovely wife enjoy travel, being outdoors, and working out. They also have a sweet dog named Emma!
Jules graduated the College of Healthcare Professions in 2018 with an RDA certification, and she completed an AAS degree in December of 2020. She has a passion for dental specialties, especially oral surgery, and loves meeting patients and assisting Dr. Walker. In her spare time, Jules enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her three teenagers.
Susan has been an RDA for 14 years, and she also holds a degree in accounting. She has two grown sons, the oldest of whom is a practicing dentist! Her younger son is a software engineer. Susan enjoys assisting Dr. Walker chairside and loves all facets of the periodontal office. Her hobbies include shopping, travel, and attending church with her husband. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family!
