After graduating from Oak Park High School, Dr. Erin Walker attained degrees in Neuroscience and Human Biology at the University of Southern California. Beyond the classroom, Erin founded USCs chapter of Global Dental Brigades, an organization with a mission of implementing sustainable health systems in underserved communities in Nicaragua and Honduras. Pioneering this movement was a natural progression from her community service involvement with the Westminster Free Clinic in Thousand Oaks throughout high school.
Though her heart and soul belong to Southern California, Erin took the opportunity to attend the highly ranked University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She was honored to be inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an honors society comprised of graduates who represent the top 12% of the class.
Karen has had a career in dentistry since 2010 and enjoys all aspects of helping patients. Theres nothing she loves more than getting to know the patients and guiding them along their journey to a beautiful smile.
When shes not in the office you can find her hiking the local trails with her German shepherds Finn and Rae, in the kitchen trying a new recipe or spending time with her very large family and friends.
Following dental school, Erin left behind the cold Michigan winters to attend the University of the Pacific to study orthodontics and earn her masters in the science of dentistry. At UoP, she had the opportunity to learn from esteemed Invisalign faculty and hone her skills in both Invisalign and traditional braces. She has extensive experience in Invisalign and defended her Masters Thesis on the use of Invisalign in young children. With a passion for pursuing the most effective, efficient, and esthetic treatment, Erin continues to expand upon her residency training to provide the best overall experience for each and every one of her patients.
It truly is a dream come true for Erin to have her own practice in the community where she was raised and her parents still live. She and her fianc, Kory enjoy all of the wonderful aspects of living in Westlake Village including tennis, golf, and hiking together. Outside of the office, you can find Erin spending time at the beach and taking long walks, usually while listening to a good podcast. She has always had a passion for health and fitness and loves lifting weights and trying all types of group fitness classes. All in all, there is nothing she loves more than giving back to the community she was raised in!
