Dr. John Walker founded the practice in 1978 and has since been a fixture in the community as a Harvard and Lunenburg orthodontist. He received his doctorate in Dental Medicine from New Jersey School of Dental Medicine and earned his Certificate in Orthodontics from Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Neely our highly-trained orthodontist in Harvard, MA, and Lunenburg, MA received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Columbia and a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Boston University, graduating with high honors.

Irresponsibly overbooked. They say come back in 4 weeks but the next available appointment is in 8-10 weeks. I guess they value income over efficient treatment.

my appointment was at 8:30 and it's 8:37 other people in here are also waiting and it's the first people of the day how can u be this late. these workers haven't said a word to me since i've got here and all the dumb dentists are doing is laughing and talking like get ti work and do what your getting paid for

As an adult who had known for 20 years that I needed jaw surgery but couldn't find the right orthodontist despite many attempts, finally connecting with Walker Orthodontics was a godsend! Dr. Walker was recommended as "the best" by a dentist I trusted, and she was absolutely right. Despite my initial skepticism and many questions, Dr. Walker made me feel so comfortable from our first conversation to the last. He knew exactly how to support the surgery I needed, and explained the complex orthodontic and 2-step surgical process in a very understandable way but without oversimplifying. All his timeline and financial estimates were spot-on and very clearly explained as well. As specialists in the "upper palette" issues I was facing, Dr. Walker and the team of amazing orthodontic hygienists not only perfectly aligned my bite and chewing around my surgically reconstructed jaw, but also opened my airway and greatly improved my breathing! Everything Dr. Walker promised, I got, with no surprises. The office staff work very well together and were very accommodating with some schedule conflicts I had during COVID. Dr. Walker was likewise very accommodating, patient and responsive to my questions, with amazingly timely phone follow-ups even in last-minute scenarios. I'm so happy and relieved that I found Walker Orthodontics and finally had the surgery I needed. Dr. Walker is a fantastic orthodontist and a fantastic person, too. I can't say enough about the team, either. Highest recommendation!

BEWARE Get a second option if Dr Walker suggests surgery. My son had Orthognathic surgery top and bottom jaw and after it was all done the dr then wanted him to have another surgery to widen his palate.

My dentist referred me to Walker Orthodontics for my jaw pain which often locked. I was diagnosed many years ago with TMJ and over the years it progressively got worse. I had jaw, head, neck, and shoulder pain that at times was chronic and debilitating. It often prevented me from eating and the pain often kept me awake at night and I did not feel well rested in the morning. November 2020 I went for a consultation and a daytime and nighttime appliance was recommended. The daytime appliance I would wear all day even when drinking and eating, removed at night to put in my nighttime appliance. When this was recommended to me I could not see how something like this would relieve me of my TMJ pain. In December I received my appliances. I can honestly say that after one month my jaw started feeling better and I was relieved of a great deal of pain that I was experiencing before. They monitored me weekly and biweekly and made adjustments as necessary. The beginning of June they began weaning me off the daytime appliance. I felt a little nervous, afraid that my jaw would fall right back into the pain I was experiencing before. I no longer wear the daytime appliance but will continue to always wear the nighttime appliance. I cannot believe nor can my family believe that after only 6 months I am PAIN FREE!! I can eat what I want, I can smile I can laugh whereas before all this was accompanied with pain. I honestly cannot say enough good about Dr. Walker and his wonderful and professional staff. Everyone at walker orthodontics is extremely kind and considerate, it makes it a pleasure to go in for checkups. You know you are getting the best available treatment with Dr. Walker as well, he is well known and respected in his field. So far I have nothing but great things to say but honestly I cant wait till I never have to go back again!

Walker Orthodontist was recommended by my dentist for jaw pain. I was very nervous at the time of the appointment and looking back felt pressured into buying a $5,000 retainer to fix the issue. A few days after my appointment my jaw was feeling better. I went back to pick up my retainer and told them my jaw was feeling better and they said well you already paid for it so use it anyway. I wore the retainer and instructed and it actually made my jaw feel worse. Every time I went for my follow up they would say it's fine and that the retainer is really helping. I have stopped wearing it all together now and feel fine. I honestly think it was a huge wad of money and they use scare tactics to make you buy.

Second Dr Walker during my consult inspected my mouth in his office without a mask on. If this happens to you. Say something about it before it happens.

Dr Walker's assistant Sarah met us at 7:30 pm on a Friday night to fix a broken piece on my son's braces. This is above and beyond I could have expected from anyone nowadays. She answered my multiple calls during the day with patience and encouragement and went out of her way to solve our issues. If this doesn't instill faith in humanity, I'm not sure what does. Kudos to the wonderful Sarah and Dr Walker's office.

Dr. Walker and his staff are extremely friendly, good people, who are pleased to help people to the best of their abilities. My son (who has Down Syndrome) always looked forward to seeing Dr. Walker. He was able to help him gain some precious years of life! He worked tirelessly to help my son. You'd be surprised at how much good properly aligned teeth can do! He also fixed my teeth so I am smiling fully all the time now.
