Dr. Blair Waldron grew up in Marietta where he graduated with honors from Walton High School. He then graduated from the University of Georgia (www.uga.edu) on a full alumni scholarship, was president of Chi Psi fraternity (www.chipsi.org), a member of the Interfraternity Council and the Order of Omega Honorary Society. At the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry (www.gru.edu/dentalmedicine/), Dr. Waldron was president of his freshman class, president of the American Student Dental Association, and then Region V Trustee for the Southeastern Dental Schools. He was selected to represent his school at the Bridging the Gap national seminar and also awarded the first Stan Hopkins Scholarship.
Since graduation, Dr. Waldron has been active in the American Dental Association (www.ada.org), the Georgia Dental Association (www.gadental.org), the Hinman Dental Society (www.hinman.org), and the American Academy of General Dentistry (www.agd.org). He is a member of the Marietta Rotary Club (www.mariettarotary.org), Cobb Chamber of Commerce (www.cobbchamber.org), Leadership Cobb Class of 2001, and Honorary Commanders Class of 2002. He also works with Cobb Youth Leadership, the Center for Family Resources (www.thecfr.org), and is a member of the Cobb Dental Society Child Assistance Program providing free dental care to selected needy children. In March 2008, Dr. Waldron was named one of the 20 Rising Stars Under 40 by Cobb Life Magazine.
In his spare time, Dr. Waldron enjoys running, cycling, swimming, and the outdoors. He lives in east Cobb with his wife, Krysia, a social psychologist (www.krysiawaldron.com). Dr. Waldron and his wife have two girls, twelve-year-old Elizabeth and nine-year-old Margaret, and eight-year-old son Pace.
After graduating from Duke University in 1966, Dr. Jonathan Waldron earned his Navy Wings in January of 1968. After a combat tour of duty in Vietnam he was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal and three Air Medals. He finished his flying career at NAS Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as a station pilot and Personnel Officer of the Naval Air Station.
Upon leaving active duty, Dr. Waldron graduated from the University of Florida School of Dentistry and served four years as a dental officer in the Naval Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan and then at NAS Dobbins Atlanta. While in private practice, Dr. Waldron has served as Commanding Officer of three Reserve Dental and Medical Units, the last of which was involved in Desert Storm.
Now a retired Navy Reserve Captain, Dr. Waldron has been practicing in Marietta for over thirty years, including the last eighteen with his oldest son, Blair. His daughter, Ashley, is a commercial photographer who has trained in New York City, Cortona, Italy, and has a B.F.A. from the University of Georgia. She specializes in interiors, events, products, and childrens portraits (www.awhphotoanddesign.com). Sons Davis and Mitchell are at Kennesaw State University and Chattahoochee Tech respectively. His brother Denis was also a naval aviator and Delta Pilot.
Dr. Christopher Lee was born in the Atlanta area and grew up in Johns Creek. Following graduation from Chattahoochee High School, he attended the University of Georgia earning an undergraduate degree in Microbiology (www.uga.edu). He attended dental school at the Medical College of Georgia (http://gru.edu/mcg/) and was then selected for a General Practice Residency where he received extensive training in IV sedation as well as extractions and dental implant placement.
Dr. Lee is an active member in the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Hinman Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry in which he is seeking his fellowship. He presently holds a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is committed to frequently attending continuing education courses throughout the country so that he can provide the best level of care for his patients.
