Dr. Alexander Waldman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a triple Ivy League trained orthodontist. He received his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He also received the National Board Achievement Award.
Dr. Waldman completed his fellowship in orthodontics at Harvard University and received the esteemed Joseph L. Henry Award for Excellence in Clinical and Research Training, awarded to the top graduate student amongst all dental specialties. At Harvard, Dr. Waldman also received a Master of Medical Sciences degree and studied the effect of collagen mutations on temporomandibular joint degeneration, establishing an innovative research model that has led to many other studies and sparked the development of Dr. Waldmans expertise in clinical management of jaw disorders and complex bite issues. Dr. Waldman was also recognized for his abilities to care for a wide range of children and adults with awards from the Society of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities and the American Society of Geriatric Dentistry.
Dr. Waldman has achieved the highest Diplomate status in the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA) and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). He was honored by having one of his cases selected from amongst hundreds of board cases as an ideal orthodontic result to be displayed at the annual meeting of the American Association of Orthodontists AAO.

A native of New York City, Dr. Waldman lives in Los Angeles with his wife Talya and three daughters. In his free time, Dr. Waldman enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, photography, listening to music, and hiking.

A state-of-the-art diagnostic process is essential in understanding the jaw relationship of each patient to create an optimal bite. Using digital imaging, Dr. Waldman obtains highly accurate and detailed views of all anatomies such as bone, teeth, and tooth orientation, tooth and nerve relation prior to confirming a patient's diagnosis and treatment plan.
All charges are included in your treatment fee, which is quoted at your examination. Dr. Waldmans treatment fee includes a diagnostic workup, complete treatment including all required visits, progress records during treatment, final records at the end of treatment, one set of retainers when the braces are removed, and periodic visits during the retention period. All diagnostic information is collected on site; you do not have to go to a separate dental laboratory.
During orthodontic treatment, routine maintenance of your appliances may be necessary. Occasionally, you may require an afterhours visit. At Waldman Orthodontics, we have an afterhours service should you need it.
OSHA is a government body that requires very stringent protocols to ensure patient and team member safety. Dr. Waldman utilizes state-of-the-art sterilization methods and uses outside consultants to monitor all sterilization techniques and results.
Dr. Waldmans green office is paperless and utilizes electronic charts, digital x-rays, digital models, electronic communication, etc. We also use recyclable materials whenever possible (excluding anything that goes into your mouth).
