Owner and founder, Dr. David Frank, is not a Texas native, but he got down here as quickly as he could. Born and raised in Amsterdam, New York, he grew up swimming and playing lacrosse and basketball. The oldest of two, Dr. Frank received a Division 1 lacrosse scholarship to play at the United States Air Force Academy. This is where he received his undergraduate degree. He then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. One of the reasons Dr. Frank chose to become a dentist was his fathers advice when he was younger: David, the key to professional happiness is being your own boss!
After Dr. Frank graduated from Tufts, he decided he wanted to practice dentistry in Austin. In 2015, Dr. Frank moved with his two labradors, Miller and Baxter, to Austin for the great weather, outdoors year round, amazing growth, technology-driven companies, and the dog-friendly environment! Dr. Franks favorite part of Texas is the resonating feeling of rugged American exceptionalism. Absolutely the best dentist I have ever dealt with. Dr. Frank and his staff care about their patients and it shows in everything they do. I also love that Dr. Frank is a fellow vet and continues the mantra of vets helping vets that means so much to us. My teeth were badly damaged in an explosion in Iraq and Dr. Frank built me back to a perfect smile. I can not recommend them enough. I know they also do a lot of philanthropy throughout the community this speaks to his character as well.

The best dental experience I've had in the last 10 years and the only dentist I've been to where I couldn't feel the numbing shots in my gums for a tooth extraction. They did a thorough job of explaining everything and giving me price options. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family!

After multiple visits to my last dentist with no resolution of pain issues I was told that 2 teeth needed extraction. I was not pleased. A neighbor recommended Dr. Frank. Emily (at Walden Dental) was able to schedule my visit quickly. We began with a conversation at Dr. Frank's desk ( not in the dental chair!) After x-rays he informed me that three teeth were in jeopardy. I was shown in detail what, and where the issues were and we talked about the steps he would take that day to rectify the situation. He went to work and, as they say, One and done! - and on my first visit! I have a new dentist from now on. The entire team at Walden Dental are incredible! My highest recommendation!

I would highly recommend Dr.Frank. He doesn't go after your money and push you for extra service. He understands what patient wants and sets the priority to focus on the needs first. He guides patients step by step which is the plus point of having him as your dentist. In that way , patient can plan financially. I did my smile makeover and I am super satisfied. He takes care of his patient. His staff is very kind and understands your needs. Emily is my favorite. They have a dog who helps you get over your anxiety. I am little anxious about dental services but I was playing with their dog and forgot my nervousness. Dr. Frank is very talented. He communicates everything before and while performing procedure.

Excellent service, I came in with a toothache and was taken care of all in one day, from x-ray all the way to getting a root canal and crown on two of my badly infected teeth. Doctor Frank and all staff were very friendly and reassuring!

Walden Dental is a great place to be seen. I went for the good reviews, and after 2 years I am very grateful to have a good dentist. I have a small mouth and big teeth but always visits there have been comfortable. I've had to get 2 partial crowns for old cavities these past 2 years and the experience was seamless. A couple months ago I had bad bike accident and cracked my tooth in 1/2. I nervously called from the emergency room. Dr. Frank answered immediately and they came in on a Sunday to check me out. I was in rough shape, he did several tests and they took several images. Gave me a part time tooth to give me time to heal my face and lips that were heavily swollen. I had to go back for a crown. He gave me my smile back. It looks very real and if I would shut up most people wouldn't even know. It's taken awhile to heal but daily feeling better. It's a huge relief to have a team that cares about you. Emily will call back or text to check on you . If you need a dentist, I recommend this place and also want to mention their whole staff has been kind and gentle. Dr. Frank is great but everyone that has done cleaning also does a great job. Never any issues!

Dr. Frank is uniquely talented with a calm assertive demeanor and excellent bedside manner for patients that struggle with dental anxiety. What makes Walden Dental stand out beyond his skills is the incredible team that makes it operate efficiently and fluidly. Emily, the manager wears a ton of hats but is the glue of the company and our assistant Angela was everything you could ask for. All interactions we had were top notch. We came in expecting to need full replacements and were delighted to learn we were able to save some teeth making the end result look even more natural. A few weeks after completion, my wife's quality of life has taken a substantial upgrade. Thank you so much for everything you did!

Walden Dental was a very pleasant place to visit. The staff was super friendly and very helpful.They answered any and all questions i had. They created a very welcoming environment. The procedure I went through was very smooth and easy and I will make this my home for all dental needs.Dr Frank was awesome and made me feel very comfortable the entire time.
