I needed orthodontic care at an early age and was exposed to the dental field during that process. I worked in various offices through high school and college, with my orthodontist serving as my mentor. Choosing dentistry was a natural fit for my skills and passions: healthcare and community!
One of the most important aspects of what I dois creating and maintaining an environment where each patient feels at ease. So many times I meet patients who have avoided seeing the dentist sometimes for years due to an unpleasant past experience.I do everything I can to help my patients overcome that fear: I listen, I validate their experience, and then I talk with them about my approach to dentistry.
While I graduated from dental school in 2002, I have never stopped learning. Continuing education is the only way I can stay current with the ongoing changes in technology and advancements in dentistry.
I am involved in local study groups with other doctors and specialists, where we discuss different cases and collaboratively plan treatment. This process of sharing knowledge, and learning from one another, improves the quality of care I provide.I am constantly expanding my knowledge and understanding in order to provide patients with the best modern dentistry.
I grew up in Somerville and now live in Wakefield with my husband, Konstantinos, and our two children, George and Kristina. Konstantinos owns and runs Studiodontics Dental Lab, which is an integral part of the Wakefield Custom Dental practice.
Family time is a big part of our lives. When were not working, youll likely find us outdoors, enjoying bike rides aroundthe lake and in the winter our family loves to ski. We also enjoytraveling andlearning about different cultures and places. Closer to home, Konstantinos and I volunteer at our childrens schools and through our parish. We know recently also teach Greek dance toyoung children and teenagers.
I came to the conclusion that my personal goal is to create positive experiences so people can achieve happiness and success in their life. This statement applies to all aspects of my life but is particularly relevant to what I do as a dentist.
I own and run Studiodontics Dental Lab which is now located within Wakefield Custom Dental in order to serve our patients better. I love the art of mimicking natural dentition using artificial materials. It is an ongoing challenge in our field, and I never get bored with keeping up with new technologies and materials. My wife, Dr. Karogiannis, and I are very fortunate to have an amazing team supporting us. We are all very dedicated to our patients.
Dr. Karogiannis and I have two beautiful children, George and Kristina. I am very artistic and love creating anything, from the smallest drawing to the biggest construction project. I love the challenge of creating something from nothing, especially when it can improve other peoples lives
I began working with Dr. K in 2012 while she was an Associate at a previous practice and accompanied her when she purchased Wakefield Custom Dental in 2014. Iassisted the Doctor chair-side for 8 years where some of my independent duties included taking digital X-rays in which I received my certification at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, takingimages with our Primescan scanner for Crowns/Bridges, Nightguards, and Whitening Trays. I wasalso responsible for whitening our Patients teeth and helpedto create beautiful smiles! I continue tohandle the ordering of supplies and maintenance of equipment. While I maintain my certification as an Assistant, since January of 2021 I have been at the front desk assisting our patients with scheduling and explanation treatment plans. I love using my knowledge from the operatory to help educate our current and new patients with what to expect at each visit.
At home, I have a teenage son who is going into his senior year inhigh school, working towards his Plumbing certification and is very busy with sports. I enjoy cooking and experimenting in the kitchen, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.
I began my career in dentistry in 2013 as a Licensed Dental Assistant. After several years, I transitioned into an administrative role when given the opportunity to help build a new dental practice and become an office manager. Joining Dr. Ks team in 2021 as our insurance coordinator, I ensure patients understand their insurance coverage and any co-payments associated with their treatment. I love being able to communicate effectively with patients about the clinical reasoning for their treatments, as well as discuss the financials to maximize their insurance. My goal is for every patient to have the opportunity to have a healthy mouth and love their smile!
I enjoy working closely with each patient, providing adult and pediatric cleanings, oral cancer screenings, and preventive care. Im truly passionate about preventive dentistry, offering education and instruction so each patient achieves great dental health. My goal is for you to leave my chair with a clean smile and a positive plan for great oral health! I graduated from Middlesex Community College with an Associates in Dental Hygiene and am licensed in local anesthesia. Im also CPR and OSHA Certified. On my days off, I enjoy spending time with my husband Ryan and our two young sons, Ben and Caleb. I am an animal lover who has three cats roaming my jungle home. I love to be outdoors hiking or at the beach or forcing my husband into a vacation somewhere!

I graduated from the Massachusetts Universityof Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2012 with a Bachelors in Dental Hygiene. This led me on a journey to meet new people, make new friends and find my wonderful husband Paul which then brought along our fun lovingson, Benjamin and soon after,our family was complete with our beautiful daughter, Mia. Much of my free time is spent with my family, though I can be found hitting bombs in a local softball league, too. If you hear someone randomly singing country music, Taylor Swift, or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in the halls of the office, its probably me!
