Dr. Eric Wagoner was born and raised in Auburn, Indiana. His uncle was a dentist and sparked Dr. Wagoners interest in the field from an early age. He grew up loving his visits to see Uncle DJ at the dental office. He even won an award for his 3rd-grade science fair project on tooth decay!
Following high school graduation, he attended Purdue University, where he received his Bachelors of Science in General Health Sciences and his Masters of Science in Molecular Biology. He was then accepted into the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2011 with honors, including receiving the Student Excellence Award for Clinical Proficiency and Excellence in Academics.
Dr. Wagoner stays current with all the advances in modern dentistry by taking many times the required annual hours of continuing education courses. He has many hours of post-graduate training in areas such as oral surgery, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and implant dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Seattle Study Club, the Spear study club, and the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics. Dr. Wagoner is a former member of the NEH Dental Society.
Dr. Wagoner is very passionate about dentistry and providing his patients with the highest level of care currently available. His focus is on being as conservative as possible, preserving the maximum amount of tooth structure and avoiding more invasive treatments. He places high importance on providing pain-free dentistry in a positive environment where the patient can take part in decisions that affect their oral and overall health.
He met his wife, Ingrid, in his first year of dental school while skiing in Vail, CO, and they married in 2009. They relocated to North Carolina after his graduation, where Dr. Wagoner spent five years serving the underprivileged residents of this state in a rural setting. Ingrid trained to become a dental lab technician and currently makes removable prosthetics. In his free time, he enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, mountain biking, hunting, and fishing.

Dr. Wagoner utilizes latest techniques and procedures to ensure the provided care is top notch, all while making you feel completely comfortable and well cared for. My wife and I along with our 3 kiddos, ages 8 and twin 4 y.o.'s, always enjoy our visits to WFFD!

Dr. Wagoner and his staff are wonderful. They use the latest in technology and absolutely have the most friendly and capable staff. I have had a number of procedures done recently and I couldn't be happier with the results. While there is probably not a person on earth that would love to go to the dentist, each & every person in the office made sure that I was well taken care of and comfortable. I highly recommend the practice for your whole family.

If you are looking for a dentist that provides not only exceptional dental care, using the most up-to-date dental procedures, but more importantly a staff that actually listens and cares for each patient's concerns - Dr Wagoner is the dentist. I will always be grateful for the amount of patience and care he has with my mother's dental needs - to include emergency calls over a weekend and last minute scheduling when she needed it.
