Over the years, Dr. Jeon has developed a mix of anesthesia and relaxation techniques that allows patients to experience all the benefits of a top-rated dental practice, without the anxiety many associate with a visit to the dentist.
I always knew that I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. There seemed to be something magical, gratifying and even self-healing in the opportunity to help someone feel better when something didnt feel right. As I grew up watching my father helping and treating his patients through acupuncture, I wanted to do something similar with my hands. Ironically, dentistry was not in my future plans due to a personal traumatic childhood experience at a dentist office in South Korea. After I graduated from North Carolina State University in 2006 with Magna Cum Laude in Microbiology and minors in genetics, psychology, health, medicine & human values, I was on my path to pursue medicine. As fate would have it, I landed a short-term job as an office intern/dental assistant during this time while preparing to apply to medical schools and the rest became history.
Attending UNC Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry was definitely a dream come true. After graduating with DDS in 2012, I worked as an associate for 3 years in different areas of the triangle until I found Dr. Moreheads office in Wake Forest in the summer of 2015. She was ready to pass on the torch and I was grateful to continue caring for her family of patients. These patients have accepted me with kind open arms and they have become part of my own. I appreciate and enjoy their every visit, family updates and wonderful comments/treats they bring to the office. I truly consider and provide treatment for them as I would for my own and Im sincerely grateful for their trust and smiles.
When Im not working at the office, I spend all of my free time being a mom and wife. I live in north Raleigh with my husband James (my high school sweetheart from Broughton High School) and our 3 children: Zoe (11), Noah (9) and Isaiah (3). We also have a tiny fur ball named Teddy, who is a poo-chon. We love trying out different restaurants in town and just spending time together as family.
Leasa has 21 years of Dental Assisting working experience. She started with Dr. Jeon as an assistant in January 2017 and in February of 2019 Leasa transitioned into the Office Manager of Wake Dental Wellness. She has attended dental seminars in Florida, Raleigh and Chapel Hill.
Tracey graduated from Wake Technical College as a Certified Dental Assistant in 1991 and worked as an assistant for 6 years. She worked for Dr. Jeon/ Dr. Morehead as Office Manager for 23 years and in 2018 decided to work part time for the past 3 years. She had attended dental seminars in Chicago, Cleveland, Florida, Charlotte and Raleigh. She has 23 years experience in filing dental claims with insurance companies.
Angela has been in the dental field for 34 years. She is a graduate of Vance-Granville Community College. She completed her Certified Dental Assisting course at UNC School of Dentistry in 1996. She has attended dental seminars locally, Georgia and as far away as Texas.
Ashley graduated from Wake Technical College as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2007. Ashley has worked for Dr. Jeon/ Dr. Morehead for 10 years and has been a hygienist for 15 years. She was born and raised in Durham, NC. When she is not at work Ashley loves the beach but most of the time you can fin her watching her boys race BMX.
Jeannin graduated from Enloe High School in 1984 (member of the National Honor Society). She attended UNC Wilmington and graduated with a BS in Biology in 1988. Jeannin decided to pursue a career in dentistry after working as a dental assistant in 1983 and the following summers. She earned her associate in dental hygiene in 1991. For 30 years she has enjoyed taking care of patients ages 3 to 103.
Our practice, in the heart of Wake Forest, NC, was started to be something more than a regular dental practice. We wanted a place where patients seeking cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening and other dental work could feel at home.
Our team of dental hygienists and assistants all came on board with the goal of creating a positive, long-term work environment. Coming to our office feels like visiting family, where you see the same faces each time. We pride ourselves in our family atmosphere and the sense of comfort it evokes for our patients!
