Our cosmetic and general dentistry practice, located right here in Waco, Texas, is designed to offer our patients the most technologically advanced dental experience possible, in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere.
The goal of our office is to treat our patients dental needs comprehensively. With the use of advanced diagnostic tools such as low radiation digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, and Diagnodent laser cavity detection aids, Dr. Little and I are able to provide our patients with a comprehensive treatment plan designed to correct any problem areas caused by decay or periodontal disease, while also providing esthetic solutions for any cosmetic areas of concern.
Waco Family Dentistry began in 1975 when Dr. Steven Little left the Air Force and moved back to his hometown in Waco, TX. During his years of solo practice, he focused on building a practice based on comprehensive care- treating the whole patient instead of just treating emergencies.
Over the years the practice grew, and in 2005, Dr. Zachary Schwab joined the practice. Having practiced in Fort Worth for a couple of years as an associate for different Dentists, Dr. Schwab was ready to settle into a practice long term. Dr. Littles philosophy of comprehensive care is what drew Dr. Schwab an hour and a half south to Waco and its where his family has called home since!
As new advances in technology and techniques have emerged, the practice has evolved adding digital x-rays, laser therapies to better improve our patients periodontal health and Sleep Apnea therapy for those who have a sleep breathing disorder and cant tolerate a CPAP.
While the practice has always been family oriented, that message became lost over time, so in 2016 Dr. Schwab changed the name of the practice to Waco Family Dentistry to emphasize our philosophy of treating families, not just adults. Dr. Little is proud that he has spent his career taking care of generations of Wacoans, and Dr. Schwab strives to continue with that focus. It is our reward and our privilege to see families and kids grow and transform, or to have patients that we saw as kids bring their kids in!

Dr. Schwab enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and their two sons, Wyatt, and Carter. Riding bikes and camping are some of their favorite activities. Dr. Schwab is also an avid racing fan, soccer and football fan.

I hadn't been to the dentist in quite some time and they made the experience very comfortable. The hygienist who worked on my teeth was awesome and did a fantastic job. The dentist was very friendly and easy to talk to about my dental issues.

Dr. Little and his staff are the best anyone could ever hope for in these day and times. True professionals, but they also have great empathy for us bad patients.. (And I'm one of those --not a great patient mind you!). There are so many dentest out there, but not all are created equal. This group are really good with my son and I, so good we travel a long distance just to see him and his wonderful staff.

The lady who dealt with my son was rude and complained because he had braces. I love Waco Family Dentist, Dr. Swabb and Dr. little are awesome, but this lady is new and didn't seem to care. Then she complained that he didn't have his parent with him, I'm a widow and his older brother took him for an appointment. His brother does have medical power of attorney for appointments, since my son's father is deceased. This lady was not very professional. I'm a teacher and can't always take care of these extra appointments, like today he chipped a tooth at basketball.
