We will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. For patients who require major work, a complete payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card.
Dr. Appel grew up in Monroeville, Pa and graduated from Gateway Senior High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and his Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He was Vice President of Chestnut Hills Dental in Irwin and served on the policy board of American Dental Partners where his responsibilities included evaluating and mentoring the other dentists in the practice. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and has received extensive training in restorative and cosmetic dentistry from some of dentistry's top educators. He consistantly exceeds by a wide margin the state mandated requirement for continuing education. Dr. Appel enjoys golf, skiing, fitness training, travel, photography, cooking , gardening and landscaping. He met his wife Barbara in high school, and they have two beautiful daughters, Jackie and Emily.

There are just no words that can accurately describe how wonderful not only Dr. Appel is but his entire team. I have been a patient for a little over a year now and have never once second guessed choosing Dr. Appel to complete the extensive dental work I needed done. I was embarrassed about the condition of my teeth but meeting Dr. Appel and his staff for the first time I immediately knew I had nothing to worry about! They have been nothing but encouraging and helpful throughout the process. Dr. Appel's work is impeccable and he truly cares about his patients. I can now say I love going to the dentisit! I will continue to recommend Dr. Appel to anyone and everyone!

Dr. Appel is a fantastic Dentist. I have work that he completed over 25 years ago still functioning wonderfully in my mouth. I have seen lots of dental work and his beautifully recreates a natural and more importantly comfortable restoration. My appointments always met or exceeded my expectations. My experience with Dr. Appel, his hygienist team and office support staff has always been amazing. Dr. Appel does a great job to make me feel comfortable by blending his professional dental knowledge and skill with his personal approach. I have had about 6 years of experience with this office and Dr.Appel. He is a perfectionist! He does beautiful cosmetic work. He puts in the time and thought for the best possible solution to any issue. I absolutely tell everyone! I carry his cards everywhere! I've recommended all my family and friends because I have seen how much he cares about making things right. He has done a seemless implant on my dad, after a drastically successful whitening. He looks great. The team has helped my mom with gum issues which have improved, followed by professional whitening. He has replaced poorly fitted crowns with my dad, aunt and grandma to finally have them working and feeling as they should. I have always been treated with respect and I know that my concerns are his. I can't say enough! Every question, every concern he takes the time to make sure you understand. He is honest and caring. He is exactly what a dentist should be!
