Relieving a patients dental pain, restoring a persons ability to chew comfortably and properly, and improving his or her oral and overall health are all very rewarding. However, changing the way the individual feels about himself is priceless!
I believe in caring for each of my patients professionally and compassionately. I focus on conservative dentistry by saving as much natural tooth structure as possible. This approach is called biomimetic dentistry. Patient education is an integral part of my practice. I want all my patients to learn about their unique oral health concerns and how those affect overall wellness. Together, the patient and I develop a unique treatment plan derived from a comprehensive exam and prescribed X-rays and photographs.
I enjoy seeing my patients and look forward to their visits. Besides caring for their oral health, its a good time to catch up on their news. Being a dentist is more than treating teeth. Its about helping people.
Since I believe my patients deserve the best treatment options, I constantly pursue continuing education opportunities. The science of dental materials, techniques, and technology changes rapidly. I want to make sure I am current on the developments so my patients always receive the best of care.
I have attended many courses in advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry, dental implants, and oral pathology. A materials and polymer chemist by degree, I frequently enjoy reading and learning about the chemistry of bonding agents and dental materials. I am also a past president of the Dalton Dental Study Club.
I have participated in a dental mission trip to Guatemala and have volunteered my professional services at the Whitfield County Health Department. On two occasions, I taught a Boy Scouts of America class about dentistry. Upon completion, the scouts achieved the dentistry merit badge.
I was born and raised in Rome, Georgia, until I was eight years old. My family then relocated to Harriman, Tennessee. We resided in Harriman for seven great years before moving to Dalton. I finished my last two years of high school at Dalton High School, where I wasa member of the class of 1984. Ive lived and practiced in Dalton since 1993.

I have been going to see Dr.Battles since I was a small kid. He is the best and I am so glad I have gone to him all this time. Over those many years I have had cleanings, fillings, emergencies with a broken tooth and even cosmetic dentistry. My smile is amazing and I could not have achieved my smile without Dr. Battles.

Definitely a 5 star experience! I had both filler and a comprehensive dental exam. I was really impressed with the CBCT scan (3D). The scan detected several dental issues, which were not detected during other office visits at my regular dentist. My filler was amazing! I have the most beautiful lips thanks to Dr. Battles!

Dr. Battles is highly skilled, excellent at explaining procedures that are required and the techniques he will use in complex dentistry restorations, implants and the like. He is also a genuinely friendly person who makes one feel at ease. His staff are professional and assist him in his work. Highly recommend Dr. Battles as your dentist. He has treated me for over 25 years.

I had an emergency and needed my crown put back on. The staff was so amazing and got me right in. My jowl and teeth fit perfectly now. I had no idea how off it was. I am grateful and thankful for Dr. Battles taking the time to make it right!! Best office experience I've had in such a long time.

Friendly professional staff and I've been to quite a few different dentists in the area.by far this was the best experience so far and the first I've been to that shows a CT scan X-ray so they're advanced in their league.Even though my wisdom tooth came out in pieces I didn't feel a thing and I don't like taking pain medication so I was afraid since mine wasn't a simple extraction I might be in some intense pain but the very next day the pain was mild and the day after barely at all! I would recommend this dentist to anyone looking.top notch in the area! This will be my main dentist from now on.

I drive over 250 miles for my dental appointments because Dr. Battles is professional and extremely knowledgeable. I have continued to keep him as my dentist even after moving out of the area. He and his team are fantastic. He uses cutting edge technology to provide high quality service to his patients. I highly recommend!

We were very pleased with Dr. Battles an his team. He is by far the best dentist around. He done a procedure on my husband an he messaged me the night after the surgery an also the next day to check on my husband. His office is very affordable for someone that does not have insurance. Dr. Battles office worked very quick with my husbands dental max discount on making sure we get reimbursed as much as possible. He pulled all of my husbands top teeth an he done it in a nice timely manner. Now to let my husband heal for a few weeks. Then Dr. Battles will be putting a plate for my husbands implants in. We are very satisfied with Dr.Battles an will definitely refer him every time i get a chance too.

I was having the worst tooth pain ever and knew it needed to be pulled but kept putting it off because my last experience at another office was horrifying. I got there and Dr. Battles asked me if I wanted to go ahead and pull it today. I said sure and next thing you know he was getting it out of there. The whole experience was a million times better than before. I didn't even know he had taken the tooth out at all. The staff was friendly and they all were completely comfortable with each other. I will always use and recommend this office.

Dr Battles is an easy going caring professional who gets things done. He pulled two wisdom teeth the first visit and I had minimal discompfort and zero pain. His friendly (and beautiful) staff gave me their undivided attention and had me in and out super fast so i could get on with my day. Dr B even contacted me later that evening to check on me which I did not expect, it was a nice touch and meant the world to me! My mouth feels better than ever. Dr. Battles' knowledge and professionalism is far superior to that of your average dentist. He uses a noninvasive approach to correcting your issues while preforming dental work that is both top quality and long lasting. He is a true visionary when it comes to cosmetic dentistry. His staff's kind demeanor has a way of alleviating the traditional anxiety of visiting the dentist. They make your visit both pleasurable and comfortable. Recently, Dr Battles did a complete cosmetic dental makeover on my smile. I get compliments on my teeth almost daily. He created a look that's beautiful while maintaining the appearance of being natural. No one ever asks where I had my dental work done. They simply say you have beautiful teeth. One member of Dr. Battles' staff speaks Spanish which demonstrates his true commitment to both his patients and the community as a whole.
