Dr. Wongs passion is individualized patient care on the level that the patient is most comfortable with, whether it is basic preventative care or comprehensive cosmetic rehabilitation. He is committed to providing the best dental care tailored to each individual.
Dr. Wong graduated from the University of California at Davis with a B.S. in Exercise Science. He then attended New York University College of Dentistry where he met Dr. Barretto and graduated in 2004. After graduation, he performed his general practice residency at the University Medical Center in Fresno. After returning to the East Bay after residency he began practicing in Walnut Creek in 2007.
Dr. Wong and Dr. Barretto have three young children. When not spending time with his family he enjoys focusing on fitness with interests in Olympic style weightlifting, bodyweight strength training, athletic performance, and Crossfit. He also loves sports including tennis and basketball.
Dr. Barretto enjoys getting to know each patient individually and helping them get the dental care they desire. She always aims to provide high-quality dentistry by being informed with the latest advances in dental materials and technology. Dr. Barretto aspires to treat each patient like a family member and wants everyone to feel comfortable when they walk through the doors.
Dr. Barretto graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Biology. From there she attended New York University College of Dentistry, where she met Dr. Wong and graduated in 2004. After graduation, she performed her general practice residency in Fresno, California at the University Medical Center. Since that time she has been practicing in the Bay Area, and in 2007 began practicing in Walnut Creek.
Dr. Barretto and Dr. Wong have three young children which keeps her very busy. When she finds spare time she enjoys staying active with Crossfit classes and catching up on movies. She also loves to find good eats with Dr. Wong.
Mayra has been a registered dental hygienist for 19 years. She is a strong advocate of preventing and controlling oral disease. She graduated from the University Of Illinois College Of Dentistry Dental hygiene program. Mayra received an award for the Most Improved Clinician in her graduating class. For 19 years, she has been educating patients about the oral disease and motivating them of the benefit of good oral health. Her exceptional patient rapport, extensive experience and high clinical standards were sought out by the University of Illinois College of Dentistry Restorative Department/implant clinic. She was the first Dental Hygienist to implement a hygiene recall system and soft tissue management program for the prosthodontic residents. Mayras optimal goal is to continue to bring the highest preventive and therapeutic oral care to the Bay Area residents. She has been living in California since 2014 and joined the practice in 2015. Mayra is a former Chicago resident and is fluent in Spanish. During her free time, she enjoys working out, cooking and weekend getaway to wine country. She lives in Danville and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two Maltese dogs, Sparkie and Bunnie.
Lindsey is our Front Office Coordinator with 8 years of customer service and 4 years of medical field experience. She completed her Certified Nursing Assistant and Associates Degrees at Napa Valley College and Sac Med School. She possesses the skills to create a great patient experience with the knowledge she has gained throughout her career. When not at W&B Dental, Lindsey enjoys traveling, boating, or spending time at home or out and about with her family, dog Brodie, and friends.

My husband and I have been going to this dental practice for the past 5 years. The office staff is friendly and professional and the hygienists and dentists are great. The hygienists really care about getting to know their patients. I have never felt any pressure to do more dental work than what is actually needed like some experiences that I have had in the past. Highly recommend this dental practice.

Just moved dentist after my wife recommended W&B. This was my first dentist trip since the pandemic started. I had some staining issues and some concerns about alignment. Jenny, Mayra, and Doctor Wong worked together and put me at ease by laying out their plan to assess where I was with my teeth and how to get things back on track. I'm delighted with the improvement in appearance Mayra have me today. There's some work to straighten my teeth ahead, but I'm no longer worried. I've got confidence in the team, and I'm no longer so self-conscious on video calls.

A wonderful dental practice for the whole family! Up to date with all the COVID protocols. Book your whole family to be seen at the same time. The front office staff is prompt and attentive. Love this dental practice. They are very quick to respond to any concerns, always providing explanations and showing images to help explain what needs to be addressed and why. Everyone is very friendly. Would definitely recommend to others in the area.

Dr. Wong and his competent staff have looked after my dental needs since B&D moved into the Walnut Creek location; using the latest technology; the quick easy on-site one-visit crown procedure is especially impressive; and they have beautiful Christmas decoration too!

Had a great experience during my first visit! The team is super welcoming and professional. I came out of my appointment feeling like I learned a ton about the health of my mouth and how to improve my habits at home. My cleaning was a breeze as well, really enjoyed speaking to the hygienist - she was so lovely! Definitely felt like the team genuinely cared about my health and concerns, and I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I highly recommend Dr. Wong. He did four crowns for me over two years. I am 60 years old and many of my fillings are old and breaking down. He and his staff are super gentle (I have jaw issues) and knowledgeable and skilled. He does quick work and they fabricate the permanent crowns in their onsite lab so everything is done in one appointment! They fit perfectly and feel natural. With one of these teeth, the tooth broke on a weekend and I put in an emergency call to Dr. Wong. He called me right back. I wasn't in pain so we decided to just get me in on Monday. I was afraid I'd need a root canal, but he was able to save my tooth! Dr. Wong does amazing work. Two thumbs up!

My daughter and I have been going to Dr Wong for at least 10 years. He and the staff are great! My daughter has Down Syndrome and grinds her teeth and Dr Wong and staff really do a great job helping her keep them in good shape and explaining things to her. Very proactive in working on keeping teeth healthy, plus reasonable rates. I have recommended W&B Dental to all my friends.

Great, caring dentists and staff. I have been going to Dr. Wong and Dr. Barretto for 7 years. They are great dentists. I recently got implants and love them. I went in yesterday for a crown and was pleasantly surprised with a new dental assistant. Jenny is the best! She explains everything before the procedure and is so sweet and very gentle. I love everyone there. Myra is also a great and thorough hygienist. And of course, the girls at the front desk are always wonderful and cheerful. If you are afraid of going to the dentist, this is the place to go
