Dr. Preston strives to create beautiful, naturally radiant smiles for the Triangles most select and highly demanding clientele. She completed her undergraduate degree in dental hygiene at the Ohio State University and her dental degree a the University of Maryland at Baltimore Dental School. Dr. Preston has over 20 years of experience working in general and cosmetic dentistry.
Shes a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the American Dental Association, and the North Carolina Dental Society. She is dedicated to helping people achieve better oral health in her community and across the globe. She has participated in numerous mission projects, including a dental mission trip to Mexico. She has also been on multiple missions to the Dominican Republic where she helped bring dental education and treatment to children and adults.
Jordan received her dental assisting degree at Miller Motte College in Raleigh, NC in March of 2020. Jordan joined Dr. Prestons team in June of 2020. She loves working with Dr. Preston because her she always goes above and beyond for her patients and the dental work she does globally is truly inspiring. Jordan is originally from Kansas City and is a big sports fan. Go Chiefs! She also has a dog named Winston that loves to cuddle.
Donna will be the first friendly face you will meet at the front desk. She has proudly been in dentistry for almost 30 years. She is experienced in dental insurance verification, treatment planning, practice marketing and customer service. Donna has been friends of the practice for many years and is so excited now be able to help make your dental experience the best ever! Donna is married with 2 children and lives in the Brier Creek area. She loves helping people and is an active member of The Summit Church. Stop by and say hello anytime!
Erin received her Dental Assisting degree from OCM Boces in Liverpool, New York. She has advanced training in ZOOM!, teeth whitening, Cerec same day crowns, Invisalign clear braces, and Implant dentistry, to name a few. She regularly attends advanced continuing education classes to make every attempt to stay on top of the ever changing dental field.
Erin joined Dr. Prestons team in September 2000. She enjoys the relationships she develops with her patients. She considers them an extension of her family. Seeing patients who are changed by their smiles is incredibly rewarding. Erin enjoys the procedures that make an impact on patients confidence. She says, To see the change in a patients self-confidence after dental treatment is the best part of my day. As challenging as our day can be, the reward is worth it.
Erin is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, where she lived most of her life. Erin and her husband Daniel reside in Raleigh with their 2 year old son, Hudson. Erin also has two senior dogs, Raven and Sydney, and a 21 year old bird, Murray. When Erin isnt helping create beautiful smiles at VP Dental, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, rooting for the Wolfpack, and advocating for Adoption.

VP Dental is the best dental practice I have ever been to. Dr. Preston is warm, caring, and always willing to listen to any concerns. She is knowledgeable and extremely skilled at what she does. Her staff is excellent as well. So glad I found this practice!!

Dr Preston is Not just great dentist, but a leader who inspires her dedicated staff to adopt and thrive in a culture where the patients are treated not "like" but "AS" FAMILY!!!! Dr Preston and staff are also great mentors on dental matters obviously, but take the time to help patients on other health matters; so just going for a "cleaning", they can encourage you to bring your overall health to the next level!

At each visit, without fail, the staff is professional and extremely personable. Dr. Preston and staff are knowledgeable and efficient, but never seem in a hurry to finish. As a 20-year patient, I know they are sincerely focused on oral health and provide up-to-date services based on the latest research and devices. Additionally, individual needs are always met, taking care of each patient's unique needs and concerns, like my very sensitive teeth. It is a warm, relaxing, and inviting atmosphere. My self, wife and her mom, has been with Dr Preston's buddies for the last 15+ year's. We have always been treated as VIPs, because that's how they treat their patients!!! I just recently had to get a transplant, which I figured this was going to be very painful, the TEAM took GREAT care of me, and sent me home with no problems , thanks guy's!!!

VP dentist are really a team of professionals who not only care about your dental health, but also about the time you spend with them. I was really impressed with the punctuality, friendly environment and painless experience in this particular office. It is really wordy to travel a few extra miles (in my case) to meet these wonderful people. Thank you so much for your professionalism!

I'm very Much afraid of dental procedures of any kind! I was handled by Dr. Preston with great understanding and care. I never felt that it was a problem for her to stop during procedure for me to take a breath. I thought the facility was great too. I so enjoyed watching tv while having a root canal! I give this place 5 stars!

I been coming to Dr. Preston since Oct. 2018. I am always greeted by the office manager, Donna. With a bubbly personality like hers, you could never have a bad day. The office has a relaxing feel from the moment you walk in. Amber was my hygienist today. She is genuine, fun and unpretentious. She was thorough and I left with squeaky clean teeth. Dr. Preston is personable and caring. At my exam, she makes me the center of her attention. She is gentle and honest in her assessments. At check-out, you are greeted by Allie. She is sweet. I am not rushed and she answered any questions I had. Thank you to Dr. Preston and her staff who made my visit fun, relaxing and with a clean bill of health . They will make you smile too.

Horrific experience please do not let this business take advantage of you. I was completely taken advantage of by Valerie Prestons office. I came to her for a second opinion and was referred from Facebook. I needed cavities filled and was told one side was far worse and may need to be a root canal so we did the left side first. Everything went great and I didn't need a root canal. Fast forward to my next visit. Valerie was drilling on my tooth and said oh no! Looks like we will need a root canal. She said I had to pay now or they could not finish the work. I cried and was freaking out but she said insurance will be sending a check and I needed to pay now. I paid and She packed my tooth to prep it and sent me home I was supposed to return in a couple weeks. I was in so much pain when I left and needed pain medication. I missed work for over a week so she got me back in, I had already paid her a substantial amount. Well my tooth was cracked, she had to pull it. I never got a root canal and then I ended up with a bill for $398 months later mind your she told me they owed me! I was confused and the receptionist argued with me. I'm so upset as they now reported this to collections and I should be suing this practice. Which I will now be looking into options. Mind you the woman on the phone said not to cal my insurance about it? She said I would be in trouble if I spent the money. I gave it to Valerie Preston! I'm so upset what a joke!!!!! Horrible experience! Crooked as they come!
