Dr. Ted Vossers was born in Grove City, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Erie, PA. He graduated from Iroquois High School as valedictorian. In 1982, Dr. Vossers received his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Grove City College, where he was named the most outstanding engineering graduate.
He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1986 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and finished first in his class. Dr. Vossers continued on at UNC for his orthodontic residency and earned his Master of Science in orthodontics in 1988. He won the UNC Orthodontic Alumni Associations Award for orthodontic research in 1988.
Aboard-certified orthodontist with more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Vossers understands the importance of providing the best, most up-to-date orthodontic treatment. He takes continuing education courses on the latest technology and advances in orthodontic treatment, including digital scanning and radiography, Invisalign treatment, and In-Ovation self-ligating technology.
Dr. Vossers has lived in Burlington since 1989. He and his wife Anne have two children: Sarah is a dental student at ECU and John is a computer engineering major at UNC-Charlotte. The family also has two cats, Louie and Napoleon. When hes not in the office, Dr. Vossers enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, long walks in the evening, and reading.

Jan is our receptionist and has been a part of the orthodontic team here since the end of 2000. She enjoys meeting new people and being an essential part of the process of achieving beautiful smiles for all our patients.
Vickie has been in the dental field for more than 35 years and has worked as an orthodontic assistant with Dr. Vossers since he opened his practice in 1989. She enjoys helping to take care of our patients and seeing how we can obtain a great orthodontic result together. Vickie also does lab work: She makes our retainers and orthodontic models.
Tonya did a clinical rotation in our office in 2002 while getting her training at assisting school. After that positive experience, she joined our team right after graduation. Tonya enjoys taking care of our patients and helps provide a fun atmosphere in the office.
Kiara started with Dr. Vossers in 2017 after graduating from Alamance Community College in 2015.On the job, Kiara greets patients, uses the iTero machine to perform scans, and acts as chairside assistant to the doctor while heworks withpatients.Her favorite part of thejob is educating patients on their different treatmentoptions and helping them make informed decisions while at the office.
Yadira graduated from ACCs dental assisting program in 2018 and joined our office shortly after. She loves seeing the way people love their smile after going through treatment. Though she has only been with us a short time, Yadira already feels like part of the family. She works hard to keep things running smoothly and is always there to help when shes needed.
After work, Yadira loves to go to the gym or go for a run when the weather allows it. She also enjoys hanging out on the weekend with her friends and cousins, hiking, going to the beach, and watching movies.
Shamia attended Alamance Community College, graduated in 2002, and joined our office in 2018. She assists Dr. Vossers with braces placement, changes archwires, and takes impressions. Shamia loves everything about her job, but most of all, working as a team.
Our patients are our top priority and the reason we are here. Dr. Vossersand our teamwork hard to improve and maintain the health and appearance of the wonderful smiles we treat. We warmly welcome patients of all ages and their families to our practice.
