My 2 year old daughter hit her tooth at school and Volunteer Pediatric Dentistry worked really hard to fit her in the same day. The receptionist took a late lunch to let us come in at 12:30 to fill out our paperwork. She was seen very quickly, received an x-ray and a consultation from Dr. Esker in about 30 minutes. Everybody was extremely friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend them to anyone!

They have exceeded expectations for both of my childrens dental care, everyone in the office is friendly and my childrens smiles are as beautiful as ever! They are extremely patient because we transferred offices and were behind on dental work with my oldest, fortunately we got everything fixed within a few months. The office atmosphere is perfect for the kids and we love the TVs and can't forget their favorite part... the toys and toothbrushes!! Thank you all for great dental care!

My son had his teeth cleaned here and he said the hygienist who cleaned them was really rough and rude. My wife was the one who took him so I asked her when she got home from work and she confirmed that she was rude. The dentist was nice but for a pediatric hygienist to treat her patients so rudely and rough is unacceptable. I tried calling to talk to an office manager and receptionist told me he was gone for the day and would probably call me back tomorrow. 10 minutes later Receptionist calls me back and says "I text him and he wanted me to call you back to see what you needed...." What I needed is exactly what I asked for... for a manager to call me back. Manager can't even take the time to return a call and had the receptionist try and deal with it. Rude and very unprofessional. We'll be moving somewhere else that can treat patients and parents with a little respect.

VPD is the best pediatric dental office around. My kids love going to the dentist! The staff is kind, patient, and gentle. We have nothing negative to say after many visits!

They are So Gentile and Caring treated my Grandson Bryson with the Best Care Today on short notice. What a Blessing because He was a bit nervous and They Helped Him through a 2 little teeth extraction. Was a very Good Experience!!!!! Highly Recommend Them as Your Pediatric Dentist.... We love the office and staff. Have seen both doctors and they are great. Would highly recommend them to anyone with kids. They know how to make anxious kids happy and to love the dentist.

What I am writing about in this negative review is something I hope other parents never have to experience. After many successful visits to this office in Powell, my son had an awful experience with one technician. The experience was so bad we had to discontinue his visit. My son experienced an anxiety attack once he was assigned to the room where his check-up was to be held. My wife had taken both of our children to the dentist's office that day and decided to stay with my daughter in her room, which meant that my son was unattended by a parent at the start of his appointment. The technician handled the situation poorly and made him feel terrible, all while he's suffering an attack. My wife was eventually called to the room to try or help him calm. She asked the technician if she could accommodate my son by adjusting the chair slightly rather than forcing his head back immediately. The technician snapped at my wife and said that she would do only what she intended to do and if he could not "relax," then the appointment would end. If you've ever had a child suffer an anxiety attack, you likely know this is not the approach to help the situation. My wife left the office after my daughter's appointment had finished, feeling terrible about herself and the experience. She called me at work in tears. While on the phone, my son was asking my wife if "Santa had seen that and would then put him on the naughty list" for Christmas. All because of this visit. I called the office. I explained that my son just had a very poor experience at this office and mentioned what had happened. The individual who answered the phone said that "she wasn't back there so she didn't know what happened but she did know this technician had 30 years of experience" working with children. I told her that I would like a follow-up phone call because, if this happened as it was explained to me, neither of my children would return to this office. She got further defensive and said she would pass along my complaint. No one from the office called me back. When we called recently to request dental records for both children, so we can take them to another dentist, there was no concern or recollection of this incident being documented. It's a shame because the dentists here are great. I'm not subjecting my kids to a bully, or even the possibility of having to work with a bully, because of how bad this experience was handled. I hope though that 30 years of experience comes with an opportunity to learn modern needs of children... not like those that were practiced 30 years ago. Updated to add: it took three attempts to get them to send my children's dental records to a different dental office in town. Three attempts... something isn't right.

I rarely am one to leave a review, negative at that...however I am just relieved that I have switched my Dental Insurance for the 22 year! Hallelujah!!! this place's scheduling system how inconvenient, and to be the only pediatric provider for the prior insurance is such a joke!!!

Have tried making an appointment to their location in Powell twice now with no success. Have been told to send paperwork via email due to COVID and have with no response. When I got around to trying to reach out to them again I was handed off to a woman in the scheduling dept I'm guessing whom insisted that she called me back even though I told her I never received a call and she told me she threw away my paperwork. My paperwork was emailed to your company email, if you looked for it then it would be there but you have just told me you tossed it and I need to do it again and with unneeded attitude. I will take my business elsewhere, I recommend make your scheduling simplified or get someone who wants to make money scheduling your appointments.

Called to make an appointment bc they are in my network.. Who ever is answering the phone was incredibly rude. Not to mention they make u print out and send back paper work which is completely wild and booking months out. Ill go else where.

RUDE AND UNCARING!! I called to have my son set up FOR A NEW PATIENT appointment because he's having pain in his mouth and he's 8 years old, she said they're not going to be able to schedule an appointment until November and I asked her if she knew anywhere else I might be able to go and she said she's not able to speak for other offices... That's a bit rude and uncaring when you have new patients not being able to be seen until November....... Very uncaring of this lady.....

Nope thank you I will be taking my business to someone who is more kind!
