Vivid Orthodonticsformerly Burbey Orthodonticshas long been a leader in the Fox Valley orthodontics arena. We use traditional braces, clear aligners and a variety of other advanced orthodontic treatments to help patients, ranging from children to retirees, look and feel their bestand live their life to the fullest.
Every day at Vivid Orthodontics poses new challenges and experiences, which allows me to continue to learn and grow as an Orthodontic Assistant. Outside of work, you can find me attached at the hip to my French Bulldog, Remington, coaching toddlers on how to play soccer, or baking something sweet!
I love getting to know patients and watching their smiles transform! When I am away from work, I enjoy spending time at our family cottage with my husband, two daughters and dog. I also love to shop and hang out with friends!
As the Scheduling Coordinator, I meet all the new families and develop friendships along the way. My family and I live in Kimberly, and I keep busy as a taxi driver for our four children. I also enjoy attending sporting events and spending time with friends and family.
I love being able to help and watch patients smiles transform. When I am not in the office, I love to spend time with my husband, two daughters and our three shih-poo pups. I can often be found outdoors, camping, biking, drinking a great cup of coffee or huddled up having family movie night. I hope to meet you soon!
Working in the lab, I may be behind the scenes, but I still enjoy meeting patients. I love to see their beautiful, healthy smiles when braces come off. My husband, Bob, and I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family. We absolutely love being Papa and Grammy to Bodie and Rylee Mae!
Dr. Brian Michel is a Wisconsin native with a passion for improving teeth, health and confidence through the field of orthodontics. He doesnt just fix teeth he loves helping you live free and love your life here in the Appleton area.
Outside the office, Dr. Brian can be found acting and singing in local theater productions, running, fishing, cheering on Wisconsin sports teams (Go Pack Go!), and planning his upcoming wedding with his fianc, Kate.
Dr. Brian is passionate about people and aims to treat every patient like a family member. He is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest orthodontic technology and techniques by regularly attending continuing education courses and participating in study clubs. He believes that utilizing modern advancements in the field of orthodontics will translate into a comfortable and efficient treatment experience for his patients. As a former orthodontic patient, he knows firsthand the transformative power of orthodontic treatment and is honored to be able to pay it forward by helping patients achieve a smile for which they can proud.

Everyone at Vivid was super nice and made my daughter comfortable at her first appointment...even excited oddly enough. She was really wanting invisalign and NOT excited about potentially needing actual braces before we went in but with her overbite and crowding she does need braces and she loved the doctor and staff and was excited about picking out rubber band colors too. I appreciated the multiple interest free payment plans, I wish I didn't have to pay such a big chunk for the first payment but the monthly payments will be helpful for the rest of the balance.

Had our first consult yesterday with Julie and Dr Brian..explained everything in great detail and what to expect next. My daughter is looking forward to getting her braces in a couple weeks!

My son enjoys coming to both the Oshkosh and Appleton locations. Every staff member we have seen has been friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The staff understands busy schedules and are kind and patient in making appointments and changes as needed. Doctors and assistants explain and show treatment plan thoroughly and never have seemed in a hurry when answering questions. The trivia contests are fun to try, though we rarely have had enough wait time to complete them! Excellent service...people we trust. We love to recommend Sawyer Creek/Vivid Orthodontics to others! -Amy

I feel everyone that we worked with was really reassuring, pleasant, and easy to ask questions to. I had brought in my kids based on a referral, so I was feeling pretty lost and worried when I entered, but I feel confident in the plans they helped us make to help my kids.

Everyone is always friendly. I'm never anxious about my appointments. For someone who typically has a fear of dental visits, this is a perfect place because they do such an amazing job at putting you at ease.

This is an amazing orthodontist building, sure I'm only leaving a review for the contest but still it's a really quality building, this is where I got my first and second pair of braces. 10/10 would recommend

Very welcoming and friendly staff. My son was quite nervous about his initial consultation, but they explained everything to him ahead of time and made him feel very comfortable and not as scared.

I had braces when I was younger and I wasn't fully satisfied with the way my teeth looked, so I came back to see Dr. Brian for the first time and I could not be more happy that I did. He, and all of the rest of the staff, was so amazing. I had seen three other orthodontists before him and all of them just said to keep wearing my retainers and sent me home. Dr. Brian listened to my concerns, and told me how he planned to fix them. After a few weeks of aligners, I am so so happy with the way my teeth look. Everything went so smoothly and the cost was beyond affordable. Everything exceeded my expectations and all I can say is I can not speak highly enough about Vivid. Besides the results, I just felt so cared for there. I'm so happy. Go see them!
