Dr. Janet Oyeledun, a Montgomery County native, received her undergraduate degree in bio-behavioral health from The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. Dr. Oyeledun then continued to the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following dental school, Dr. Oyeledun completed a post-graduate residency program in general dentistry at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, New York, where she completed countless hours in emergency dental care, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, pedodontics, general anesthesia and hospital dentistry.
Dr. Oyeledun, a behaviorist by training, has a true passion for public health, specifically improving access to quality healthcare. She has participated in several Mission of Mercy programs, providing free dental care to underprivileged populations, and has traveled to the Dominican Republic where she provided oral healthcare to school children with limited access to dental care. She dedicates her practice to motivating patients on behavioral change, following the Health Behavior Model to promote maximum oral health, while providing a relaxing atmosphere suitable for patients of all ages.
Dr. Oyeledun is a distinguished member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the National Dental Association. Dr. Oyeledun is currently in the process of obtaining her fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a title that is held by only 6% of practicing dentists. Dr. Oyeledun is a certified Invisalign provider and has obtained her certification in Oral Health Leadership and Education from the Academy of Academic Leadership. She is also one of the few certified providers for Oral Rapid HIV Testing and Counseling. Dr. Oyeledun holds a certificate from the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation (DOCS), as well as certification in botulinum toxin and dermal filler injectables. She dedicates a good portion of her practice to cosmetic and facial aesthetics.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Oyeledun enjoys spending time with her husband, her spirited 1-year-old son, and family and friends. Dr. Oyeledun is a huge travel fan, loves interior design and is a very active alum of her all girls boarding school. Dr. Oyeledun loves cooking and collecting exotic spices from all around the world. You may recognize Dr. Oyeledun, as she has also made guest appearances on a television show!
Dr. Dayo Ogunnaike was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. She is one of four dentists in her family with more on the way! She attended the University of Maryland in College Park for her undergraduate studies and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy with a concentration in communications and linguistics. Her intentions were to attend law school. As an undergrad student, Dr. Ogunnaike earned money as a beautician and cosmetologist. She obtained a cosmetology license as an apprentice in a salon and barbershop. While receiving orthodontic treatment, she found another way in which she could incorporate her love for beauty and aesthetics in the medical field. This is also when she discovered her deep interest in oral health and hygiene, so she deferred her admissions to law school and secretly pursued dentistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Marylands School of Dentistry, which happens to be the very first dental school in the world!
While in dental school, Dr. Ogunnaike became an Albert Schweitzer fellow and has committed her career to addressing the oral health care needs of underserviced communities and populations. She continues to participate, volunteer and commit her time to community service activities that promote oral, mental, and physical health and beauty. Holding a dental license in the state of Maryland and in Washington D.C. allows her to service a wide and diverse population of patients.
She is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Maryland State Dental Association, and she is pursuing her fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Ogunnaike is a certified Invisalign provider, and she is also certified in botulinum toxin and dermal filler injectables, which is another way in which she loves to combine cosmetology and dentistry.
Dr. Ogunnaike loves spending time with her daughter, traveling, cooking, attending family events, styling hair, sewing, and working on DIY projects and arts and crafts. Dr. Ogunnaike and her husband are also big drag racing and Formula 1 fans. They attend national drag racing events around the country. Dr. Ogunnaike and her husband attend at least one Formula 1 race a year in different countries around the world!

Vive Dental ... where do I start, I had such an amazing experience. It all started with my 1st phone call when scheduling my appt. I spoke to Dr. Janet, loved her energy and something told me that I was going to love the service as well. She educated me on different services that may interest me outside of my cleaning and I honestly felt like I had to meet her in person. Not often that you call a business and get to talk directly to a doctor/dentist so that was a plus within itself. When I arrived I honestly fell in love. First of all it's such a clean office and it smells good too. I got to meet Dr. Dayo who I actually scheduled a cleaning with and fell in love with her as well. I have really senetive teeth and she took her time, explained what she was doing all while making sure I was comfortable. Yes sometimes a cleaning is painful for me. They also gave me a credit because I was referred so make sure you book your appt and refer someone because you both get a credit. Every little bit helps. I also love the Chevy Chase area and it is very convenient to the Metro. I left out feeling better than I arrived. I know this review is probably supposed to be about my dental work experience but personality and a kind heart goes a long way and I received all of that at my appt along with sparkling teeth. I can't wait to return and I highly recommend Vive Dental. The only thing I have an issue with is that I can't give 10 stars because they deserve that and more. Vive Dental thank you for your services. I will be returning.

Some people don't understand what it means to take care of your customers. Not physically but also emotionally. But I must say Vive Dental Day Spa has it down to a science. To the moment you sit in the lobby until you sit in the dental chair. I have always felt the love and also felt the care and understanding of the Vive Dental staff. They make the experience feel like no other. I would always recommend them to anyone who needs dental services because they are the best hands down. Please make your appointment ASAP.

Dr Janet and her sister Dr Dayo are absolutely amazing!!! After years of putting off a wisdom tooth removal surgery, the pain was too much, and I had to come in. After neglecting this and my oral health, things were more serious. I had an infection, and had to get three teeth removed, three wisdom teeth extracted, three dental implants, bone grafts, etc. quite an extensive procedure. I'm very anxious about going to the dentist, as most are. I was scared, and emotional. Both doctors truly took the time to reassure me everything was going to be ok. They were both beyond helpful aiding in financing options, and literally held my hand every step of the way. They ensured I was as comfortable as possible, and told me how great I was doing all throughout the surgery. I would not have been able to get through this without these ladies. I am forever grateful .

I couldn't be happier with my past two appointments at Vive Dental Day Spa. As a new patient, both Laura and Dr. Dayo put me completely at ease...not an easy feat considering I am one of those types who fear going to the dentist. They made sure that I understood everything they were doing and it was totally painless. So glad I found this wonderful practice and I adore the entire team.

Vive Dental Day Spa is absolutely amazing! They were very kind, pleasant and made sure I was comfortable throughout my time there. After looking for a second opinion on a dental implant I decide to get my dental needs taking care of here because they were honest and looking to help me make the best decision possible. My experience at Vive was great! Laura and Dr. Dayo both made me feel welcome and comfortable. I was seen immediately which is very important for my tight schedule. My former dentist was 4 minutes from my house but the quality of care at Vive was definitely worth my 40 minute drive.

I had the best experience getting my teeth cleaned. Dr. Dayo was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She thoroughly answered my questions and was able to offer some tips to help address my concerns.
