We consider our office to be our second family and your experience as part of our family is so important to us. We do all we can to make your experience in our office as fun, positive and enjoyable as possible.
Opposed to traditional brackets held in place by rubber ties, the Damon Bracket System is designed with a slide mechanism that attaches wires to brackets. With traditional braces, creating space and developing arch form often requires bulky headgear and uncomfortable expanders, and at times even extraction of teeth. The Damon System approach uses light, biologically-sensible forces to develop beautiful natural arches, in most cases without the need for expanders or extractions.
Following dental school Dr. Vitkus completed additional post-graduate training in orthodontics, making her a specialist in the field. In our office we focus solely on orthodontic treatment so we can provide you with most effective, efficient orthodontic care.
We offer flexible in-office financing interest free, and will work with you to develop a payment plan that best fits your needs. In addition, we accept most insurance plans and will verify and file your insurance for you as a courtesy.
Communication is key. We pride ourselves on having excellent communication with both our patients and our patients other doctors. You and your family will be given continual updates on the progress of your treatment, and we will always help coordinate care between you and your family dentist.
No two mouths are exactly the same, so it is very important to us that each patient is treated according to their individual needs. Working together to meet all your needs is one of our primary goals.
I love being an orthodontist I love being able to help people develop a beautiful smile and I love seeing how a beautiful smile truly can change ones life. I received my degree in civil engineering prior to attending dental school, and decided to pursue a career in orthodontics as I found it allowed me to combine the mechanics of engineering with the attention to detail of dentistry. Orthodontics allows me to be an engineer of the mouth if you will.
As a native of the Finger Lakes region, Im thrilled to be back living and working in this beautiful area. In addition to developing beautiful smiles, an equally enjoyable part of my day is getting to know all of our wonderful patients. Here in the office we strive each day to make the orthodontic experience as pleasant and enjoyable as possible, and we hope you find our office atmosphere to be just that.

Dr. Vitkus grew up not to far away in Skaneateles, New York. She attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island where she majored in Civil Engineering. At Brown, Dr. Vitkus was a standout on the lacrosse fieldshe served as captain of the Brown Division I Womens Lacrosse team and was awarded All-Ivy and All-American honors. She attended dental school at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where she served as Buffalo American Student Dental Association President. She graduated top of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. Following dental school, Dr. V did an additional residency where she studied exclusively orthodontics, making her a specialist in this field. Dr. V obtained her orthodontic certificate from the prestigious Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester, New York, while concurrently working to receive her Masters Degree in Dental Science from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She belongs to the New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), American Dental Association (ADA), Northeastern Society of Orthodontists (NESO) and American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and currently serves on both NESOs Communications Committee and the AAO Council on Communications. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, skiing, cooking, running, coaching and spending time with her family, friends and fianc Tim, who is also an orthodontist.

Exciting , easier and even quicker transition than I had thought possible! Excellent staff- always punctual and positive (fun). They clearly explain the process, steps and expectations throughout the course of treatments - and always encouraged questions or concerns. Actually they even customized the appointments to fit around my schedule due to being retired and vacationing south that year. An investment for my oral health and care due to shifting teeth and issues even flossing but the resulting alignment is so much more symmetrical and comfortable with eating. ( Looks so much nicer too!) I would highly recommend Vitkus Orthodontics no matter one's age - a great experience with impressive results.

Words are inadequate to capture the care and expertise found with Vitkus Orthodontics. At every turn, there is tremendous attention to the environment and patient experience. Dr. Vitkus is brilliant and takes the time, very patiently, to convey in accessible terms what families need to know in order to make informed and confident decisions. I cannot say enough good things about Vitkus Orthodontics. I have zero experience with an orthodontist and was unsure of what to expect. But, from the moment we walked in and were greeted with friendly smiles and welcoming vibes, any anxiety was quelled. Dr. Vitkus' vast knowledge and expertise is matched by her bedside manner. The entire staff has been consistently calm, comforting and kind. If that wasn't enough, they are exceptionally accommodating. Busted bracket? Lost retainer? Moved teeth? Not to worry! They will take care of you and your family-with a smile.

Vitkus Orthodontics was fantastic from start to finish. My son needed orthdotics about a year and a half ago. I got three opinions from 3 people local to the Waterloo Geneva area. I knew I wanted a professional Orthodontist and not a dentist to do the work. One place I went had all kinds of bells ans whistles, but I felt uncomfortable and pressured. Then we went for a consult at Vitkus Orthodontics. I chose Dr Vitkus because it just felt right. The office is nice, calming colors, not ovwrwhelming. Pre Covid there were healthy snack options, water and coffee. You were greated at the door, by Annie (who is also awesome) or other staff. My son is sensitive to different textures and stimuli sometimes. He also isn't fond of people being up close and personal, even a Dr! Neither am i to be honest. I expressed my concerns right away and Dr Vitkus and staff worked with me to make sure he was comfortable. One of the assistants Jen is phenomenal. She made my son comfortable from Day 1. She got him to laugh and talk at every visit. That is a hard job with a teenage boy! There are some new faces at the office now and everyone we have been in contact with has been so polite and patience that they seem to be great additions. The staff is always professional and the office CLEAN! In A COVID world i appreciated this so much! They are definitly taking steps to keep everyone safe! Braces are expensive and Vitkus Orthodontics has in house finance options if needed and they worked with our dental benefit through a union hall. Not everyone takes that plan! My son is out of his braces and I am so thankful we took that journey with Dr. Vitkus, Jen and all the other staff! We will miss seeing you, The child's teeth look amazing!!!

My experience with Vitkus Orthodontics over the past 2 years has been wonderful. I needed Invisalign to reposition my teeth after a serious jaw injury, and Dr. Vitkus and her team were extremely compassionate and professional from day 1 through my final appointment today. I am very happy with the results of my orthodontic treatment, and with the way I was personally treated by the Vitkus team. I would highly recommend Dr. Vitkus to adults and children alike - you will not be disappointed!
