In 2015, Drs. Shaftel and Jordan were bestowed the Fellowship Award by the Academy of General Dentistry which is the most recognized distinction in dentistry and a symbol of excellence in the profession. This award is presented to dentists who continue to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current on the latest diagnoses, procedures and technological advancements in their profession. As Fellowship Award recipients, Drs. Shaftel and Jordan join only 4% of the nations dentists and specialists in receiving this honor. Vita Dental is now the only dental practice in Ohio to have two Fellowship awardees practicing together.
Dr. Andrew Jordan attended Xavier University where he earned his degree in Biology. Upon graduation, he attended The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he was the only dentist in his class to complete the demanding program for IV conscious sedation. During his fourth year, Dr. Jordan spent a month at the Medical College of Virginia on an oral surgery externship where he gained further experience in the extraction of difficult teeth as well as the placement and restoration of dental implants. As a result of this enhanced experience, Dr.Jordan was awarded the Pre-Doctoral Achievement Award by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Most recently, Dr. Jordan earned the honored distinction of being named a Fellow in the American Academy of General Dentistry. In May 2016 Dr. Jordan earned the honor of being named as one of the nations Top 40 Dentists Under 40 by Incisal Edge magazine. He was nominated and selected by a group of industry experts across the country and then vetted by an independent panel of dentists and specialists.
Outside the office, Dr. Jordan is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys camping, hiking, skiing, golfing, tennis and marathon running, having participated in numerous events including the world-renowned Boston Marathon. Dr. Jordan lives in Cincinnati with his wife, Liz, and their two sons.
Dr. Aaron Shaftel received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Dental Surgery degrees from The Ohio State University. After graduating, Dr. Shaftel sought expanded education in more complex dental procedures and was accepted into the University Hospital AEGD Residency Program. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Shaftel entered private practice. He has pursued numerous continuing education hours in the subeld of dental sleep medicine and has earned the distinct honor of being named a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. In May 2016 Dr. Shaftel earned the honor of being named as one of the nations Top 40 Dentists Under 40 by Incisal Edge magazine. He was nominated and selected by a group of industry experts across the country and then vetted by an independent panel of dentists and specialists. Dr. Shaftel is a member of The American Dental Association, The Ohio Dental Association, The Cincinnati Dental Society, The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, The Seattle Study Club and The Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Shaftel is married to his wife, Jennifer, and together they have two sons and a rescue dog. In his spare time Dr. Shaftel has a passion for athletics, particularly Ohio State football, and assists in coaching the Sycamore High School Mens Lacrosse Team.

This place is amazing, first off they took me in the SAME day to get my tooth fixed, second their pricing is phenomenal I was expecting to pay a leg and an arm for something so simple yet I understand the medical field. They were so quick and friendly I felt like they really care for their patients, all staff members from reception, to the dental assistant to the dentist we're all amazing! I have recommended family and friends to go here from now on! Oh! And their decor is so Cozy and comfy I really enjoyed being there! Highly recommend them!

I need a lot of work on my teeth and I was a little embarrassed to get started. Vita made me feel at ease right away. From check-in to cleaning to meeting with the dentist to check out was a great experience. They came highly recommended to me and it didn't take long for me to see why. I look forward to getting my teeth in better shape with Vita. Thank you for treating me like a person and not a customer.

I had my first visit yesterday. I'd been going to the same dentist my whole life in my hometown, but it was time to find one here in Cincy. I was recommended by a friend. Got an appointment within a few weeks. A fantastic experience. Couldn't be more pleased with my time in the office from walking in to walking out.

A great facility with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Speaking as someone who has never been a fan of going to the dentist, I am solidly impressed by how much effort they put into their service to make the patient feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend Vita Dental to friends/family.

I moved back to Cincy and came back to my old dentist 6 years later. I have to say, it's just as friendly, comfortable, and welcoming as it was when I was here in 2015. I see Dr Jordan who is very personable. And I had Jordanne(?) as my hygienist. Easy to talk to. Overall great dentist office! Can't think of one complaint. P.s. Thanks Meagan for the daily floss reminders

I can't say enough about this practice! It is hard to get in as a new patient, but it is worth the wait. I mean that. I went here years ago and ended up somewhere else for a little while. Disappointed with their care after having experienced such expertise, I sought out Vita once again. Their dental hygienists are off the charts amazing. They are not at all wreckless in your mouth! They are incredibly accommodating and skilled at their craft. The doctor does excellent work too, of course, But what really stands out is how amazing the office staff and hygienists are. It would be enough for them to just do excellent work, but this practice truly goes the extra mile. I am comfortable, calm, and confident in the treatment I receive in their care. Try it! You won't want to look back once you see how good it can be.

Receiving the best teeth cleaning of my life aside, I don't think I lasted more than 3 minutes without commenting or complimenting the borderline surreal quality of care that Vita Dental provides. From the moment I walked in the door, to x-rays, to checking up on me during my cleaning, all the way to the 10 minute conversation as I was checking out. If there's one thing to take away from what I'm saying, it's this; These. People. Rock. Do yourself (and probably your weird aunt) a favor and switch dentists. I'm officially "lame" because I'm genuinely excited that I did.

Consistency is such a an critical indicator of proven success. Megan, Laura, Carla, & Shelby at the front desk are always helpful, greet you with a smile, and especially the clear explanation of insurance coverage for treatment. Tracy cleaned my son's teeth today and she was explaining and demonstrating the importance of brushing his gums due to having braces and not having cavities when they come off. Dr. Jordan was engaging and pleasant with my son asking about his activities. He even took the time to look at my other son's xray's from an orthodontist and helped squeeze him in prior to the holidays. Overall it's a great place and highly recommend it. After losing my dentist of 25 years to retirement, I was searching for a new dentist that was high-tech, local, and most of all caring and sensitive to my needs. Vita Dental, from the moment you walk in until you leave, is absolutely the best medical practice I have ever experienced. They are incredibly thorough, and even caught some things that my previous dentist had missed. They recommend treatments, but are honest and patient with all of your questions. Also, I am self-employed and had carried my own dental insurance for several years without much benefit. They have comprehensive treatment plans that cover multiple visits, x-rays, cleanings and heavily discounted treatments for any problems that arise. I couldn't recommend them more to anyone searching for a new dentist, or simply looking for more personal attention to their dental needs.

Not only was my waiting time at a minimum but my procedure was performed painlessly by Dr. Shaftel. His efda, Kelly made sure i was comfortable and very welll taken care of during my visit. I recommend anyone to come to see Dr Shaftel or Dr Jordan for any of your dental needs!
