Can you really feel relaxed during a dental visit? At Vista Smiles we may be able to help. We know dental visits can be stressful, which is why we offer several services that make them a more pleasant experience. Ask for a set of noise-canceling headphones to enjoy some music, a lavendar-scented towel after your visit, or for our more apprehensive patients, ask about a variety of offered sedation options.

Vista Smiles believes that everyone deserves a beautiful, healthy smile. To help make this possible for our patients, we have several financial options available to choose from. We are happy to accept a wide variety of insurance plans, and no interest financing is available through Care Credit (upon approval). We also accept all major credit cards.
Dr. Phillips was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia where he received a B.A. in biology, and D.D.S. in dentistry from West Virginia University. After graduating from dental school, he earned a three-year, post-doctoral masters degree in prosthodontics from The Ohio State University. Dr. Phillips practiced dentistry in Kentucky and Pennsylvania before accepting a position with Vista Smiles. He appreciates, through personal experience, the difference a dentist makes in the lives of patients in improving their health, appearance, self-confidence and overall quality of life.
Dr. Phillips enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Claire and newborn baby girl Kendall. He also enjoys tennis, reading, cycling, painting, sculpting and learning about advances in technology. He has always loved the State of South Carolina and is excited to make Columbia his home.
Dr. Bell is a graduate and former instructor of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine and a former president of the Palmetto Medical, Dental & Pharmaceutical Association. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, National Dental Association & South Carolina Dental Association.
Dr. Bell serves on the advisory board for the Midlands Technical College and the Richland School District 1 Dental Committee. She also volunteers her time at the HOPE Health Corps and the Richland Couny Children's Clinic.
I have had the pleasure to have been under the care of Dr. Benita Bell for 3 or more years. I must say that I have never felt so genuinely cared for as a patient as I have with Dr. Bell as my primary dentist. Dr. Bell and her assistants have focused on my dental treatment plan as if I was their only patient. They are truly professional, caring and put my comfort at the forefront of any and every treatment. I would wholeheartedly recommend Vista Smiles and especially Dr. Bell and her team to anyone seeking dental treatment. Kudos to Dr. Bell and her assistants...Great job!

Wonderful practice! Their processes for moving patients through every phase, from signing in to checking out, minimize any waiting and ensure good communication between the entire group who assist with cleanings and treatments. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and caring.

The lady checking me in, the hygienist /assistant, the office worker that handles financial side...all the staff are stellar! I have procrastinated dental care for over a decade and am facing the repercussions now! On my first visit, the dentist laid out a matter of fact plan, and the assistant made sure that I was comfortable and relaxed...offering a drink and blanket...she helped manage my anxiety perfectly! I'm currently in the office on my third visit and I've noticed a pattern with the ladies at the front....they are kind, smiling and complimentary. They have greeted everyone that walks in the same way, like a friend! This isn't a spa, but for a dentist office, it's pretty close! And for anyone hesitant to go to the dentist and perusing reviews to try to get the nerve up to schedule (like I did a year ago), schedule the appt and get the laughing gas!

This was my first visit at Vista Smiles and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. I would like to thank the staff and Dr. Phillips for their warm welcomes, professionalism and hospitality. I didn't have to wait long for service, the aesthetics were beautiful, and the staff were so friendly. Special shout out to Jessica, Chancel and Crystal for making my visit memorable. 10/10 recommend!

Due to past trauma, my anxiety is crazy around going to the dentist. I've never felt more comfortable at an office than I did here. Dr. Phillips was kind, sincere, and didn't try to push cosmetic services. The staff was more than accommodating and fantastic. No one shamed me for the state of my teeth. I can really tell they truly care about my health.

If you are looking for a dentist look no further! The team at Vista SMILES is absolutely amazing!!! From setting the appointment all the way thru to check out was flawless. They have it TOGETHER! The office is a little hard to find but it's worth it. I'll try not to write a book but honestly speaking I have had horrible stories at every dental office until I stumbled upon this office. I felt heard and understood and for me that is MAJOR. Most dentists will tell you what they want to do and not hear what you're looking for HOWEVER, Dr. Wesley Phillips heard my request and made a plan that best fit me and my financial state. The office staff is kind and professional. The office is very tidy and clean AND their swag bags are the cutest!!! YES, they are the best Columbia has to offer. YES, they will work with your budget! YES, they take kids. YES, they take most insurances and YES, they have a referral program. Soooo do mention me, Sabrina M and thennn start making money on your own by referral all your friends and family. YOU won't be disappointed
