Dr. Ocampo was born and raised in Southern California. He received his bachelors degree in Nursing from Loma Linda University. He practiced as a registered nurse, working in neurosurgery, telemetry and trauma units for four years. While he enjoyed nursing, he wanted to pursue a higher degree of education. Dr. Ocampo then attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and graduated with his Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery. He has been a part of dental mission trips to Kenya, Nairobi, Mexico and the Philippines and describes these as some of the best moments in his life.
He is a person-oriented dentist who believes in treating all of his patients like family. He is committed to being caring, gentle and performing excellent high-quality dentistry. His passion ispreventativedentistry, and he is committed to staying current with new dental procedures and technologies.Dr. Ocampo loves being a part of Vista Dental Edinburg. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Ocampo and his wife enjoyliving in the Rio Grande Valley and are happy to be raising their two children in this community. When not practicing dentistry, the doctor enjoys spending time with his family and watching sports.

I'm terribly phobic when it comes to dentists...always have been. But, since going to Vista Dental and meeting Dr. OCampo, I have finally found a dentist that I actually go see for my 6-month check-ups. First time in my adult life! He has a very calm and friendly demeanor. His staff is very friendly and courteous. This has made a huge difference in maintaining my dental health. Wish I had found him years ago!!!

I've had nothing but great experiences at Vista Dental! I can call and ask them to fit me into their next open appointment when something is hurting. I get seen within 15 minutes after arrival. Assistants are the sweetest. Dr. Cordova is very kind and attentive and she thoroughly explains everything going on in your mouth - with pictures! Additionally, I had a less than great experience at a specialist she referred me to and she said she will keep that in mind for future patients. Great dentist, great dental work, highly recommend!

A twice a year tooth cleanse should not last 2.5 minutes, you won't get that here, docs take their time and kids walk out like they have a brand new mouth. Unlike those other big name dentist offices that tempt you with food, electric toothbrushes, and toys, Vista Dental instead provides exceptional teeth cleaning entire process is about 30minutes long. At age 9 and 10 no cavities yet!

The staff is very nice and helpful and very informative as well as the doctor excuse me the dentist he's very explainable and what's going on and what they're going to do and the working environment is very peaceful I highly recommend people to go see doctor Jerome ocampo.

Wow this was the best experience I've ever had with a dentist. If you don't have insurance, don't waste your money in Mexico. I went and had a bad filling done over there, pulled a tooth and was in major agony, bad bad bad. This place, they are super nice, reasonably priced and the service is top notch. He pulled a tooth and I didn't even feel it. Super impressed!
