Dr. William J. Cheng is a co-founder of Vision Dental. He served as a clinical faculty at UCLA School of dentistry from 2013-2018. His practice philosophy focuses on providing a patient-centered dental experience that blends new technology with time-proven techniques. An award-winning teacher at Kaplan Test Preparation, he completed his dental program, receiving both his DDS and MS degrees, in 2012.
Since 2008, he has worked with dentists from both USC and UCLA, blending the styles of both schools into his own. He has presented his research at IADR and AADR conferences around the world and published his research in the Journal of the California Dental Association in 2012.
Outside of dentistry, William, and his wife, Dr. Nicole Cheng, love to stay active outdoors, travel, and spend time with family and friends. Dr. Chengs hobbies include basketball, playing cards, building computers, video games, audio electronics, and working on cars.
Dr. Nicole Cheng is a board-certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Her practice is focused on the use of Braces and Invisalign. She was born and raised in Los Angeles and looks forward to contributing back to her community.
She is a Regular Member of the Edward H. Angle Society and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. These orthodontic institutions are based on the highest standards of clinical skill and knowledge. Members of both these establishments have an ongoing commitment to finishing cases to excellent standards.
Dr. Cheng holds the privilege of being in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, a unique distinction that represents the top of the dental profession. She is the author of peer-reviewed manuscripts published in Molecular Immunology, AIDS, Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, Journal of the California Dental Association, and the Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal. She received the Craniofacial Biology Group Award at the 2008 IADR conference and the Charley Schultz Award at the 2014 American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session.
Dr. Cheng believes in volunteering her time to give back to the local community and her alma mater. She is a part-time clinical faculty at UCLA teaching the orthodontic residents and is an orthodontist on the Cleft Team at Providence Saint Johns Hospital in Santa Monica. She strives to provide the highest level of care and will work closely with you to create a smile you can be proud of. In her spare time, she enjoys being active outdoors with her friends and family hiking, running and biking.
Dr. Andrew Huynh is a board-certified specialist in pediatric dentistry. As a Southern California native, he is excited to have the opportunity to serve the communities of Los Angeles and Santa Monica. During his dental training at UCLA, Dr. Huynh traveled to underserved areas of China and Honduras, taking part in dental mission trips to treat children and families with significant dental needs. With an appreciation of these unforgettable experiences, he was assured that a specialty in pediatric dentistry was the right path for him.
Dr. Huynh completed his pediatric dental residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine/Boston Childrens Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He has extensive experience in treating children from all backgrounds, including those with special healthcare needs and complex medical histories. His philosophy focuses on providing a positive impact on each childs dental health through fun and educational experiences at every visit! His gentle and personable demeanor puts children and parents at ease, as patient comfort is one of his top priorities. With a conservative approach combined with the latest research and technologies, Dr. Huynh hopes to provide the best treatment options for each child.
Dr. Huynh is a part-time pediatric dentistry faculty at UCLA, and he also serves as a pediatric dentist on the Cleft Palate Team at Providence Saint Johns Hospital in Santa Monica. When he is not working, you can find Dr. Andrew jogging around town, hanging at the beach, practicing martial arts, and spending quality time with his wife and family.
Dr. Rogelio Roger Garcia is the co-founder of Vision Dental. Dr. Garcia stays active and current in dentistry through his professional memberships in the Academy of Operative Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Garcia was raised in SoCal and has lived everywhere from the high desert to the Los Angeles area. He enjoys hiking, quadding, basketball, microbrewing, swimming, snorkeling, all things Bruin, and eating at local dives.

John Gonzalez, D.D.S., grew up in Malibu. He went to the University of California, Santa Barbara and dental school at the University of California, Los Angeles where he graduated in 1992. Growing up, Dr. Gonzalez enjoyed drawing, building many projects and learning how things worked. He had won several awards in high school for ceramics and spent time in college not only studying the sciences but also doing sculpting and participating in other art forms. Soon after graduation from UCLAs dental school, Dr. Gonzalez, felt comfortable going immediately into private practice.
Dr. Gonzalez always uses a simple, straightforward philosophy about doing good dentistry: It involves following established principles, using his gift for understanding how things work, applying an artistic imagination, having a gentle touch and most of all treating every patient with the utmost care. Patients are to be cared for, treated with respect and honesty. Dr. Gonzalez has teamed up with a select group of specialists who perform root canals, tooth extractions, implant placements, gingival tissue work, and other specialized procedures. These specialists share his integrity and commitment to excellence.
Our 3-year-old daughter had some complex dental issues, and we checked out other pediatric dentists before finally finding Dr. Andrew at Vision Dental. From the start, he made us feel more comfortable than ever, as he explained my daughters situation thoroughly and reviewed our options. When it came time for her procedures, he was very gentle and kept our daughter (and us) calm. He takes a conservative approach and treats only what is necessary, which is what we were looking for. Before my daughter was fearful of the dentist, but now she cant wait to visit Dr. Andrew and his team! Couldn't have asked for any better dentists. The office is pristine and has the newest tech. Everyone is extremely nice and we love our dentists. Flat screen Tvs on the ceiling are a plus also.

I've been coming here for over 3 years now and have really appreciated all the work Dr. Cheng and his team have done for my dental health. Highly recommend them and they are extremely flexible, accept out of network dental insurance and have openings on weekends.

This review is about Chris Stranburg and unethical business practices. With that said, last year I moved to LA and needed a new dentist. I brought all of my dental history with me and the receptionist found me a spot with Stranburg that day. Although I had brought X-Rays from my old office in Chicago that were recent (1 month old) Stranburg insisted on doing additional X-rays at that appointment. Let me tell you...they take A LOT of X-rays. Also, I am self-pay/full-pay no insurance here. No cavities were found at the time. At the next appointment 6 months later, he again pestered me for X-Rays. I will admit, I do have prior cavities. Have not had one in 5 years, however and I am informed, educated, and again, self/full pay. I do not want the radiation that comes from unnecessary X-rays. I explained this and he backed off. I went back today for my 1 year appointment. The hygienist immediately began trying to take X-rays when I explained I had JUST had a very full set with the office 1 year ago and did not want them done. Instead of greeting me as a normal customer, Dr. Stranburg rudely confronted me and insisted that I do the X-Rays or leave. I felt extremely uncomfortable. I again explained that I did have any cavities/no trouble spots at the last 2 visits. I did not want the radiation. I am also not sure why someone didn't call me prior to this appointment if this was such a sticking point, as I would've found a new dentist. He was acting very bizarre and confrontational, and in thinking about it, it all makes sense. The first set of X-Rays was several hundred dollars. I guess he thought he would be getting that every six months from me.... He wasted my time, and it's clear what he is after. Also, my husband was doing his check up prior to mine when I asked the receptionist to check in with him regarding picking up our child from school. She basically barraged in front of me and told me I can't go into the examination room while a cleaning is being done. I'm not sure what is going on beyond closed doors at this establishment, but it gives me an extremely weird feeling. Planning on reporting them to the BBB among other agencies. Never give bad reviews, but as a customer I would really have appreciated reading something like this.

Oh My stars , I absolutely give my Vision Dental experience , all of the stars and more! I had let things go for way too long with my teeth and I had built up so much anxiety to the entire ordeal. I finally decided I was going to find the absolute best of the best, because then it wouldn't be so scary. I called several and checked out hundreds it felt like. I didn't feel like any single one of them had the full package. I then got a call back from Vision Dental and they spent a good 20 minutes on the phone with me, learning my situation all around. My pain and where it was, the financial situation I was in, and they were so sincerely and absolutely incredibly kind. To find sincere kindness and companies that truly seem like we aren't just another dollar bill, is impossible I feel like. Vision Dental goes way beyond the mark of excellence, in every single category that you want and need your dentistry to be beyond the mark in. They have the most advanced equipment, and it is wicked pristine and so beautiful. The comfort level is incredible, and their bedside manner is everything and more. I had Dr.Rogelio Garcia and he was INCREDIBLE. He truly loves his job and truly cares about his patients. He gave me several different options and was completely honest and not trying to hustle for the dollar bill. He was truly the absolute best and I will definitely be going to vision dental forever. There is not one thing that I could say bad about this company. They are what companies need to strive to be . KIND GENUINE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE THAT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE AND ESPECIALLY THEIR PATIENTS> Thank you vision dental! You guys is the grooviest! Vision Dental on Montana is the best. Chris Strandburg and Marissa are the dream team! Chris is quite simply the best dentist I have ever encountered. I love the office and it even has parking.

I started taking my son to Dr. Huynh right before his first birthday. As you can imagine, taking a baby/toddler to the dentist can be scary (for the adult and the child!) but Dr. Huynh's relaxed and friendly disposition made the process easy and painless. The office is clean and modern and they send reminders via email and text which is critical if you suffer from "Mom brain" like I do. I am also a patient at Vision Dental which makes it super convenient to schedule appointments for the whole family on the same day.
