Since 1989, our office has been serving the Capital district area of New York with quality dental care. Dr. Virjee graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1987, and established a dental office with emphasis to provide practical, affordable and long term solutions for his patients' dental problems.
The needs of the clientele primarily formed the basis of the choices made in pursuing further training to become knowledgeable with current trends in the profession. In addition, when the need for specialized care arises, our office works with oral surgeons, periodontists, orthodontists, and endodontists in the area, to provide a team approach with high standards of care.
Dental healthcare delivery is a challenging field, especially its delivery to those who have had a 'bad' experience in the past. We work very hard to establish a comfortable and a trustable environment in our office. Our staff is friendly, caring and compassionate at all levels, and the fact that we have maintained the same core staff for many years, speaks for itself.
Over the years, our office has established agreements with a wide range of dental insurance carriers, including CSEA, Delta Dental, and the Empire plan of Blue Cross and Blue Shield, etc. (Please see a list of insurance companies we participate with). We provide financing options for those without insurance, and continue to explore ways to make good quality dental care affordable.
The bulk of the work we do currently falls under the category of general dentistry. We have expanded our services to provide care for other conditions including oral appliances to manage obstructive sleep apnea, and manage pain associated with head and neck region. Invisalign or clear aligner orthodontics is also becoming a feature in our practice. As the research in the field of dentistry continues to produce improvements in the ways and means of delivering dental care, we make the effort to incorporate it in our office.
Our journey has been a good one so far, and with the support of our staff and the continued patronage of our patients, the future seems bright. I always have a good experience with the entire staff. I had doctors son past couple times he was very nice! Very easy going, caring and did a great job. It's nice to feel at ease when In the dentist chair especially when you have anxiety. 10 stars!

The BEST Dentist I have ever had in my life. Since I recently moved to New York from Massachusetts I was nervous about finding a new doctor and dentist. I am soo lucky that I found Dr. Virjee AND Dr. Virjee Jr. on my first try. I will stay with them for as long as I possibly can. They are not only highly skilled but they also treated me like they've known me for years. Even on my first visit. It has also been the most pain free visits I have ever had. Hands down THE BEST Dentists in New York if not the entire north east. Thank you soo much Dr. Virjee!

I was going to my dentist for roughly 15 years until they no longer accepted my insurance. I called Dr. Virjee's office based on location and reviews. I was not disappointed. The receptionist was very friendly and put me at ease with the change. A dental hygienist named Brittany was very personable and explained each task every step of the way. Dr. Virjee was friendly and understanding. I strongly recommend Dr. Virjee's office!

Staff is always easy to work with. Appointments are generally on time and have never been more than a few minutes from scheduled time. Both Sr. and Jr. are great to deal with and have great sense of humor. Definitely recommend this dental practice.
